Putin: West Said Russia Would Break Apart, But We Proved Them Wrong!

The President took part in a plenary session of the Russian Popular Front (ONF) Action Forum. The President was also updated on several ONF projects, listened to a report on the operations of the forum’s themed platforms and talked with presentation participants. Vladimir Putin was updated on the ONF Cleaning Project launched to get rid of illegal landfills. The main element of the presentation was an interactive map of landfills. The President asked about the number of such landfills. Project coordinator Dmitry Mironov said there are over 15,000 of them. The ONF representatives also told the President they had reviewed the results of this project and used them to select the best and the worst regions in terms of effectiveness of removing the illegal landfills. They also said that the interactive map of the landfills would be forwarded to the Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment. After that, Vladimir Putin was told about the ONF Youth project. Project coordinator Sergei Boyarsky pointed out that several independent projects have been launched within ONF Youth over the past four months and that some of them have already produced results. For example, the President learnt that over 10,000 people took part in the Russia’s Future Image project and provided statistical data on the interests of Russia’s young people. This year’s forum is the largest in the ONF history. It is being attended by over 4,000 delegates from across Russia, including active ONF members and representatives from public and volunteer organisations and from federal and regional authorities.

BREAKING Trump May Have Another Pardon Up His Sleeve…Obama Hates It

 Late last Friday the White House announced that President Trump would pardon popular Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Now, a major Trump supporter is calling on the president to issue another pardon. Veteran Republican Strategist and an early advisor to the President Trump election campaign, Roger Stone, is calling on his former boss to pardon notorious cattle rancher Cliven Bundy. “I will return to Las Vegas on Sept 15 to call on @realDonaldTrump to pardon the Bundys and their supporters,” Stone wrote in a recent tweet. Cliven Bundy, the Bundy family patriarch, was arrested in February 2016 on charges connected to a 2014 standoff between federal agents and the Bundy family. Before his arrest, Cliven Bundy was traveling from his family homestead in Nevada to Oregon to take part in another anti-government protest over land use. The Bundy family has been engaged in a decade long legal battle with the federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM). After paying grazing fees for a number of years, in 1993, Cliven Bundy refused to renew his grazing permit in an act of protest against the BLM. In 2014, BLM agents launched a “cattle gather” in an attempt to round up and auction off cattle owned by Cliven Bundy, which were supposedly trespassing on federal land. According to the BLM, Cliven Bundy owed the government an excess of $1 million in past-due grazing fees, reports Oregon Live. Members of the Bundy family and supporters of their cause formed an impromptu militia in an attempt to confront the BLM agents. The federal agents eventually retreated in an attempt to avoid a violent confrontation. Bundy continued to graze his cattle on federal land. Almost exactly two years later, Cliven Bundy’s sons Ammon and Ryan helped organize a similar protest in Oregon. The younger Bundy family members temporally took over the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge outside of Burns, Oregon. Ryan and Ammon said they took over the wildlife refuge to protest the recent arrest of local Burns residents Steven and Dwight Hammond. The Hammonds were a father and son rancher team who were accused by the BLM of committing arson on federal land. The Bundy family arrived in Oregon to protest their conviction in early 2016. The Bundy family were joined in their 40-day occupation of the wildlife refuge by a large gathering of supporters. Near the end of the occupation, Cliven Bundy attempted to travel to the area to aid his son’s cause. Bundy was arrested while leaving the plane to join the few remaining protesters at the wildlife refuge. He was charged with a series of crimes related to his 2014 protest, including interfering with an officer and weapons related charges. Ammon and Ryan Bundy were also charged with interfering with a federal officer for their role in the 2014 protest while organizing the Malheur Park takeover. Both of the Bundy boys have been acquitted of all charges in their trial which ended in August this year. According to The Daily Caller, Cliven Bundy is the only member of the Bundy family still facing charges. It will be interesting to see what comes of Roger Stone’s meeting with President Trump–and whether or not another pardon will be issued in a matter of overbearing federal decisions.

On December 12th, 2017, The Department of Justice turned over about 375 text messages to Congress ahead of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s committee appearance the following day. These text messages were uncovered during a Justice Department inspector general investigation into whether political influence affected DOJ decisions during the campaign. As many are aware, wildfires have been ravaging the southern portion of the state for the past week or so, with tens of thousands of acres being torched and unthinkable property losses occurring. A severe draught combined with fierce winds have helped the fire spread rapidly across the region, but according to Gov. Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown, they have a different cause entirely. If you guessed he blamed them on global warming, you’d be correct. From the Daily Caller: California Governor Jerry Brown said the wildfires ravaging the greater Los Angeles area are part of a “new normal” residents can expect due to man-made global warming. “This is kind of the new normal,” said Brown, a Democrat, on Saturday while touring Ventura County neighborhoods wrecked by the Thomas Fire, that is already one of the largest in state history. “With climate change, some scientists are saying that Southern California is literally burning up,” Brown said, according to CNN. “So we have to have the resources to combat the fires and we also have to invest in managing the vegetation and forests … in a place that’s getting hotter.” Lovely, eh? People like Brown just can’t help but insert their climate religion into every, and anything to do with our weather. The problem is that the scientific community doesn’t agree with Moobeam’s assessment. Brown’s statements, though ominous, aren’t in line with the scientific consensus. The latest National Climate Assessment report put a “low” to “medium” confidence on claims global warming was making wildfires worse across the western U.S. Wildfires could increase in severity in the coming decades, but parsing out the driving factors behind fire trends is complicated, since so much of it depends on land management policies and year-to-year variations in temperature and rainfall. Meanwhile, there’s an argument to be made that environmental overregulation has been a driving force behind the fires. In fact, according to a report from the New American, it’s been the outrageous lawsuits from environmentalists coupled with horrible mismanagement from the government causing recent fires to become so extreme. Wildfires occur naturally and have always been a part of the seasonal cycle in the West, but the size and intensity of the fires have dramatically increased in recent years due, in large measure, to the gross mismanagement of the national forests by the U.S. Forest Service and the incessant lawsuits of radical environmentalists that have thwarted all reasonable attempts at proper forest management. As The New American has reported many times over the past three decades, the unconscionable destruction of our vast forests, watersheds, and wildlife habitat is the inevitable result of policies and practices imposed by federal politicians and bureaucrats, in tandem with the obstructionist programs of extreme environmental activists. On July 10, 1999, this writer attended and reported on a congressional hearing of the House Resource Subcommittee on Forests and Forest Health chaired by the late Representative Helen Chenoweth (R-Idaho). The hearing was held in the logging town of John Day, Oregon, in the heart of the Malheur National Forest, which had been effectively shut down and closed to logging by the U.S. Forest Service. Hundreds of millions of board feet of dead and dying timber and huge sections of blow-down timber were being left to rot and create massive bug infestations and fire hazards, while the local mills were starving for logs and Americans were being forced to import lumber and wood products from Canada. So there you have it. On one hand, you have Moonbeam saying climate change – the blind belief that man has a noticeable impact on Mother Nature – is what’s causing the fires to become more intense, on the other hand you have demonstrable evidence showing how the fires have increased in intensity. Which are you going to believe, and which is more likely to help solve the issue of wildfires destroying huge swaths of land?
