Trump Finally Reveals Just How Many People He’s Going To Deport as President

Trump vows to deport up to 3 million immigrants 'immediately'
US president-elect Donald Trump has said he will deport two to three million undocumented immigrants "immediately" upon taking office. He also insisted that a barrier will be built between the US and Mexico.
During an interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes that will air in full later tonight, President-elect Donald Trump detailed how many undocumented immigrants he plans on deporting right away when he takes office.

Speaking to Leslie Stahl, Trump first noted that the much-discussed border wall along Mexico’s border could potentially be part wall and part fencing.

“For certain areas I would, but certain areas, a wall is more appropriate,” Trump explained. “I’m very good at this, it’s called construction.”

As far as deporting immigrants here illegally, Trump stated that he’s going to concentrate on those with criminal records first. However, that number will still be in the millions.
“What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers,” Trump told Stahl. “A lot of these people, probably two million — it could be even three million — we are getting them out of our country or we are going to incarcerate. But we’re getting them out of our country, they’re here illegally.”

It is estimated that there are roughly 11 million undocumented immigrants in this country. Trump has at times said that he would remove all immigrants here illegally while also bringing up the need for deportation forces.

Rioting has erupted in the US during a second night of unrest after Donald Trump’s shock election victory. Activists hit the streets for another wave of protests with hundreds gathering outside the Republican’s buildings in New York and Chicago. Police declared a protest in Portland a riot after it escalated into violence with people wielding baseball bats, smashing up cars and store windows and lighting flares. WILL TRUMP BE ASSASSINATED? PUTIN AND RUSSIAN TV WARNS!!!

 On the face of it the odds are actually higher than either of the other answers are suggesting. After all, the US has had 43 (different) presidents and 4 of them have been assassinated. I think around 10% is a higher figure than either Lee or Robert is thinking.

And it's not like people haven't tried to kill some of the others. Wiki lists attempts on another 16 Presidents...

...some of which were reasonably close to being successful. Reagan was actually shot and George W Bush had a grenade thrown at him that didn't go off.

You might argue that the Secret Service is better resourced and more capable these days (relative to the potential threat) and point out that it's now been more than 50 years since a successful attempt. I'm probably inclined to agree with this, if only because I don't imagine security was up to much in the 19th century.

You would probably point out that 3 of the 4 presidential assassinations occurred more than a century ago and aren't particularly relevant now. I'd agree.

You might think that counterbalancing this is Donald Trump's propensity to say truly offensive things. I don't think that matters as much as people would expect. Every president is going to have enemies but assassination attempts are so rare (compared with the number of people who feel wronged) that I suspect randomness trumps everything else. Offending Muslims doesn't necessarily make you a target to be killed.

In summary. Not impossible - high profile assassinations do happen, even of very well protected people. But not likely.
