Catherine Austin Fitts - We’ve Reached “Never Never Land” Accounting
There is good reason people are going to real assets. The U.S. government is “missing” $21 trillion between the DOD and HUD. This fact was uncovered by Fitts and economist Dr. Mark Skidmore last year. What was the government’s answer to this gigantic accounting fraud that is the size of the federal deficit? Give the government’s budgets basically classified national security status. Investment advisor and former Assistant Secretary of Housing, Catherine Austin Fitts says, “Apparently, the people leading the audit have come to them and said if we do this audit, we will disclose classified projects. So, the board (Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board - FASAB) came out with a new policy. I say it is illegal. You cannot do it under the financial management laws, and you certainly cannot do it under the Constitution, and it said you can keep classified off the books, which means you can cook the books and you can basically do whatever you want. This matches up with the waiver given to the national security advisor that says corporations, if he waives them (regulations), can also cook their books with the SEC. Now, we have the corporations making money, and they can cook their books under the law, and apparently the government can too. So, when the board made the statement and announced this new policy, they made the point that if they didn’t do this, the only alternative was to redact the Department of Defense financial statements, which meant you would have to redact the U.S. government’s financial statements, which means we have reached “Never, Never Land,” which also means the whole thing is a joke. . . . As a matter of policy, they are saying you have to give them, for the IRS, for the Census and all these other things, complete financial disclosure and honest financial disclosure by pain of law or you go to prison, but they can make up whatever they want. They can publish financial statements that are complete fiction with no accountability to you and call it national security. What this is doing is engineering complete financial insecurity for every American citizen. This is the end of financial security.” In closing, Fitts says, “I am a gold fan. . . . You also want to have as little leverage and debt as possible. . . . I am also a silver fan, and I am getting reports that silver is getting hard to find. Gold is down 8% for the year and silver is down 16%, but go and try to buy a bunch of silver. Central bank activity is a mystery that we can best attempt to solve through studying clues and through asking questions—particularly the question “Cui bono” meaning literally, “a benefit to whom?” After gold lost $84 an ounce last Friday and silver lost $1.81, we can conclude the beneficiaries were not gold or silver investors who panicked and sold, but rather those who are fighting to preserve the reputation of the U.S. dollar and the fiat currency model that underpins the global economy. As with all things central bank-related, we can only speculate and conjecture. This is the purpose of this commentary. It is a worthwhile exercise because the most effective way to gain confidence in our investment strategy, which is now becoming a survival strategy, is through the sincere pursuit of economic/geopolitical truth. Ron Paul: The Dollar Will CRASH - The Banking System Is BANKRUPT!
Josh Sigurdson talks with Dr. Ron Paul, former congressman, presidential candidate, author and host of The Liberty Report. Dr. Paul talks about the coming dollar crash and how it will happen. There is no escaping the fact that all fiat currencies throughout history have reverted to zero eventually. While the fundamentals are off the table due to the level of manipulation in the monetary system as well as in the markets and one cannot put a date on the coming crash, we know it has to happen. It's inevitable. As we reach a potential yield curve inversion, this will not end well. Will we see a global centrally planned cashless society? Dr. Paul says it's a desperation move to attempt to implement such an agenda, but that it's not likely to actually succeed. All the same the potential is a major problem and something individuals must understand. From that, Dr. Paul talks about the insolvent banking system and how the cash to deposit ratio among the banks show that the banks must fail. Many of the major banks have a ratio of less than 1% of deposits covered in cash. They never recovered following 2008 and have been essentially propped up, only getting worse as they're further centralized into temporary prosperity. The everything bubble is also a major issue on the coming timeline. We have a pension bubble that could see a 400 trillion dollar shortfall globally by the year 2050. That's more than 4 times the global yearly GDP. Can it sustain itself? Certainly not. Dr. Paul talks about the countless problems with the pension system and with that the utter dependency so much of the populace has on government. Is there a concerted effort to push the populace into complete dependency to the state and banking system? Absolutely says Dr. Paul. That's the point!
