Nuclear War Looming -- FEMA, DHS to Conduct Nuclear Emergency Prep Exercise In Pennsylvania

 The Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will evaluate a Biennial Emergency Preparedness Exercise at the Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station. The exercise will occur during the week of April 10th, 2017 to assess the ability of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to respond to an emergency at the nuclear facility.

“These drills are held every other year to evaluate government’s ability to protect public health and safety,” said MaryAnn Tierney, Regional Administrator for FEMA Region III. “We will assess state and local emergency response capabilities within the 10-mile Emergency Planning Zone as well as the adjacent support jurisdictions within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.”

Within 90 days, FEMA will send its evaluation to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for use in licensing decisions. The final report will be available to the public approximately 120 days after the exercise.

Mike Rivero’s background is as eclectic as his radio show and website. Formerly with NASA, Mike transitioned his image processing skills (along with a brief stint as a child actor) into the then-new computer animation field, starting with award winning commercials, then working on films such as “Star Trek”, “The Day After Tomorrow”, and later supervising visual effects on “Brainscan”, “LOST”, and “Hawaii Five-0”. Mike Rivero has taken a sabbatical from film work to focus all his efforts on peace activism.

Mike Rivero’s foray into blogging began before the word was even invented, and happened almost by accident when he spotted a suspicious photograph being broadcast on ABC news in 1994 related to the murder of White House Deputy Counsel Vincent Foster.Since that abrupt beginning, What Really Happened, both website and radio show, has expanded to cover diverse topics including the assassinations, the accidental shoot-down of TWA 800, election fraud, health issues, Saddam’s non-existent nuclear weapons, 9-11, the economy, and the ongoing propaganda used to trick the American people into wars of conquest in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, and other nations.

Red Alert -- Massive Drill Underway In Columbus, Ohio with Over 500 Crises Actors

 Emergency response agencies planning a large-scale disaster drill around Columbus say over 500 people will be costumed to look like real victims, but there's no cause for alarm because it's only an exercise.

Organizers say the Tuesday morning drill will occur mostly at MAPFRE Stadium, though observers may also notice increased activity at John Glenn International Airport, Otterbein University and hospitals in the area. They say the fake victims will be in makeup made to look like real injuries.

The drill involves emergency response agencies from around the area, including police, firefighters, medics and hospital personnel.

Paul Craig Roberts -- Nuclear War More Likely

 Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, formerly a top editor at the Wall Street Journal, says nuclear war is the most dire problem Americans face. This comes at a time when trust between Russia and America is at all-time lows. Dr. Roberts says, “The danger is both warning systems, ours and the Soviets (Russians). During the period of the cold war, there were many false alarms of incoming missiles. Both sides would see incoming missiles, and yet no one believed it, and the reason they didn’t believe it was that the governments were working together to defuse tensions. You had Kennedy with Khrushchev. You had Nixon who gave us SALT-1, an anti-ballistic missile treaty. You had Carter who gave us SALT-2. You had Reagan and Gorbachev who ended the cold war. So, all during these periods when false information of incoming missiles came in, no one believed it, but if you have distrust between the two powers as we now have, and Putin has said on a number of occasions we can no longer trust the Americans, if you can’t trust and you get incoming missile alerts, you are much more inclined to believe it. So, the prospect of nuclear war is more likely. Washington and the media . . . are creating distrust among their populations with Russia with this constant anti-Russian propaganda. With all this bogus and false allegations about Russia. . . . the chances of all this going poof are very high.”
