Rush Limbaugh Wonders If Every Time Obama Says He's 'Not A Dictator' He's Really Wishing He Was

3/4/13 - During his show Monday, Rush Limbaugh used President Obama's assertion that he's "not a dictator" from last Friday's press conference to question the president's real motives when it comes to running the country. Limbaugh argued that President Obama "has a chip on his shoulder" about the country, believing that its founding was "unjust" and "immoral" and that the Constitution is an "obstacle" to him achieving more power. "Every time I hear him say he's not a dictator, he doesn't complete the statement, 'but I wish I was.'" But, as Limbaugh explains, that's no reason to think he doesn't mean it.

He went on to say that "the 230-year-old engine of prosperity in this country is under assault" and that it's "undeniable" that the economy is on a downward trend. When Limbaugh really finds remarkable though, is that the American people seem to only want to blame Republicans in Congress for their economic troubles, not the president.

Limbaugh is certainly correct about this phenomenon when it comes to the sequester. A Washington Post-Pew poll released before Friday's budget deadline came and went found that 45 percent of Americans would blame congressional Republicans for failing to come to a deal wheras only 32 percent would blame President Obama.

George Noory was joined by Father Nicholas Gruner, one of the world's leading authorities on traditional Roman Catholic doctrine and practice, for a discussion on the series of apparitions at Fatima, Portugal from May to October 1917, in which a number of predictions, requests and warnings were allegedly conveyed by the Virgin Mary to three shepherd children. He theorized that the Virgin Mary appeared to these children, rather than the Pope, because they would be more receptive to her messages and not be "confused by all sorts of theological ideas." Over the course of the evening, Gruner also shared his thoughts on the recent resignation of Pope Benedict, the upcoming papal conclave, and how it may connect to Fatima and other prophecies.

Regarding the infamous 'third secret' of Fatima which is believed to be a prophecy of dire future world events, Gruner recalled how Sister Lucia, the most famous of the three shepherd children, wrote down the first two secrets with ease but "she couldn't bring herself" to record the final part. After being given a formal order by the Church to write it, Lucia still agonized for three months trying to document it and, allegedly, only finished the job after she received another visit from the Virgin Mary, who told her that to do so was the 'will of God.' As to what the third secret foretells, Gruner noted that Lucia once claimed that it could be found in Chapters 8 to 12 of the Book of Revelations.

Although the Vatican claims to have released the complete text of the third secret in the year 2000, Gruner adamantly disputed this contention, saying that "the most important part, they left out." To that end, he put forward that there were two documents and that the Vatican only released the contents of the first part. He cited the testimony of Archibishop Capovilla, former secretary to Pope John XXIII, who "said there was another attachment" which was not a part of the official disclosure. On whether the events predicted in the third secret can be averted, Gruner suggested that if the Pope consecrated Russia, as prescribed in the second secret of Fatima, then perhaps it could prevent the troubling final events predicted.

This "Problem-Reaction-Solution" technique is not just used to create and control wars, it can be applied to any situation where you want to produce a particular outcome. For example, this technique is currently being used to centralize power in the financial world. It can also be used to introduce new laws that restrict our civil liberties. So, whenever you see some big news story - whether it be an alleged terrorist attack, a run on a currency, an accidental loss of people's personal data, an assertion that everyday people are causing "global warming", or an allegation that some poor country has developed nuclear weapons - the first question you need to ask yourself is this: "Who benefits from me believing this story?"

Morally, I have nothing wrong with competing currencies or Bitcoins. Financially, I realize anything digital can be replicated ad infinitum. While Solar Cycle 24 has been very quiet, he expects activity to pick up and actually be stronger than Cycle 23 at times, with short but powerful X Class flares hitting during 2011-2012. During the third hour, geologist Jim Berkland and quake sensitive Cal Orey joined the discussion. Berkland noted that in parts of the country, we were seeing one of the coolest summers on record. Obama acted Friday, the deadline for the president and Congress to avoid the steep, one-year cuts. Obama has insisted on replacing the cuts, known as a "sequester" in government budget language, with tax increases and cuts spread out over time. Republicans have rejected any plan that included tax revenue. The government says the reductions will soon result in furlough notices to government employees and will trim government spending on defense contracts and in domestic government programs. Active military personnel and anti-poverty and low-income assistance programs are largely protected from the cuts.

3/1/13 - With no deal ahead of the deadline for the automatic spending cuts to take effect, President Obama held a press conference on Friday — during which he continued to point the finger at Republicans, holding them accountable for lack of progress. Rush Limbaugh grew tired of this reasoning, during his show, criticizing Obama for feigned concern.

The presser and everything Obama said leading up to it has been "narcissistic" and "self-indulgent," Limbaugh asserted, adding, "I've never seen this kind of self-absorption."

"This president stands up there today and he enjoys, folks, reciting the kind of pain Americans are going to feel," he continued. "He is supposed to be doing things to prevent all of this, and yet not only is he not doing things to prevent it, he is encouraging these kinds of hurtful, harmful things to happen so he can blame the Republicans for it."

Contending that Obama's objective is to rid himself of political opposition, the radio host went on to say the president "benefits, politically, career-wise, he benefits from this pain" — so long as the blame is pushed onto someone else.

"There is no real concern for people and their lives," he said. "That's feigned."

Obama's 2012 interview with the Des Moines Register foreshadowed this despite his insisting the automatic cuts weren't his idea, Limbaugh continued. Specifically, he cited the quote in which Obama said: "So when you combine the Bush tax cuts expiring, the sequester in place, the commitment of both myself and my opponent...we're going to be in a position where I believe in the first six months we are going to solve that big piece of business."

Yet he said the sequester wouldn't happen during a presidential debate, Limbaugh noted — and both statements can't be true. In the Register interview, he concluded, Obama meant what he said.

The strombolian explosions have been going on all morning gradually increasing, evidenced by the production of dense gas plumes that rose several hundred meters above the crater. Around 10:30 the strombolian activity has evolved into a fountain of lava producing a small eruptive paroxysm, and remained rather constant (albeit with a slight and temporary decrease between 11:20 and 11:30 ) for about three hours. During the most intense, the plume produced by fontanamento took a darker because of the ash produced and taken over by the eruption plume ( photo below left ). During this stage the other craters produced only degassing, without any eruptive activity. (Source: Alfio Mazzaglia) The intensity of the explosion has been gradually declining from 13:30 or so, returning on a phenomenology similar to that observed during the night, with continuous explosions that during the most energetic events, throwing incandescent material up to 150 meters over the 'crater edge ( photo below right ). The strombolian activity to the Crack went on like that throughout the course of the February 27 and during the following night.

Survivalism & Disaster Preparation with Mat Stein

Engineer, author and building contractor, Mat Stein talked about specific disaster scenarios and what we can do to prepare for them. One concern he cited is the danger from nuclear reactors, which could have power knocked out to them in the event of a strong solar storm (which happen around every 70 years). When the reactors' back-up power runs out, there could be multiple nuclear meltdowns, on the level of Fukushima and Chernobyl, he warned. So far, the US government has shown reluctance to spend the money on making the electrical grid less vulnerable.

He advocated that people be prepared to make it for a week or a month on their own, in the event of a disaster. Along with food, some type of water filtration system is crucial, he said, noting that water can actually be disinfected by leaving it in the sun. A head lamp can prove useful in a variety of situations, in which you may have to perform certain tasks in the dark, he said. Stein also suggested that people obtain a colloidal silver generator, as a solution made from this can successfully kill pathogens, and is like having a "pharmacy in a jar."
