Guest host John B. Wells (email) welcomed author and researcher Steve Quayle, who discussed the secret powerful forces aligned against humanity since ancient times, and how genetics, nanotechnology, and robotics are permanently changing the world for better or worse. He observed that "in every single country of the world," there are legends which tell of entities who come to Earth not only bestowing their secrets upon humans, but also "going to war with mankind." Quayle observed that this overarching theme is "too formidable a subject to ignore in any way, shape, or form."

He traced the root of this battle to be a "supernatural, evil hierarchy" using misguided humans to corrupt God's works here on Earth. These human agents of Satan, he said, believe they will be given greater power by yielding their free will to dark forces. However, Quayle warned, "that power, they yield to, will ultimately consume and destroy them." He pointed to transhumanism as a key aspect of this agenda. "The goal is not to help humanity be all we can be," he lamented. Instead, Quayle contended that the aim is to create a race of quasi-gods which will supplant the human race as we know it. "If anything, the old style human beings will be an irritation, or reminder, of what the transhumanists once were," he surmised.

Additionally, according to Quayle, the current economic crisis is actually an orchestrated tool being used to advance this Satanic agenda. To that end, he explained that sinister power brokers are "throwing the world into a global economic meltdown in order to bring about the New World Order under Lucifer." The unrest in the Middle East, ongoing "weather wars," and the increased police state in America are also facets of this ongoing spiritual battle between good and evil. While Quayle conceded that he is "not a prophet" and was reticent to predict how things may unfold, he theorized that the much-discussed December 21, 2012 date may be their target to "launch their world program."

Maitreya (photos), he said, can make himself visible in any form, using "familiars" who become vehicles for his consciousness. In fact, Creme said that it was Maitreya's consciousness that worked through Jesus during his final three years leading up to the crucifixion. Maitreya, he added, also gave advice and instructions to Yasser Arafat, whom Creme characterized as a "great man."

In addition to Maitreya, there are 14 other spiritual "masters of wisdom" who have returned to the world, to assist humanity in moving from one cosmic cycle to the next, including Jesus, who is now located in Rome, said Creme. The other planets in our solar system are teeming with life, though it is on the etheric planes, he noted. UFOs are also made of this less dense, etheric matter but can become visible when they temporarily lower their rate of vibration in order to be seen, he explained.

We can evolve by becoming detached from our emotions, and recognizing that they have no more reality than dreams, Creme advised. He also advocated practicing honesty of mind and sincerity of spirit. In the final hour, Open Lines featured callers reacting to Creme's appearance.

The name Maitreya (Metteyya in Pāli) is derived from the Sanskrit word maitrī (Pāli: mettā) meaning "loving-kindness", which is in turn derived from the noun mitra (Pāli: mitta) in the sense of "friend".

The earliest mention of Metteyya is in the Cakavatti (Sihanada) Sutta in the Digha Nikaya 26 of the Pali Canon. He occurs in no other sutta in the Pali Canon, and this casts doubt as to the sutta's authenticity. Most of the Buddha's sermons are presented as preached in answer to a question, or in some other appropriate context, but this one has a beginning and an ending in which the Buddha is talking to monks about something totally different. Maitreya is sometimes represented seated on a throne Western-style, and venerated both in Mahāyāna and non-Mahāyāna Buddhism. Some have speculated that inspiration for Maitreya may have come from the ancient Indo-Iranian deity Mithra. The primary comparison between the two characters appears to be the similarity of their names. According to a book entitled The Religion of the Iranian Peoples, "No one who has studied the Zoroastrian doctrine of the Saoshyants or the coming saviour-prophets can fail to see their resemblance to the future Maitreya.

Fast-food restaurants are part of a $200 billion-dollar industry that pays its CEOs astronomical amounts in salaries, bonuses and stock options. The 2012 compensation for David Novak, CEO of Yum! Brands, which owns Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, was $29.4 million, or over 4,300 times as much as the pay of an average employee. In 2011, after four months on the job, Wendy's CEO Emil Brolick earned $4.6 million. Jim Skinner, McDonald's outgoing CEO, is slated to receive about $10 million by the end of the year. The Fast Food Forward protest comes on top of similar actions at Walmart stores across the country on Black Friday. The Walmart protests were part of an attempt to unionize the company's low-wage workers (who make an average of $8.81 an hour) by United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW). Extreme social inequality and the rapid increase of poverty have created concern among the upper middle-class layers. The political aim behind the New York fast-food protests, similar to the Walmart protests, is to smother a social explosion before it happens with militant-sounding rhetoric on the one hand and slavish support for the Obama administration on the other.

Prof. Gary R. Habermas discussed the historical evidence for the life of Jesus Christ, based on the work of a cross-section of contemporary scholars. Christ was a Middle Easterner, perhaps darker skinned than people typically picture him, and most scholars agree that he was a miracle worker. There are around 30 accounts of his miracles in the Gospels that can serve as historical documentation. Further, he is the only founder of a major religion to have miracles associated with him within a generation of his death, he said.

Many scholars also believe that at least in some sense Jesus was raised from the dead, Habermas asserted. "It's generally conceded that the disciples had real experiences," in terms of their witnessing his appearance after his death, he added. Alternative accounts of Jesus' life that claim he was married and had children are not backed up by any early historical data, he noted.

He spoke about the number 666 mentioned in end times prophecy, which he related to the Greco-Roman concept of the 'magic square of the sun,' a kind of occult mathematics. Through a circuitous route, the number 666 indicates something about the cosmic impostor or enemy to God or Christ, he suggested. Heiser also critiqued the work of Zecharia Sitchin, disagreeing with a number of his translations of Sumerian cuneiform, which form the foundation of his theories about Nibiru, and the Annunaki.

Sereda said he believes the FAA advisory, which indicates GPS will be unreliable in the area due to Department of Defense testing, is merely a cover story. Catholic priest, Fr. Nicholas Gruner of the Fatima Center discussed his research into the Third Secret of Fatima. He declared the alleged visitation by the Virgin Mary in 1917, and her message imparted to three young children, to be "the definitive revelation of our time."

Based on his research, he said that it is a misperception that the Virgin Mary bestowed three separate secrets. Instead, he claimed that the message is a sequential series of events with the infamous "third secret" being the conclusion. Detailing new information which suggests that the "official release" of the third secret by the Vatican in 2000 was actually incomplete, Gruner revealed that when Sister Lucia wrote down that portion of the prophecy, she divided it into two parts. "One is the words of 'Our Lady' and one is the vision," he said. According to him, the Catholic Church only released the description of the vision and not the words spoken by Mary.

Gruner talked at length about the suspicious treatment of the longest living survivor of the Fatima visitation, Sister Lucia, who died in 2005, nearly 90 years after the event. He asserted that "no other nun in the history of the Church has been so closely controlled as to who she saw." As evidence of this, he pointed out that she was not allowed to conduct any public interviews after 1957. He also cited testimony from Lucia's own sister, who said that the famous nun was never allowed any private time with visitors and could only speak with close family members.

Advising people on what to do if they want the third secret to be truly revealed, Gruner said they should pray, inform themselves of the Fatima story, and contact the Vatican (via the Pope's email address: benedictxvi@vatican.va) to ask for them to release the complete message. He was optimistic that the third secret would be revealed in the not too distant future, theorizing it could be as early as a few months from now or as far out as three years.

The Three Secrets of Fátima consist of a series of visions and prophecies allegedly given by an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three young Portuguese shepherds, Lúcia Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto, starting on 13 May 1917. The three children have been visited by a Marian apparition six times between May and October 1917 (evident through the witness of thousands of people & the news agencies at that time). The apparition is now popularly known as Our Lady of Fátima.

According to the official Catholic interpretation, the three secrets involve Hell, World War I and World War II, and the shooting of Pope John Paul II.

On 13 July 1917, around noon, the Virgin Mary is said to have entrusted the children with three secrets. Two of the secrets were revealed in 1941 in a document written by Lúcia, at the request of José da Silva, Bishop of Leiria, to assist with the publication of a new edition of a book on Jacinta. When asked by the Bishop of Leiria in 1943 to reveal the third secret, Lúcia struggled for a short period, being "not yet convinced that God had clearly authorized her to act." However, in October 1943 the bishop of Leiria ordered her to put it in writing. Lúcia then wrote the secret down and sealed it in an envelope not to be opened until 1960, when "it will appear clearer." The text of the third secret was officially released by Pope John Paul II in 2000, although some claim that it was not the entire secret revealed by Lúcia, despite repeated assertions from the Vatican to the contrary.

Third Secret controversy

The Holy See withheld the Third Secret until 26 June 2000, despite Lúcia's declaration that it should be released to the public after 1960. Some sources, including Canon Barthas and Cardinal Ottaviani, said that Lúcia insisted to them it must be released by 1960, saying that, "by that time, it will be more clearly understood", and, "because the Blessed Virgin wishes it so." When 1960 arrived, rather than releasing the Third Secret, the Vatican published an official press release stating that it was "most probable the Secret would remain, forever, under absolute seal." After this announcement, immense speculation over the content of the secret materialized. According to the New York Times, speculation over the content of the secret ranged from "worldwide nuclear annihilation to deep rifts in the Roman Catholic Church that lead to rival papacies."
