Anger at austerity is now a coined word, and it’s been occurring throughout the years in many countries across Europe. Even though it’s a proven fact that austerity doesn’t help the economy but acts as a quick fix, European governments, from France, the UK, and most recently Belgium continue to exercise this failed policy. In this edition of the debate, we’ll discuss why this practice continues, why Europeans for the most part are unhappy with their economic finances, while inequality is persisting with the rich getting richer, while the poor are getting poorer.
