I think the primary problem is that most people believe government can solve problems. They do not solve societal problems. If anything, government almost always makes it worse. It will take catastrophic level of hell before people question the validity of government. It isn't until this financial crisis causes the masses to begin to starve that people will get angry. It's saddening and sickening.
