Former US envoy to the United Nations says Israel has until August 21st
to attack Iran's nuclear sites. This is before Russia finalizes its
shipment of nuclear fuel to Iran. So is an Israeli attack forthcoming?
Wayne Madsen says that if there is an attack, multiple nations would
join and there could be a major war
ahead.
I highly doubt there will be any attack on Iran this year. Reason for this is the US government hasn't leveraged enough support from its citizens to go forth with such an aggressive action. Afghanistan and Iraq were much easier targets as 9/11 was fresh in the minds of the American people. It's been 12 years since that tragic day, and too many questions have gone unanswered. Unless the US government can capitalize on another tragedy similar or greater than 9/11, Iran is off the table and this is all mere sabre-rattling. Israel on the other hand is incapable of attacking Iran because of the complexity of such an attack, I do however believe that there will be a war with Iran in the near future, the newly elected President of Iran will have to test the waters of international diplomacy first before that can happen.
