 The theme of the Commffest Film Festival this year is homelessness. After being asked by the organizers to produce a documentary on the topic I set to work. The world premiere of the resulting film, When the Middle Class Becomes Homeless was Sept 25, 2011. Every hour of every day, another middle class Canadian cartwheels into the bottomless abyss of homelessness. More and more members of the middle class are losing their jobs and everything they have worked a lifetime to accumulate. On a recent visit to a homeless shelter I was struck by the change in the type of residents I found there. Nearly half of them were recently successful members of the middle class who still carried cell phones and dressed in middle class style, looking like they were on their way to a job interview & making them indistinguishable from your next door neighbour or you for that matter. There is an unproclaimed epidemic threatening the very fabric of our society. Homelessness among the middle class is sweeping through our civilization at an alarming rate and nobody is talking about it. They speak of the shrinking or declining Middle Class, but not of what happens to a middle class family when they are no longer members of this group. The causes are myriad, but there is only one reason why this is happening to our fellow Canadians; Governments at all levels have acquiesced to the agenda of the dominant elite that is currently striving to transform Canada into a 2 class society consisting of the ruling elite and those who serve them.

The report the details of which to be found in the latest EDITION OF Bitcoin magazine states, and we are going to quote a substantial part of it as it is so eloquently explained:

“The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) is studying the prospect of issuing its own digital currency and is aiming to roll out a product as soon as possible. The PBOC, China’s central bank, is persuaded that a state-backed digital currency could reduce capital outflow, money laundering and tax evasion, make economic activity more transparent and improve the efficiency of global transactions.

The creation of China’s state digital currency was discussed at a meeting in Beijing, attended by digital fintech experts and high level authorities including PBOC’s Governor and Deputy Governor. The PBOC’s official statement is in Chinese only, but Chinese speakers have confirmed that the automatic translation provided by Google is reasonably accurate and understandable.

A research team including experts from Citigroup and Deloitte has been looking into digital currencies since 2014 and has achieved some encouraging initial results. This team is now expected to “set up clear strategic objectives for digital currencies issued by the central bank, and develop key technologies and applications aimed at an early launch of a digital currency issued by the central bank.”

Our sources within China not only advise us that this is true but the planning is at such an advanced stage. We expect to see a product being launched before the end of 2016. Nebraska Republican Senator Ben Sasse was in Iowa this week talking about why Donald Trump is not a conservative.

CHUCK TODD: “And you believe Donald Trump is simply not a conservative?”

BEN SASSE: “Hey, listen, what Donald Trump has actually said out there is ‘when I’m president I’ll be able to do whatever I want.’ No, that’s not the American way. The American tradition is to say the executive branch is to faithfully execute the laws not try to run the country. We don’t need anybody to run our country. We need Washington to faithfully execute the laws and reaffirm American greatness, which is in the communities of Nebraska and Iowa.”

Senator Sasse told MSNBC's Chuck Todd that we can make America great again by returning power to the people and communities.

“Government is not the author or source of our rights and you don’t make America great again by giving more power to one guy in Washington, DC. You make America great again by recovering a constitutional republic where Washington is populated by people who are servant leaders, who want to return power to the people and to the communities. Because what’s great in America is the Rotary Club, its small businesses, its churches, its schools, its fire departments and its Little Leagues across this country. What makes America great is not some guy in Washington who says ‘if I had more power I could fix it all unilaterally.’ That’s not the American tradition.”

Sasse defined 21st Century conservatism.

“America is the most exceptional nation in the history of the world because the US Constitution is the best political document that’s ever been written. Because it says something different than almost any people in any government has believed in human history. Most governments in the past said might makes right and the King has all the power and the people are dependent subjects. And the American founders said no. God gives us rights by nature and government is just our shared project to secure those rights.”

The plane crashed at Southwest Regional Airport in Arcola, Texas, and burst into flames, setting hangars ablaze, according to a tweet from the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office posted at about 11 a.m. local time.
