Author Timothy Dailey, whose research shows how Western culture is experiencing an unprecedented explosion of fascination with all things paranormal joined Richard Syrett. Dailey argued that a "paranormal conspiracy" including such phenomena as UFOs, Bigfoot, spirit contact, ghosts, and alien abduction is part of a demonic deception. Stemming from a metaphysical origin, "beings and forces from other dimensions are temporarily intersecting our universe" and have the ability to fleetingly manifest or project into our realm in a variety of advanced ways, he suggested, adding that they thrive on human fear.

UFO phenomena is largely a confusing and destabilizing experience that turns to terror when it comes to alien abductions, he remarked. He cited abduction experiences (such as what Whitley Strieber described in Communion) as being dark, sinister, and demonic, and not in sync with notions of the lofty goals of an advanced civilization.

Dailey also pointed to the case of Canadian journalist Joe Fisher, who as part of his investigations into spirits, mediums, and channeling became obsessed with his own spirit guide. He traveled to Greece to investigate claims of the spirit guide and found it was all deception. Around the time his book on these events was published, he went into a paranoid downward spiral about the spirits, which led to his eventual suicide, Dailey recounted.

Heads Up! Movement Grows to Ban Gun Use In Your Home

All handguns in Los Angeles homes will have to be locked up or disabled with a trigger lock under a new ordinance unanimously approved by the city council this week. A similar proposal already is law in San Francisco, and other cities across American are considering such laws.

Even retired L.A. police officers would have to secure theirguns or face six months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000,Guns.com reported.

“Los Angeles will become the largest city in California to require all handgun owners in the city to store their handguns in a locked container or disable them with a trigger lock when kept in their home,” the ordinance’s author, city councilman Paul Krekorian, said in a press release.

The city council’s approval of the measure is part of a new nationwide push for stricter gun control on the local level, The Los Angeles Times reported. Krekorian hopes the ordinance will inspire cities across the country to adopt similar laws.

The Secret Societies That Start & Stop Wars, Manipulate Stock Markets & Censor the News (2001)

 A secret society is a club or organization whose activities, events, and inner functioning are concealed from non-members. The society may or may not attempt to conceal its existence. The term usually excludes covert groups, such as intelligence agencies or guerrilla insurgencies, that hide their activities and memberships but maintain a public presence. The exact qualifications for labeling a group as a secret society are disputed, but definitions generally rely on the degree to which the organization insists on secrecy, and might involve the retention and transmission of secret knowledge, denial of membership or knowledge of the group, the creation of personal bonds between members of the organization, and the use of secret rites or rituals which solidify members of the group.

Anthropologically and historically, secret societies are deeply interlinked with the concept of the Mannerbund, the all-male "warrior-band" or "warrior-society" of pre-modern cultures (see H. Schurtz, Alterklassen und Mannerbunde, Berlin, 1902; A. Van Gennep, The Rites of Passage, Chicago, 1960).

A purported "family tree of secret societies" has been proposed, although it may not be comprehensive.[2]

Alan Axelrod, author of the International Encyclopedia of Secret Societies and Fraternal Orders, defines a secret society as an organization that:

Is exclusive.
Claims to own special secrets.

David V. Barrett, author of Secret Societies: From the Ancient and Arcane to the Modern and Clandestine, uses slightly different terms to define what does and does not qualify as a secret society. He defines it as any group that possesses the following characteristics:

It has "carefully graded and progressed teachings"
Teachings are "available only to selected individuals"
Teachings lead to "hidden (and 'unique') truths"
Truths bring "personal benefits beyond the reach and even the understanding of the uninitiated."
Barrett goes on to say that "a further characteristic common to most of them is the practice of rituals which non-members are not permitted to observe, or even to know the existence of." Barrett's definition would rule out many organizations called secret societies; graded teaching is usually not part of the American college fraternities, the Carbonari, or the 19th century Know Nothings.

In the first half, leading spokesperson on the health dangers of genetically modified foods Jeffrey Smith talked about the passage of HR1599, the DARK Act, which would eliminate states' ability to call for the mandatory labeling of foods as GMO. "It was basically a purchased bill by the biotech industry and Big Food-- they spent almost $50 million in the first half of the year lobbying," he remarked. The new bill, which will be moving on for a vote in the Senate, calls for voluntary labeling, yet no company has ever voluntarily labeled its product as containing GMOs over the last 14 years, he noted. It also eliminates local jurisdiction over GMOs, and this would invalidate over 130 statutes and ordinances in 43 states, including numerous GM-free zones, he warned.

The number one symptom from consuming GM foods is digestive disorders, but people also suffer from low energy, brain fog, food allergies, weight issues, mood imbalances, and joint problems, he outlined. Smith has documented cases where people show dramatic improvements over these issues when they switch to a non-GMO diet. He also detailed the serious problems associated with Monsanto's Roundup herbicide, and announced his new documentary project, Secret Ingredients, for which they are seeking financial support through crowdfunding.

In the latter half, writer and lecturer Lon Milo DuQuette discussed his work on Tarot and western ceremonial magick. He addressed the controversy over the Baphomet statue unveiled by the Satanic Temple in Detroit-- they want to have the 9 ft. tall bronze work, depicting a winged hermaphrodite with the head of a goat, moved next to a Ten Commandments monument near Oklahoma City's Capitol building. Baphomet was an old Gnostic symbol for the supreme being, and used centuries ago as a representation for God by Knights Templar. They sought an ugly image because they felt nothing could match the actual beauty of God, he explained.

Delving into the historical concept of demons, DuQuette described how medieval magicians would conjure them up as representatives of their flaws and problems, and give them new orders to act as agents of change in their lives. He touched on his research into the life and work of magician/occultist Aleister Crowley, who people are still arguing about 70 years after his death. Crowley most likely served as a secret agent/spy for Great Britain, he confirmed. Regarding the Tarot, DuQuette connected it to Qabalistic traditions, and said the cards function as a perfected divination system in the hands of an effective and knowledgeable reader.
