Russian forces now "have complete operational control of the Crimean Peninsula," a senior U.S. administration official said Sunday of the escalating crisis in Ukraine. The United States estimates there are 6,000 Russian ground and naval forces in the region, the official said. Amid the tensions, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Kiev on Tuesday, an Obama administration official said.
Ukraine's new leaders accused neighbor Russia of declaring war, as Kiev mobilized troops and called up military reservists in a rapidly escalating crisis that has raised fears of a conflict.
Amid signs of Russian military intervention in Ukraine's Crimean peninsula, Russian generals led their troops to three bases in the region Sunday, demanding Ukrainian forces surrender and hand over their weapons, Vladislav Seleznyov, spokesman for the Crimean Media Center of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, told CNN.
Speaking by phone, he said Russian troops had blocked access to the bases, but added, "There is no open confrontation between Russian and Ukrainian military forces in Crimea" and said Ukrainian troops continue to protect and serve Ukraine.
"This is a red alert. This is not a threat. This is actually a declaration of war to my country," Ukrainian interim Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said.
Speaking in a televised address from the parliament building in the capital, Kiev, he called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to "pull back his military and stick to the international obligations."

Russian combat pilots are training to attack "enemy" forces in search and destroy missions as tensions continue to build, with Ukraine's interim government complaining of a Russian military invasion after armed men seized control of an airport in Crimea.
Following President Vladimir Putin's decision to order a snap combat readiness drill on February 26, troops and aircraft that were based in the western and central military districts of Russia have been redeployed to operational airfields as far as 500 kilometers away from their permanent bases.
"Crews will participate in search and rescue operations in the designated areas. In the training, pilots will also search for and destroy "enemy" forces and armoured objects on unfamiliar grounds," reports ITAR-TASS.
The nature of the drills clearly suggests that Russia is prepared to invade Ukrainian territory in the event of an escalation in the crisis, just as it sent troops into Georgia in 2008.
The development arrives on the back of complaints from Ukraine's interim government that Russia has launched a "military invasion" after armed men occupied Belbek international airport in Sevastopol, Crimea, where Russia has a naval base.
However, Moscow denies the claim, asserting that 50 armed men arrived at the airport to search for Ukrainian airborne troops but that they were not Russian soldiers. Eyewitnesses said the men were members of a local ethnic Russian "self-defense" militia.
Meanwhile, RIA Novosti reports, "Deposed Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych landed at a military airport in southern Russia late on Thursday escorted by fighter jets." Yanukovych is expected to give a speech shortly in which he will proclaim that he is still the legitimate President of Ukraine.

Following the move by Russia, NATO announced its "close and long-standing" relationship with Ukraine. "NATO is a sincere friend of Ukraine," said NATO boss Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
NATO arranged a joint commission with Ukraine in 1997. In 2008, it agreed the nation could join the NATO military alliance initially established during the Cold War.
"We stand ready to continue assisting Ukraine in its democratic reforms," he added.
Ukraine said on Thursday it would regard any movements by Russian military in Crimea outside the Russian Black Sea fleet's base in Sevastopol as an act of aggression.
Acting President Oleksander Turchinov issued the warning in the national parliament after armed men seized the regional government and parliament buildings in Crimea, where some ethnic Russians want the region to join the Russian Federation.

There is one truck per 10 soldiers, and they are completely loaded with weapons including flame-throwers. Upon arrival on the territory of Ukraine, they did not report their geographical locations to people, and they were assigned local tasks. Most likely, this was Sevastopol and Simferopol. Emergency troops remain in Yysk, and did not take part in the operation. The barracks of the 76th Storm Troops Division on Margelova Street in Pskov is practically empty.
Ukraine's prime minister said on Saturday his country would not be drawn into a military conflict by Russian "provocations" in the Crimea region and appealed to Moscow to halt military movements there.
"It is unacceptable when armored Russian military vehicles are out in the center of Ukrainian towns," Arseny Yatseniuk said before a government meeting in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.
Russia, which has a naval base in Crimea, says any movements by its military in Crimea are in line with agreements with Ukraine.
Russian lawmakers are proposing two bills that would simplify both the annexation of new territories into the Russian Federation and the process of granting Russian citizenship to Ukrainians, signaling that Moscow may attempt to absorb Crimea, Ukraine's peninsula which has very strong ties to Russia.

Emergency troops remain in Yysk, and did not take part in the operation. The barracks of the 76th Storm Troops Division on Margelova Street in Pskov is practically empty.

Those countries least likely to survive as an oil based civilization past 2020 are the United States, Britain, Europe and Canada. China and India will also see dramatic changes in lifestyle.
The concern for the United States, Britain, Europe and Canada is that oil is not just about transportation, it is also fundamental to agriculture and the food supply with regards to the creation of fertilizer. When the oil supply disappears so does agriculture and nations food supply. Then of course there is the collapse of the banking industry, millions of businesses, and so forth. It is an event that is coming one way or another beginning in 2020 extending to 2030 and finished by 2040.
So the Russian government could be concerned that having Georgia be a member of NATO is just to close for comfort.
As much as the Russian government would like to work with NATO, NATO is a real threat to Russia's energy supplies in the Caspian Basin area.
And without a doubt there will be a fight for the remaining Caspian Basin oil fields and natural gas fields beginning in 2020 and extending to 2030. By 2030 the majority of the world's oil reserves would have collapsed from depletion.
The entire world does not need to run out of oil for problems to happen, it just needs to run out enough.
And this point in worldwide oil depletion begins in 2020. Serious crisis depletion point is 2030. Worldwide depletion by 2040.

"Crews will participate in search and rescue operations in the designated areas. In the training, pilots will also search for and destroy "enemy" forces and armoured objects on unfamiliar grounds," reports ITAR-TASS.
The nature of the drills clearly suggests that Russia is prepared to invade Ukrainian territory in the event of an escalation in the crisis, just as it sent troops into Georgia in 2008.
The development arrives on the back of complaints from Ukraine's interim government that Russia has launched a "military invasion" after armed men occupied Belbek international airport in Sevastopol, Crimea, where Russia has a naval base.
However, Moscow denies the claim, asserting that 50 armed men arrived at the airport to search for Ukrainian airborne troops but that they were not Russian soldiers. Eyewitnesses said the men were members of a local ethnic Russian "self-defense" militia.
Meanwhile, RIA Novosti reports, "Deposed Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych landed at a military airport in southern Russia late on Thursday escorted by fighter jets." Yanukovych is expected to give a speech shortly in which he will proclaim that he is still the legitimate President of Ukraine.
Confirming fears that far right extremists with links to neo-nazis could seize power in Ukraine, the controversial Svoboda Party has been given control of three ministries in the interim government.
After US Senator John McCain dined with Svoboda leader Oleh Tyahnybok in December, the anti-Semitic organization has captured three posts in the new government - the deputy prime minister position, the head of agriculture and the head of environment.

He also talks about the events prior to collapse, including the confiscation of 30-50% of all pension funds and the global currency reset where the dollar could be reset at 30-50% less than the rest price of other currencies. Pastor Williams also talks about the price of gold and silver increasing and that there will be no control on gold or silver during or after collapse since gold and silver are the currency of the Elite. He also says the federal reserve note is not a store of wealth but a loss of wealth. China Financial Collapse, Bitcoin Black Eye, Ukraine-Russia War and Bernanke Memoirs Pro-western protesters have force the Ukrainian President to flee, and now there is a new president who is partial to the West. My prediction is Russia will do everything in its power both covertly and overtly to keep Ukraine under its influence. This includes outright invasion if necessary. Ukraine has a major Russian seaport. If Syria could start a world war, then Ukraine is Syria on steroids. In Ukraine, the West is playing with nuclear fire. I wonder, is Ukraine payback for blocking the U.S. intervention in Syria? Is this a way to tie up Russia so Syria can be toppled? Who knows, but the global war probabilities are increasing, not decreasing. China has turned into another global collapse wild card. Finance expert and money manager James Rickards says, ". . . investors are in for a rude awakening when they realize how much of the China story is false and how quickly it may come unraveled." Bitcoin got another black eye this week when Japan based so-called "Mt. Gox" Bitcoin exchange went under, taking $400 million worth of Bitcoins with it. I have warned that Bitcoin is risky. Its price has been all over the map in the last year and has had several hundred dollar swings in value both up and down. I do not like Bitcoin for many reasons. One of the things I hate about it is the identity of the programmers who invented it are still anonymous. This is supposed to be cutting edge currency. It's like Thomas Edison wanting to stay in hiding after inventing the light bulb. Why the secrecy?

French economy is declining and consumer spending is plummeting, car sales are imploding in France. Italy's jobless rate hits a new record high. In the U.S. more retail stores are closing. DHS license plate readers are already implemented and the DHS and other local enforcement agencies have access to it. Russia has moved troops into Crimea and are now positioning themselves for war. Libya's puppet government is now falling and the U.S. is losing control in this region. The U.S. is monitoring and worried about Iran's oil sales because they do not have control over the central bank yet. It as been reported that al-Qaeda threat is now much broader that originally thought.
