activist Aaron Swartz tapping into a school computer to download files
from JSTOR, a service that provides searchable copies of academic
journals online to MIT students. Swartz downloaded millions of articles
and made them available for everyone on the internet. After being
identified, Aaron Swartz was arrested and charged with computer and wire
fraud.

were really just buying and selling power with OUR money. I do not like
it when any of the employees loose the money they believed would be

Trade liberalization may shift economic inequality from a global to a
domestic scale. When rich countries trade with poor countries, the
low-skilled workers in the rich countries may see reduced wages as a
result of the competition, while low-skilled workers in the poor
countries may see increased wages. Trade economist Paul Krugman
estimates that trade liberalisation has had a measurable effect on the
rising inequality in the United States. He attributes this trend to
increased trade with poor countries and the fragmentation of the means
of production, resulting in low skilled jobs becoming more tradeable.
However, he concedes that the effect of trade on inequality in America
is minor when compared to other causes, such as technological
innovation, a view shared by other experts. Lawrence Katz estimates that
trade has only accounted for 5-15% of rising income inequality. Robert
Lawrence argues that technological innovation and automation has meant
that low-skilled jobs have been replaced by machine labor in wealthier
nations, and that wealthier countries no longer have significant numbers
of low-skilled manufacturing workers that could be affected by
competition from poor countries.

CIA Operative Robert Baer on Dealing with the New Iranian Superpower and the Middle East (2009)
Baer has publicly acknowledged that he worked field assignments in
Madras and New Delhi, India, Beirut, Lebanon, Dushanbe, Tajikistan,
Morocco, and Salah al-Din in Iraqi Kurdistan during his twenty-one years
with the CIA. During the mid-1990s, Baer was sent to Iraq with the
mission of organizing opposition to Iraqi president Saddam Hussein but
was recalled and investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for

A bubble is a bubble. The dotcom or the real estate bubble, there is a bubble in bitcoin. I think the reason people are buying bitcoins is because the think they are going to make money. They think the price is going to go up. It will keep going up until it implodes. And a lot of people are going to lose a lot of money in bitcoins. A small amount of people will make a lot of money but it will be paid for by a much greater amount of people who lose because they come at the end of the pyramid scheme. Whether we are at the end now, or whether it is going to keep going higher for months or years, I do not know.
