 The Pacific War, sometimes called the Asia-Pacific War, was the theatre of World War II that was fought in the Pacific and East Asia. It was fought over a vast area that included the Pacific Ocean and islands, the South West Pacific, South-East Asia, and in China (including the 1945 Soviet–Japanese conflict).

It is generally considered that the Pacific War began on 7/8 December 1941, on which date Japan invaded Thailand and attacked the British possessions of Malaya, Singapore, and Hong Kong as well as the United States military bases in Hawaii and the Philippines. Some historians contend that the conflict in Asia can be dated back to 7 July 1937 with the beginning of the Second Sino-Japanese War between the Empire of Japan and the Republic of China, or possibly 19 September 1931, beginning with the Japanese invasion of Manchuria. However, it is more widely accepted that the Pacific War itself started in early December 1941, with the Sino-Japanese War then becoming part of it as a theater of the greater World War II.

The Pacific War saw the Allied powers pitted against the Empire of Japan, the latter briefly aided by Thailand and to a much lesser extent by its Axis allies, Germany and Italy. The war culminated in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and other large aerial bomb attacks by the United States Army Air Forces, accompanied by the Soviet invasion of Manchuria on 8 August 1945, resulting in the Japanese announcement of intent to surrender on 15 August 1945. The formal and official surrender of Japan took place aboard the battleship USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay on 2 September 1945. Following its defeat, Japan's Shinto Emperor stepped down as the divine leader through the Shinto Directive, because the Allied Powers believed this was the major political cause of Japan's military aggression and deconstruction process soon took place to install a new liberal-democratic constitution to the Japanese public as the current Constitution of Japan.

By 1937, Japan controlled Manchuria and was ready to move deeper into China. The Marco Polo Bridge Incident on 7 July 1937 provoked full-scale war between China and Japan. The Nationalist and Communist Chinese suspended their civil war to form a nominal alliance against Japan, and the Soviet Union quickly lent support by providing large amount of materiel to Chinese troops. The Japanese achieved major military victories in Shanghai, Nanjing, and Wuhan, but world opinion—in particular in the United States—condemned Japan, especially after Panay Incident.

In 1939, Japanese forces tried to push into the Soviet Far East from Manchuria. They were soundly defeated in the Battle of Khalkhin Gol by a mixed Soviet and Mongolian force led by Georgy Zhukov. This stopped Japanese expansion to the north, and Soviet aid to China ended as a result of the signing of the Soviet–Japanese Neutrality Pact at the beginning of its war against Nazi Germany.[37]

In September 1940, Japan decided to cut China's only land line to the outside world by seizing Indochina, which was controlled at the time by Vichy France. Japanese forces broke their agreement with the Vichy administration and fighting broke out, ending in a Japanese victory. On 27 September Japan signed a military alliance with Germany and Italy, becoming one of the three Axis Powers. In practice, there was little coordination between Japan and Germany until 1944, by which time the U.S. was deciphering their secret diplomatic correspondence.[38]

The war entered a new phase with the unprecedented defeat of the Japanese at Battle of Suixian-Zaoyang and 1st Battle of Changsha. After these victories, Chinese nationalist forces launched a large-scale counter-offensive in early 1940; however, due to its low military-industrial capacity, it was repulsed by Japanese army in late March 1940.[39] In August of 1940, Chinese communists launched an offensive in Central China; in retaliation, Japan instituted the "Three Alls Policy" ("Kill all, Burn all, Loot all") in occupied areas to reduce human and material resources for the communists.[40] By 1941 the conflict had become a stalemate. Although Japan had occupied much of northern, central, and coastal China, the Nationalist Government had retreated to the interior with a provisional capital set up at Chungking while the Chinese communists remained in control of base areas in Shaanxi. In addition, Japanese control of northern and central China was somewhat tenuous, in that Japan was usually able to control railroads and the major cities ("points and lines"), but did not have a major military or administrative presence in the vast Chinese countryside. The Japanese found its aggression against the retreating and regrouping Chinese army was stalled by the mountainous terrain in southwestern China while the Communists organised widespread guerrilla and saboteur activities in northern and eastern China behind the Japanese front line.

Would recommend both of Jim's books. He clearly understands our debt based monetary system and also appreciates Austrian economics. One issue I would take issue with is the "wrong models" of the Fed. The Fed has the right models if their intentions are to deceive and misdirect. If the name of the Fed was changed to the Bank of Rothschild, Morgan and Rockefeller the true nefarious nature of central banking would be exposed. I am sure Jim knows this but is simply being polite and diplomatic.

 Author Phil Siracusa shared his chilling first-person account of experiencing a demonic haunting that surrounds him wherever he goes - known as the 'Horsefly case.' He traced his tale back to a childhood incident where an explosion caused him to have a near-death experience which transported him to both heaven and then hell. According to Siracusa, it was this trip to hell which allowed for demonic entities to attach themselves to him. Over time, his mind began filling with evil thoughts and he experienced night tremors as well as visitations from shadow beings. Siracusa turned to the Ouija Board and dark rituals in an attempt to decipher what was happening to him. Unfortunately, these methods only strengthened the hold that the demonic entities had over him and they followed him throughout his life as he moved from location to location.

In recent years, Siracusa's latest home has become seemingly infested with demonic entities which ultimately led him to enlist the help of paranormal investigators to help study and document his story. Psychic medium Karissa Fleck, who actually lived in Siracusa's home for four months, joined the program in the second hour to discuss her unique investigation into the case. She recalled how the appearance of shadow people and the ominous sound of pacing outside of doors were a daily occurrence inside the house. On rare occasions, Fleck said, she'd wake up covered with bite marks, bruises, and hoof prints all over her body. Additionally, she reported, family members would suddenly begin speaking in Latin while sporting solid black eyes. The presence became so menacing, she revealed, that "there were many times where I felt, personally, like my life might be in danger when I was living there."

Despite attempts to bring in a variety of spiritual practitioners to cleanse Siracusa and his home of the demonic spirits which had attached themselves to him, he lamented that each endeavor only seemed to increase the evil activity. As such, he has decided to cease these efforts to eradicate the entities in favor of a different strategy, which sees Siracusa recruiting various paranormal investigators to learn as much as possible about the circumstances of his case. "I believe, strongly, that if you could put the puzzle together," he mused, "you will have more ammunition for how to remove dark entities." Siracusa stressed that this tactic may prove to be difficult since dark entities are always observing their victims and know what they're next move will be, but he expressed hope that a solution will be deciphered and "I will be the first person to tell the world: this is how it was done."

Fat processing, he noted, is a problem that can particularly affect women. He recommends using fat dissolving nutrients such as probiotics, as well as digestive enzymes, bile salts, and lecithin granules. Regarding diets, Fuchs favors the CRON-diet, which stands for Caloric Restriction with Optimal Nutrition. By getting on a supplement program, people can eat less but still get needed nutrients without the calories, he remarked.

Regarding Parkinson's, he suggested that it's caused by an inflammatory condition, brought about by damaged cells. Homeless Vets Crisis getting worse

Homeless Veterans Across America: 4000 Sleeping On NYC Streets, This situation is heart breaking. No one ever fully overcomes PTSD. The best those with it can do is practice tools learned through counseling to check themselves, and the learning process is ongoing. In war, there is no such thing as collateral damage. In war, everyone is a victim. In war, the perpetrators on high always fail to care for those they use as fodder to serve their purposes and whose families they destroy. The best those who suffer can do is learn to accommodate what they cannot change and to change for the best without doing harm whatever they can. "Normal" becomes unique to each individual. Inside, one is always alone. Outside, one must learn how to fake it.

The city's police chief this week said that as many as 4,000 people are now sleeping rough in the city, in a crisis which even the city's ultra-liberal mayor has finally acknowledged after months of denials.
Police officers have identified 80 separate homeless encampments in the city, 20 of which are so entrenched that they have their own furniture, while its former mayor Rudolph Giuliani has spoken scathingly of how his successor is failing to keep order.
