James Anthony Traficant, Jr., was a prominent and controversial Ohio politician in the late Twentieth Century.




Traficant was born on May 8, 1941, in Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1963, and he also earned Master's degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and Youngstown State University.


In 1984, Traficant won a seat in the United States House of Representatives, representing the 17th Ohio District. He won reelection in eight subsequent elections, serving in the House of Representatives from 1985 to 2002. As a representative, Traficant became known for his support of working-class issues. Traficant routinely crossed party lines, voting with the Republican Party to the dismay of the Democratic Party, always voting for what he deemed best for the country.


In 2002 a court convicted Trafficant of a number of charges and sentenced him to 8 years in prison. He was released on Sep 2, 2009. Traficant maintains that he was framed and persecuted by the federal government for telling the truth. Millions of dollars and over 250 federal agents were used in the investigation and prosecution of Traficant.

Despite the massive security lock down surrounding the Grove Hotel, site of Bilderberg 2013, Alex Jones sensationally infiltrated the grounds of the luxury elite compound via a barge using a public access canal.

Jones was able to get closer than the massive half mile security cordon surrounding the site as he climbed atop the boat to bullhorn Bilderberg members inside the hotel while saluting protesters gathered outside.

Soon after the barge began sailing towards the Grove, it was accompanied by a police boat along with several other officers and G4S security guards.
Police only allowed the boat to complete half of its journey and it was not allowed to turn back and pass by the Grove for a second time, despite numerous tour boats having full access to the entire length of the canal.
Residents living close to the Grove Hotel will have to show their passport to police officers before they can get to their homes during the upcoming Bilderberg Group meeting.

The controversial meeting will see around 150 politicians, academics, business leaders and royals descend on the Watford hotel for a secret three-day conference from June 6 to June 9.

"I think it's totally outrageous and it is infringing my civil liberties," said Kevin Butcher, a Grove Mill Lane resident.




"We have never previously been asked for photo ID during any event at The Grove. We have no idea what is happening with visitors and whether they will be allowed in.

The only authority for a federal tax is the 16th Amendment, so one could argue that “quantitative easing” is a violation of civil rights because the power to print currency in unlimited amounts was never granted to the federal government. The constitution authorized only gold and silver as payment.

The point is, the federal reserve could be sued for civil and constitutional rights violations by anyone whose savings are diminished by the printing of paper currency. Few lawyers would want to take that case to federal court, but the legal theory supporting a claim seems plausible.

President Obama on Friday defended a pair of recently disclosed surveillance programs as striking the "right balance" between national security and civil liberties following a speech Friday in California.

"You can't have 100 percent security and also have 100 percent privacy and zero inconvenience. We're going to have to make some choices as a government," Obama said.

"You can complain about Big Brother and how this is a potential program run amok, but when you actually look at the details, I think we've struck the right balance."

The administration acknowledged Thursday that the National Security Agency (NSA) had monitored domestic telephone data and international Internet traffic from tech companies like Google, Microsoft and Facebook.

Obama stressed that every member of Congress had been briefed on the phone monitoring program and that the relevant Intelligence committees were aware of PRISM — the code name of the NSA's secret program to monitor Internet traffic. He also noted that federal judges had to sign off on data-gathering requests.

"If people can't trust not only the executive branch but also don't trust Congress and don't trust federal judges to make sure we're abiding by the Constitution, then we're going to have some problems here," Obama said.

Critics of the program have said that the courts and Congress have had little real oversight of the programs.

Congressional leaders say confidentiality restrictions have limited their ability to publicly voice their concerns, and the administration has not provided court rulings under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) for their review. They also say the administration has aggressively over-interpreted what is authorized to do under the law.

Civil liberties groups have also dismissed the administration's assurances that each surveillance program undergoes FISA judicial review, blasting the court as a rubber stamp. In a letter sent earlier this year to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Attorney General Eric Holder said the court approved 1,788 of 1,789 applications for electronic surveillance; the government withdrew the one remaining petition.

The president went on to say that the White House believed the programs played an important role in preventing terror attacks.

"My assessment and my team's assent was they help us prevent terrorist attacks, and the modest encroachments on privacy that are involved ... on net, it was worth us doing. Some other folks may have a different assessment of that," he said.

The National Security Agency has obtained direct access to the systems of Google, Facebook, Apple and other US internet giants, according to a top secret document obtained by the Guardian.

Judge Andrew Napolitano called the situation "a fishing expedition on the grandest scale we've ever seen in American history." The government is looking for a select group of people, and instead of obeying the Constitution and simply getting a search warrant for their phones, the judge says, "They got a search warrant for a 113 million phones!"

"Who would trust them after this? The Constitution doesn't trust them!" Napolitano told Shepard Smith.

http://www.democracynow.org - We speak with Guardian columnist Glenn Greenwald, who broke the story Thursday that the National Security Agency has obtained access the central servers of nine major internet companies -- including Google, Microsoft, Apple, Yahoo and Facebook. The Guardian and the Washington Post revealed the top secret program, code-named PRISM, after they obtained several slides from a 41-page training presentation for senior intelligence analysts. It explains how PRISM allows them to access emails, documents, audio and video chats, photographs, documents and connection logs that allow them to track a person or trace their connections to others. One slide lists the companies by name and the date when each provider began participating over the past six years. "Hundreds of millions of Americans, and hundreds of millions -- in fact billions of people around the world -- essentially rely on the internet exclusively to communicate with one another," Greenwald says. "Very few people use landline phones for much of anything. So when you talk about things like online chat, and social media messages, and emails, what you're really talking about is the full extent of human communication." This comes after Greenwald revealed Wednesday in another story that the NSA has been collecting the phone records of millions of Verizon customers. "They want to make sure that every single time human beings interact with one another ... that they can watch it, and they can store it, and they can access it at any time."

BREAKING: Chaos at Santa Monica Mass Shooting, Burning when Heavy Armed Man Opens Fire

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KABC) -- Santa Monica College was placed on lockdown Friday due to an active shooter on campus, confirmed Los Angeles sheriff's officials.

The shooting was reported at the school campus shortly after noon. It was unclear how many shots were fired or exactly where but witnesses reported hearing shots in the school's library.

Santa Monica College student Sam Luster was preparing for a presentation in the school's library when he heard bullets.

"We didn't know what was happening until all the students at the entrance of the library started running down towards the bottom of the library," Luster said. He then took cover under a desk before heading towards the exit. Near the exit, Luster says he heard multiple gun shots.

Santa Monica College student Chad Lazzari also heard what he says sounded like a gun shot and then repetitive shots. Lazzari says several hundred people panicked and tried to exit the building following the gun shots.

"One of the doors wasn't opening so alot of kids were panicking against the locked door and funneled around to the other side," said Lazzari.

Lazzari also said he saw a car with its windows shattered parked in the middle of the campus notably blasted with bullet holes.

Sheriff's officials have confirmed multiple victims.

A second shooting, believed to be related, was reported a few blocks east of the school's campus on 21st Street. An eyewitness told ABC7 cameraman Shawn McCarthy that a man dressed in black got out of a vehicle at a nearby intersection and started shooting indiscriminately.

Three victims were reportedly shot and found in a vehicle about a block and a half away from the school. Officials transported the victims to the UCLA Reagan Medical Center.

Authorities say one gunman has been taken into custody. His condition remains unknown. Officials say there's a possibility that a second additional suspect remains outstanding.

The investigation is ongoing.

President Barack Obama was en route to Santa Monica to attend a Democratic National Committee fundraising event. The Secret Service was notified but a spokesman for the Secret Service, Edwin Donovan, says the shooting is not impacting Obama's visit.

"We are aware of the incident and it is not impacting the visit," Donovan said. "It's a local police matter at this point."

Former CIA Director David Petraeus is in attendance at the 2013 Bilderberg Group conference to help construct the "big data" spy grid, which is set to become the new frontier of clandestine statecraft as Internet connectivity becomes ubiquitous.

Bilderberg's official agenda for 2013 lists one of the areas of discussion as, "How big data is changing almost everything," a reference to how the "Internet of things" along with the ubiquitous growth of social media is transforming the world of surveillance and the ability to foresee and manipulate future events.

Bilderberg's effort to push the "big data" agenda ties in with the secretive organization's close relationship with Google, which as we documentedis now merging with and taking over from Bilderberg in many aspects.

The discussion about "big data" is also likely to cover how social media can be used to launch more faux revolutions and social movements as it was in Egypt, which was aided in no small part by Google.

It's ironic that Petraeus is helping bolster the very same surveillance system that brought him down last year when details emerged of his extra-marital affair.

For many of the protesters, however, the real draw comes tomorrow when David Icke, the self-styled global saviour, arrives to address the crowd at what has been dubbed the Bilderberg Fringe Festival. Police were warned to expect up to 10,000 attendees.

The mind set of the people using and producing these killing machines is evident in the names they use for the different Drone models: Predator, Hunter, Reaper, Warrior, Switchblade, Shadow, Dragon Eye, Raven, Outrider, Hawk, Fire Bolt, Pegasus, Dominator, Phantom Eye, Phantom Ray, Scan Eagle. These shocking names prove what aggressors these dangerous people are in Government, who are supposed to be the peaceful stewards of our societies and bringers of a better world. These Drone names are something you might expect from the consciousness of gangs of thugs not the supposedly intelligent, peacekeepers of the world. Such names suggest the opposite of people of peace and good will, but rather of terrorists and tyrants of the highest degree.

The story becomes even more insane as we see the Drone operators sat comfortably, dressed in military uniform in front of a screen with levers and kill buttons, thousands of miles away from the places where they terrify and murder their victims. The operators may hover above and watch a house for weeks, where they believe suspects may be entering, sometimes watching little children and women also coming and going unaware that a killing machine is hovering above them with a judge and jury sat at a screen watching, many thousands of miles away deciding their fate, whether they will live or die. Apparently there are also paid informants, also on the ground who sometimes stick a tiny patch on a suspects house which the Drone operators zoom in on from thousands of feet away, then incinerate the property and its inhabitants at their discretion. Surprisingly and interestingly the Drone operators are suffering post traumatic stress and depression after incinerating their fellow human beings, even though they are a cowardly 2,000 miles away, due to them having watched beautiful little children come and go for weeks with mothers and fathers before they press the button to murder them all along with the suspect who ‘just might be’ guilty, or ‘just might be’ inside.

As many millions of innocent Americans are now struggling to come to terms with these war crimes against humanity, they themselves are facing  the terrifying and daunting prospect of their own US government turning the Drones on them as they plan to unleash 30,000 Drones  into the skies above USA ‘The Land of the Free’, within the next decade, with the possibility of being murdered and incinerated without a trial, something that people would never believe possible in the great USA, ‘The Land of the Free’.

Obama Ordered Verizon to Spy on Americans

The National Security Agency is currently collecting the telephone records of millions of US customers of Verizon, one of America's largest telecoms providers, under a top secret court order issued in April.

The order, a copy of which has been obtained by the Guardian, requires Verizon on an "ongoing, daily basis" to give the NSA information on all telephone calls in its systems, both within the US and between the US and other countries.

The document shows for the first time that under the Obama administration the communication records of millions of US citizens are being collected indiscriminately and in bulk -- regardless of whether they are suspected of any wrongdoing.

"Who would trust them after this?" the judge continued, noting that the administration's defenders have claimed the NSA hasn't actually listened to anyone's calls. "The Constitution doesn't trust them."

Smith then played a clip from this morning of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) saying he is "glad" the NSA is snooping in order to protect Americans from terrorists threats, prompting the judge's response:

"The whole purpose of the Fourth Amendment is to prevent the government from doing this, to prevent it from interfering with the privacy rights of a lot of innocent people in order to find a few that may be planning something wrong. [...] Nobody wants the wrong thing to happen but the idea that we would sacrifice liberty in order to obtain safety is a canard. This is just a shortcut to make it easier for American spies to spy on Americans."
He concluded: "This is the most extraordinarily broad search warrant every issued in the history of the federal courts of the United States."

A clearly-incensed Shep Smith then spoke directly to camera: "Under this logic, the government can send to people to all of our homes, put them in a bed next to us, have them watch everything."

"The slippery slope is covered in green," the host concluded. "We're not letting this go. Not for a moment. We're not letting this go."

Good for Mr. Batten, but I doubt if we will learn more, even introducing a welcoming committee for the first time, Bilderberg is designed so THAT DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS DISCUSSED AND WE, THE PUBLIC IS PAYING FOR THIS GATHERING. It is about time that this very secretative organisation reveals their discussions, not necessarily in detail, but the headings say. But as Batten says, two politicians from diverse points of view have joined a group to promote Europe.
