When you look at the real cost of living, inflation is really pretty high now, but you haven’t seen anything yet compared to when the rest of the world does what it is now saying it is going to do. They are going to stop using the Federal Reserve Note as the international reserve currency. When they stop that, then we have no place to get rid of all these extra dollars we make up in the digital printing press. . . . When that stops, all those trillions and trillions of dollars that we have put overseas will come back to us because the people who hold them, like China for example, will say we can’t use these. Then they will use them to buy up anything they can here. They’ll buy our products . . . but they’ll also buy up our stocks and bonds and real estate. They’ll buy up our politicians or anything else that is for sale to get rid of those dollars as quickly as possible. When that happens all of these dollars will be flooding through our economy. You could say the price of a loaf of bread will be $100, and that is the kind of thing we will see and it maybe even worse. It will be just like we saw in Zimbabwe or Germany in the Weimar Republic. These things happen in history . . . and the United States is not exempt of the laws of economics. It is going to happen here.

All is not lost, according to Griffin, and it starts with something he calls “The Creed of Freedom.” Griffin is working on global solutions to this massive bad leadership problem.

Two days ago, in response to the mass killing inside the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, President Obama made a statement opposing gun ownership in the United States that is not supported by the facts: [insert “this sort of violence does not happen in other advanced countries 2:00] The facts are that on a per capita basis, the United States ranks only #6 in the world. You have a much greater chance of dying in a random shooting in Norway, Finland, Slovakia, Israel and Switzerland than in the U.S.. On top of that, these top 5 nations have some of the most restrictive gun legislation on the planet. In the U.S. there was less than one death per million people per year between 2009 and 2013 – the last year for which these statistics are available. During this 5-year period, in the so-called “advanced nations”, there was a total of 413 fatalities from mass shootings. This is approximately the number of Christians killed EVERY DAY by ISIS, in Iraq, Syria, and numerous nations in Africa. I’m still reporting from Washington. Good day.

Global Peace Index. This year’s index highlighted that escalating civil strife and the consequent refugee crisis have been among the key drivers in increasing the cost of containing global violence.

The intensity of armed conflict increased dramatically, with the number of people killed in conflicts globally rising more than 3.5 times from 49,000 in 2010 to 180,000 in 2014. The Asia-Pacific region ranked third behind Europe and North America in the Global Peace Index. However, as a region it contains the most diversity, with three countries in the top ten and a single country, North Korea, in the bottom ten of the overall rankings. The South China Sea remains a potential area for conflict, with countries involved in the dispute (China, Vietnam and the Philippines) all showing a worsening of their scores in the 2015 index. Although the likelihood of further military skirmishes in the disputed waters is high, a large-scale military engagement remains unlikely.

Russia appears intent on selling China its most advanced fighter jet by the end of the year, a move that will greatly enhance Beijing’s ability to project military power in the South China Sea.
