Rush Limbaugh: 'Total Crock' Obama Ever Wanted to Negotiate on Government Shutdown

10/7/13 - President Obama has been pretty firm on dealing with the government shutdown, but that's not to say he's entirely unwilling to negotiate. He said at FEMA headquarters on Monday he's willing to negotiate and come up with "common sense compromises" with Republicans, but not if Republicans keep up the threat of a shut-down government or a debt default if they "don't get 100 percent of their way." This set off Rush Limbaugh, who called out Obama for pushing the "total crock" that he's ever been willing to negotiate.

He played audio of Obama's remarks and sporadically shouted, "That's a crock" and "This is a total crock!"

And Limbaugh thought it was even more galling, because right after he said he would negotiate, Obama again drew a line in the sane about what he would not negotiate on. He mockingly explained, "I'll negotiate any time anywhere, I'm just not gonna negotiate when they won't let me have what I want!"

He suspected Obama saying all this means the White House knows they're losing. On one side, people have found it unbelievable that the president is not negotiating on the budget. On the other side, people are saying there's little to no point for Obama to do so now.

10/4/13 - Rush Limbaugh found further proof that "the Democrats are losing" and "we are winning" when it comes to the government shutdown in the form of the hot mic moment that caught Senators Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Rand Paul (R-KY) expressing optimism about the outcome for Republicans. "I'm telling you, I know it's hard for you to believe," Limbaugh told his listeners after playing audio of the exchange. "If you just look at the media every day it's hard to believe. You look at the media and think the Republicans are just getting hammered and hammered." But Limbaugh was evidently heartened by the comments from McConnell and Paul, predicting that rhetoric from Democrats will backfire.

"Barack Obama was elected because he was gonna end all of this," Limbaugh said of the stalemate in Washington. "No matter who was to blame for the bickering, Obama was a new kind of politician. Obama was gonna end it. Obama was gonna bring unity and comity and universal respect and get rid of all the old politics and bring on the new politics and everybody just gets along. Remember? And it's gotten worse than many people can remember it ever being, given their ages."

He did take a moment to commend whoever it was in the White House who decided to cancel Obama's trip to Asia. "If he'd gone ahead with this trip and had been seen negotiating with those guys, the ChiComs and whoever else he was gonna meet," Limbaugh said, "but refuses to sit down and talk to the Republicans who he's characterizing in very disparaging terms it would not have looked good, and the optics are what these people care about."

9/27/13 - Rush Limbaugh lamented Friday how nothing is sacred from the "leftist agenda" anymore, even the Senate prayer. Senate chaplain Barry Black made the following remarks in today's prayer that caught Limbaugh's attention. Keep us from shackling ourselves with the chains of dysfunction. Use our senators today to serve your purposes for this generation, making them ever mindful of their accountability to you. Lord, deliver us from governing by crisis, empowering us to be responsible stewards of your bounty.
Black did not invoke anyone personally, but that didn't stop Limbaugh from turning the tables to accuse President Obama and the Democrats being the real ones to blame for "governing by crisis."

He said if the U.S. really wants to get away from that, "we would get rid of the Democrat party" because "they are the ones who create crisis after crisis after crisis."

What really worries me is that corporations are buying back billions upon billions of dollars of their own stock...to what end? compare the 2001 budget with the current budget numbers. Hang on the next three to five years might get interesting.




I think the reason the Fed backed away from "tapering" this week is because the powers that be were hoping to do it behind the new war with Syria. When that got pushed back because their false flag was exposed, they needed to back away. One thing is important to understand, and it is disappointing that this writer did not point this out. THERE IS NO DEBT! The fed PRINTS money to buy our debt. If we owe them anything, give them back the same worthless paper they gave us. Money is an instrument used to represent labor. If there is no labor attached to the money(printed/created out of thin air, it is not money. If there exist an actual debt of labor, such debts are easily forgiven. They took OUR gold in 1933. WE OWE NOTHING!

Naturally, this includes Rush Limbaugh, who used a new tack to argue against Obamacare on his radio show Thursday, along the way comparing it to slavery. Limbaugh's argument hinged on a term that's popular with Democrats who want to see Obamacare become a reality: "It's the law of the land." The host wondered "what else at one time was the 'law of the land?': Slavery!"

"Slavery used to be the law of the land," Limbaugh informed his audience, noting that the Supreme Court even once upheld it. From there, he listed other things that used to be the "law of the land" but are not relics of the past:

"Defense of Marriage Act."
"The speed limit used to be 55, now it's 70."
"Immigration law."
"Guns, Second Amendment."
"Laws against marijuana."
Limbaugh wanted to know why Democrats are allowed to get rid of "bad laws" they don't like but Republicans aren't. "Is that the only way they can defend this?" Limbaugh asked. "Is that the best they've got? 'It's the law of the land'?"

9/17/13 - President Obama shocked many politicians and pundits on Monday when, after delivering brief remarks on the Washington Navy Yard shooting, he proceeded to give his planned speech on the economy, replete with Republican-bashing. Rush Limbaugh was also disturbed by Obama's "assault" on the GOP in a time of crisis, and found it beyond unbelievable that even though the media was clearly uncomfortable with it, they couldn't quite bring themselves to outright condemn it.

Limbaugh echoed a similar point made by Joe Scarborough, namely that George W. Bush would have been taken to the woodshed if he had made that kind of partisan address during a crisis. But, as Limbaugh noted, most of the media is only going so far as to call it "tone-deaf," and simply calling it a big screw-up instead of using the opportunity to understand who Obama really is.

And so the Drive-Bys [go], "No, we gotta somehow explain this and cover for Obama." Because they see everything through the prism of, "Oh, gosh is it gonna help Obama or is it gonna hurt Obama?"
He also ripped apart Jay Carney for defending the appropriateness of Obama's address, mockingly declaring that "that even in the midst of such a disaster like this, we cannot lose sight of the focus of the real important matter in Washington, and that's what a bunch of creeps the Republicans are."

He argued on his radio show Friday that thanks to the way the president has mishandled the situation completely, Americans are now finally "coming to grips with Obama's incompetence on things," catching up with the rest of the world for the first time.

Limbaugh found it beyond absurd how the "Obama regime people are vetting the moderate rebels," declaring that "there are no moderators in the Middle East," certainly in the rebel groups. He mocked the GOP for potentially halting any vote if they don't have a majority behind Obama, asking "You think the Democrats would withhold this so as not to offend Bush?"

Limbaugh then got at the heart of the matter, addressing exactly what a rejection of Syrian strikes would mean for Obama.

"Folks, the people of this country are lagging behind what the rest of the world thinks of Obama, I'm here to tell you... The American people are sort of a lagging indicator in coming to grips with Obama's incompetence on things."
He added, "It continues to be embarrassing." Limbaugh thought Thursday that Obama's "stability" was at risk, going so far as to suggest the president is acting "psychopathic."

August 9, 2013 - On his radio show Friday, Rush Limbaugh weighed in on Oprah Winfrey's recent brush with discrimination, wondering if maybe the clerk who turned away one of the richest women in the world was not being "racist" but instead just thought the media mogul was too "fat" to be shopping in her store. Much as President Obama recently revealed how he has experienced racism in the form of women "clutching their purses" when he stepped into an elevator, Winfrey this week told Entertainment Tonight a story about how she believes she was discriminated against in a Switzerland shop. She said a clerk refused to show her a handbag because, suggesting Winfrey would "not be able to afford" the $38,000 price tag. "I said, 'OK, thank you so much, you're probably right, I can't afford it' and walked out of the store. Now why did she do that?" Winfrey wondered.

After retelling the story to his radio listeners, Limbaugh said she's looking at it all wrong. "If I were Oprah, I'd be so happy I could go someplace and not be recognized," he said, adding, "we've all been insulted by retail people." Limbaugh found it hard to believe that race played any factor in the incident, saying, "Maybe it's because The Oprah's fat!"

"Maybe the judgement that The Oprah couldn't afford a $38,000 bag had nothing to do with her race, because aren't the Swiss enlightened in that regard?" Limbaugh asked. "There isn't any racism in Europe, right?"

Continuing down the path regarding Winfrey's weight, Limbaugh asked, "Don't most people think that the fat and the obese are poor and stupid? Where do you see fat people? You see them at places where things don't cost very much."

7/29/13 - Rush Limbaugh began his radio show Monday morning by addressing the news that Cumulus Media, the second-biggest radio broadcaster in the country, plans to drop his show from its stations by the end of the year. Limbaugh assured his readers that "nothing is going to change" in terms of their ability to hear him every morning. "There was another POLITICO story that ran last night on this program," Limbaugh began, referring to Dylan Byers' report. "Someday, I am looking forward to detailing all of this for you," Limbaugh continued, but for now he said he "must use proper business restraint."

"Suffice it to say, nothing is going to happen that you will notice," he reported. "Nothing is going to change. You will be able to get this radio program on as many, if not more radio stations down the road than it is on now."

Much in the same way that Mediaite's Noah Rothman laid out this morning why the host "is not going anywhere," Limbaugh said this story amounts to nothing more than a "public business negotiation."

"I just want to assure you," Limbaugh concluded, "everything's cool."

Notably, Limbaugh couched his language with enough loopholes so that if that report that Cumulus is dropping his show turns out to be true, he could still be right that "you will be able to get this radio program" on as many stations as you can now. As for whether listeners will "notice" the change, if other stations end up picking up his show, listeners will still be able to hear it, but they may have to program a new station on their radio.

In the first place, "Washington has taken its eye off the ball, and I'm here to say this needs to stop." Now, I mentioned, I told you I heard that bite, I heard him say it live. He is Washington! This is the Limbaugh Theorem. He's articulating it himself. It's coming out of his own mouth. He's out there in Illinois claiming Washington hasn't been paying enough attention to the economy. They've been looking at the IRS. They've been looking at Benghazi. They have been looking into Obamacare, and they haven't been working on the economy, and (imitation) "I'm here in Illinois to make sure that they refocus in Washington," as though he has had nothing to do with it.
