Question: "Will we eventually have to go back in, with boots on the
ground, to the countries - or failed states - in the Middle East,
Afghanistan and elsewhere, whose problems we may not have created
entirely but have certainly contributed to, in order to avert the
existential threat we face in the West and also to deliver safe,
civilized, worthwhile lives to the people living in these countries? In
short - and I know this is an Oxymoron - should we be planning to impose
freedom and civilization on these people for their own good and for our
security in the long term?"
