West coast & Europe sent into Internet Dark Ages from DDOS attacks

 According to Gizmodo there were several attacks so far with reports of huge amounts of websites unreachable to many on the West Coast and Europe as well. The attacks may still be ongoing. When exactly will the issues be corrected is not yet clear.
