Canadian Police Kill Man After 'Potential Terror Threat' Declared, Bomb Explodes









A "potential" terrorist threat on Canadian soil has been thwarted, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced Wednesday night. The suspected ISIS sympathizer was killed during a "dramatic police takedown" in a home in the town of Strathroy, Ontario, located about 140 miles west of Toronto, CTV News reported. The individual, identified by CTV News as Aaron Driver, 23, was known to Canadian intelligence and police officials for his support of the terror group. Police believe Driver was acting alone in the alleged plot, according to the Canadian broadcaster.
