Terrorism Alert -- France: Eiffel Tower evacuated by police

The Eiffel Tower was evacuated by French police in Paris on Friday evening, according to reports on social media. The iconic landmark was cordoned off while police and military forces searched the area, with reports of a "suspicious package" being investigated. The exact cause of the evacuation is unknown however and crowds of tourists at the site appeared to remain calm.
