Greece: Scuffles break out between austerity victims at EU food bank








Tension arose at Pavilion 16 of the international exhibition & congress centre TIF HELEXPO centre in Thessaloniki, after scuffles broke out between people collecting EU food aid at the site, Wednesday. People were queuing in order to receive food supplies, including fruit, vegetables, olive oil, chicken, cheese and basic material items as detergents. Organised by the EU under the title "The Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD), scuffles broke out at the site due to the large number of people demanding food.
