BREAKING: ACTIVE SHOOTER CONFIRMED AT WALMART IN AMARILLO TEXAS FBI AND SWAT ON THE SCENE HOSTAGES

An active shooter situation has just been reported at a Walmart in Amarillo Texas. The city's Twitter account has warned civilians to avoid the area. A Potter County Sheriff's Office dispatch confirmed it is a hostage situation. Early reports indicate there have been injuries. As of this report, no fatalities have been confirmed. The Walmart is located on I 27 and Georgia. Amarillo Police have confirmed an active shooter situation. Police are asking the public to stay away from the area so officers can focus on the scene instead of traffic. Amarillo Police Department are evacuating people out of the West side of the building.
