WARNING! This past weekend, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro issued a 60-day state of emergency to be enforced in Venezuela. This move has been made in an effort to warn against "international and national threats against our fatherland" (See The Atlantic Below For More!) This isn't the first Time that Venezuela has declared a state of emergency — in fact, the Nation as a whole was even under martial law back in August 2015: in order to fight Colombian "smugglers." But Venezuela is not the ONLY Place that has declared a state of emergency recently. In fact, we've also been seeing "states of emergency" nationwide in Nations such as France and Palau.
