Because on Friday, April 22, 2016, world leaders from up to 155 countries will gather at the U.N. headquarters in New York to sign the Paris Agreement. Such an agreement will focus on the “combating” of climate change worldwide, specifically focusing on developing countries (When We Know Better!!!!!!!). According to the U.N., “this would be a landmark in international law, as the number of signatories of the Paris Agreement would then surpass the previous record of 119 signatures for an opening day signing for an international agreement, set by the Law of the Sea in Montego Bay in 1982” (See U.N. What could be the bigger implications, and is there a Bigger Agenda being fulfilled?
