Russian President Vladimir Putin mocked the Obama administration’s rejection of high-level talks to coordinate military action in -torn, amid reports that Cuba may join in coming to the aid of embattled Syrian President Bashar Assad, Moscow’s top ally in the region.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the Russian offer to send a high-level team headed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to Washington was a sign of desperation for Mr. Putin’s air campaign in support of Mr. Assad, but Mr. Putin said the rejection represented the deeply muddled thinking in the U.S. and other parts of the West about the need to act decisively against fighting the Syrian leader. The announcement comes after Russian authorities revealed the blood-thirsty were behind an attempted in Siberia last year.

By telling the truth at a time of universal deceit, Putin committed a revolutionary act. Referring to the slaughter, destruction, and chaos that Washington has brought to the Middle East, North Africa, and Ukraine, and the extreme jihadist forces that have been unleashed, Putin asked Washington: “Do you realize what you have done?”

Putin’s question reminds me of the question Joseph Welch asked witch-hunting Senator Joseph McCarthy: “Have you no sense of decency?” Welch’s question is attributed with initiating the decline of McCarthy’s career. Russian Parliament member Yevgeny Fedorov claims that Russian oligarchs are in negotiations with top American corporations and the White House to foment an astroturf revolution that will lead to the ouster of President Vladimir Putin and the collapse of the Russian Federation within two years.

“They are conducting a negotiation process with the Russian elites for the extradition of Putin,” said Fedorov, noting that the same process was undertaken before the coup in Kiev which ousted Viktor Yanukovyc. He identified John F. Tefft, the United States Ambassador to Russia, as being the figurehead behind this conspiracy. “After August, through the winter, I think, by the drop of living standards, they will be able to bring out several hundred thousand people onto the streets….simply because, with the help of the government, they will severely crash people’s living standards, this will be especially felt after winter,” said Fedorov, adding that Spring 2016 could be the time period in which the coup is initiated.
