ALERT -- California Burying Nuclear Waste at the Beach?


The California Coastal Commission has approved a plan to bury nuclear waste in concrete bunkers within 125 feet of a seawall and the beach at the San Onofre nuclear power plant. The site permit would last until October 2035, in time for officials to determine another storage location.
