 Vladimir Putin said the crisis was QUOTE absolutely expected. He noted that Russia had warned earlier that there would be a crisis if the west continued its mistakes in the region. The Russian president called European leaders shortsighted, accusing them of blindly following U-S orders. Putin said the US media is hypocritical in its coverage of the suffering of asylum-seekers arriving in Europe.
