  If it does not happen today then you need to prepare for tomorrow. and if not tomorrow then the next day.  I do not necessarily think it is going to be this year i think 2018 will be around the time of rapture but i think the treaty will be signed this year and the temple desecrated in 3 1/2 years and that's based on the 70 year generation from the building of Israel in 48, that ends on 2018 and the seven week (49 year) countdown from the command to restore Jerusalem ends this September.  Danial said the temple would be desecrated half way through the treaty witch is 3 1/2 years (7 year treaty) and that the treaty would be signed 49 years from restoration of Jerusalem.  It matches up good for both prophecies if the treaty is this year
