I agree with Jay Taylor, ultimately the problem lies in the hearts & minds of the American people. He's probably correct, if Nixon didn't take us off the gold standard, we would have kicked him out of office for not giving us all the things we wanted, even if they were unaffordable. More importantly, we've been debasing not only our money, but our morals. Thus, one way or the other, America is bound to collapse on its present non-sustainable course. Even with our imminent collapse so glaring, people stick their head in the sand, ignore the problems & keep demanding more "free" stuff promised by the politicians they elect. The Constitution is dead, America is broke & America lost its morals & work ethic. It's no coincidence this is happening at the same time America is generally turning it's back on the Bible. God is not mocked... BUT, there's still this promise: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14. Did Israel listen? Will America listen?
