and return to the lira. The figure was 26 percent a year ago. Many
Italians believe that the EU’s single currency is the chief cause of
Italy's economic woes. 45 percent of the respondents also said that
they'd like to leave the country and live abroad. Italy has been gripped
with recession since 2011. The country has been the slowest growing
economy in the eurozone over the past decade.
