France has raised its alert status for Paris to the highest level after
gunmen opened fire at the offices of the French weekly satirical
magazine, Charlie Hebdo today. The shooting left at least 12 killed and
10 injured. The national security alert system was set to “attack alert”
following the killings in central Paris, officials said.
