Athens gripped by Riots

Clashes between police and protesters brought Athens to a standstill on Saturday night, as thousands commemorated the sixth anniversary since the police killing of teenager Alexandros Grigoropoulos. Protesters could be seen setting various objects including cars and ATMs on fire while throwing Molotov cocktails and other objects at police, with police in anti-riot armour firing tear gas at the demonstrators.
