Spanish police clash with protesters, beat them with batons
Clashes broke out Saturday in the Spanish city of Burgos, as protesters railed against the renovation and refurbishment of the Plaza de Toros de Burgos. Police hit protesters with batons, as demonstrators smashed shop windows and ATMs while overturning rubbish bins , In France, authorities have used pepper spray and batons to disperse protesters rallying against police brutality. The demonstrators were furious over the death of a young man who was killed by a stun grenade during an environmental protest at the end of October.
