A Grand jury decision not to indict a white police officer in the death of an unarmed black 18-year-old Michael Brown has filled Ferguson streets with chaos. So far over 80 arrests have been made, with looting and property damage taking place, while protests have quickly spread to major US cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington. In this edition of the debate, we’ll break this case down, especially the significance of US President Barak Obama’s conclusion that racial discrimination still exists in the US. Was this a case of racial discrimination, police favoritism, or both? And is this the beginning of major protests to last across the US?
