Orange County Imam Muzammil Saddiqi Criticizes ISIS: Its Practices Contradict Islam
In a Friday sermon delivered in Orange Country, California, Dr. Muzammil Saddiqi, a prominent Islamic scholar and Imam of the Islamic Society of Orange County, denounced ISIS, saying that its practices were un-Islamic. It is forbidden in Islam to ignore the reality of contemporary times, to kill the innocent, to deny women and children their rights, and to mistreat Christians and Yazidis, he said. The sermon was posted on the Internet on September 26.
