Yes, we live in a police state in the USA & it's so sad we have allowed ourselves to fall to this level.  We should have known better!  And, yes, things will change because this out-of-control welfare/warfare state is non-sustainable, but it looks like we won't change until the system collapses upon itself due to the very fact of it being non-sustainable!  Present day Americans mostly have not learned from history, too many look at only very selfish short term gains & ignore what has proven successful in the long term (like self reliance, entrepreneurship, liberty & free market, level playing field capitalism).
