Ahmad, at-Tirmidhi and Nu'aym ibn Hammad narrated from Abu Hurayrah that he said: "The Messenger of Allah [sallallahu 'alayhi wa-sallam] said: "Black banners will come out of Khurasan (modern day Afghanistan), and nothing will stop them, until they are raised in Bayt al-Maqdis (modern day Jerusalem)."
Seems to me that this has begun and the flags have spread...

Good point since these black flags first started to appear in Afghanistan and are now found throughout the Middle East and Arab world.
