Jobless Americans lose Emergency Benefits

More than a million jobless Americans are to stop receiving emergency benefit checks as of Saturday.They amount to almost a third of those who have been unemployed for more than six months and they have the least likely prospects of being hired.Republicans have opposed providing the necessary $25bn to extend the emergency programme.Al Jazeera's Tom Ackerman reports from Washington DC.
