Modern Slavery - Trafficking in Human Beings

Slavery was practiced for millennia, from Ancient times to transatlantic slave trade and slavery within the colonies. In 18th century, the strong abolitionist movement started which called for the abolition of slavery. In 19th century, slavery was abolished in Europe. This included the British Empire, where the Slavery Abolition Act was enacted in 1833. In 20th century, an international treaty called The Slavery Convention 1926 was created, prohibiting the practice of slavery. In 1948 the first international human rights instrument- the Universal Declaration of Human Rights- was adopted. It states that ‘All human beings are born equal in dignity and rights and it prohibits slavery in all its forms’. Although slavery is legally prohibited, it continues in 21st century. Trafficking in human beings or THB is a form of modern slavery. It is a crime, which also has a strong human rights dimension. In short, it involves the recruitment of the victim and their transportation to another state or within the same state for the purposes of exploitation. THB is defined in the 2003 Protocol to the UN Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children. Trafficking involves three elements. The Act, The Means and The Purpose. THB is a process that involves several stages and several perpetrators.

BRINK OF NUCLEAR WW3 - U.S. Commander Refused To Fire Nukes At Russia (SkyKing Encrypted Message)

 
A new report circulating in the Kremlin today prepared by the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) for the Ministry of Defense (MoD) states that President Barack Obama’s nuclear war communication commander has been arrested and relieved of her command after failing to transmit launch codes authorizing an atomic weapons first-strike attack upon the Federation in coordination with a similar “surprise” attack planned by the United Kingdom. In the U.S. military's strategic nuclear weapon command and control system, an Emergency Action Message (EAM) is a preformatted message that directs nuclear-capable forces[1] to execute specific Major Attack Options (MAOs) or Limited Attack Options (LAOs) in a nuclear war. Individual countries or specific regions may be included or withheld in the EAM, as specified in the Single Integrated Operational Plan (SIOP).

On Monday, 16 March, this report states, Captain Cole received from the Pentagon a launch order authorizing a “limited” nuclear strike against the Federation, but which failed due to a critical Permissive Action Link (PAL) failure thus causing her to abort this planned attack.

For her failure to communicate the launch authorization to US nuclear forces, this report continues, Captain Cole was arrested on Tuesday, 17 March, relieved of her command and then taken by armed guard to US Naval Air Station (NAS) Miramar in San Diego (California) where she remains incommunicado.

The SVR in their report on Captain Cole’s refusal to start World War III further states that her actions mirrors those of Soviet Naval Captain Vasili Arkhipov, who during the Cuban Missile Crisis, in 1962, also refused to obey orders to launch nuclear weapons against the United States.

Upon Captain Cole being arrested, a MoD appendix to this SVR report says, President Putin ordered the Federations strategic nuclear bomber forces to their “fail-safe” locations in the Arctic (the fastest air route to the US from Russia), an expansion of the Northern Fleet’s combat operations into the Norwegian Sea, and continued combat air operations against NATO forces on the northern border.

Russia Warns “State Of War” Exists As UK Nukes Prepare First Strike, President Putin and the MoD had been made aware of the planned nuclear attack against the Federation weeks ago thus allowing the Federation to move its own nuclear forces to the NATO border.

While the west huffs and puffs, and threatens to unleash even more “costs” on Russia in the form of additional sanctions which will assure that Europe’s latest deflationary recession is even more acute, an “isolated” Russia is looking to outside, and to the east, and as part of its most recent de-dollarization initiative, the Moscow Exchange announced it has started trading Chinese Renminbi-Russian Ruble currency futures.

Renowned hacker Guccifer, who accessed the private emails of numerous top military, political and intelligence leaders, told the New York Times that a city in Pennsylvania is the target of a nuke attack in 2015. Guccifer also revealed that he is sitting on an archive of hacked emails that have not been publicly released.

U.S. DOLLAR COLLAPSE - Federal Reserve Speech Points Towards U.S. Economic Catastrophe

 U.S. Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen testified before Congress on Tuesday after presenting her semiannual monetary policy report.

The Federal Reserve will not hike rates for the next few Federal Open Market Committee meetings, according to Yellen’s prepared remarks.

During the question-and-answer session, Yellen addressed a range of questions from the committee about the Fed’s structure, its inflation measurement and the movement to “audit the Fed.” Earlier this week John Williams warned that hyperinflation will begin to appear in America sometime in 2015. He noted that, though the dollar is currently strong compared to other fiat money, signs that a currency collapse is coming will begin with the sell-off of the U.S. dollar.

It’s a known fact that the Russians and Chinese have already begun divesting themselves of dollar dependency by implementing trade agreements that completely sidestep the world’s reserve currency, but there has been no overt sign of a sell-off that might be indicative of a coming attack on our currency.

On the surface the recent drop in the price of oil has been a huge boost to America’s pocket books. But according to some analysts we shouldn’t be to quick to celebrate. The U.S. Oil and Gas industry has seen incredible job growth during the recession, with nearly 800,000 new jobs being attributed to domestic fracking and drilling expansion. At over $100 barrel, there was plenty of money to go around.

But with a sub-sixty dollar price point, it’s quite possible that all economic hell is about to break loose. According to a report from Zero Hedge the Russians have already started unloading their dollar reserves. In the month of December alone they sold a record $22 billion in U.S. Treasurys. While this may not seem like a big number, it is over 20% of their total US dollar holdings. The Federal Reserve is clamoring to shut down legislation that would allow the American people to take a look at its books.

For the Fed, the “health of the economy” consists “of flooding the economy with easy money, leading to a misallocation of resources and an artificial ‘boom’ followed by a recession or depression when the Fed-created bubble bursts,” according to Rand Paul’s father, former Congressman Ron Paul who, incidentally, worked unsuccessfully to abolish the Federal Reserve, not merely audit it. In recent weeks, the Federal Reserve and its apologists in Congress and the media have launched numerous attacks on the Audit the Fed legislation

Those are the conservative estimates and they are based on a $56 price point, which is almost exactly where we are today. But Saudi Arabia and other OPEC nations have suggested the price could drop to $40 or even as low as $20. While everybody appears to be celebrating the record highs on Wall Street, we are also seeing a loss of public trust. One key example of this loss of public trust is when you look at the $1.1 trillion spending bill in the U.S., where there was the dilution of the Dodd-Frank Act which now allows for bail-ins in the United States… This will lead to disastrous consequences…

When we start to talk about macroeconomics, and even more about monetary policy, we get this problem redoubled. And so it is with this question of just when is the Federal Reserve going to raise interest rates. Yellen also said that wage growth, which is something you’re going to need to see before inflation really comes roaring back, is not a precondition for interest rate hikes.

President Reagan appointed Dr. Roberts Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy and he was confirmed in office by the U.S. Senate. Peter Schiff & Jim Rickards Discuss Global Gold Markets

Peter Schiff is a well-known commentator appearing regularly on CNBC, TechTicker and FoxNews. He is often referred to as "Doctor Doom" because of his bearish outlook on the economy and the U.S. Dollar in particular. Would recommend both of Jim's books. He clearly understands our debt based monetary system and also appreciates Austrian economics. One issue I would take issue with is the "wrong models" of the Fed. The Fed has the right models if their intentions are to deceive and misdirect. If the name of the Fed was changed to the Bank of Rothschild, Morgan and Rockefeller the true nefarious nature of central banking would be exposed. I am sure Jim knows this but is simply being polite and diplomatic.
