China Launches New World Bank Rival!

China and India are backing a 21 country $100 billion Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to challenge to the World Bank and Asian Development Bank.

Memorandum of understanding were signed with 21 Asian countries in Beijing Friday. Australia, Indonesia and South Korea were absent following hidden pressure from Washington.

EBOLA IN AMERICA - U.S. Military Trains Its New Ebola Rapid Response Team

As health officials were trying to manage a patient infected with Ebola in New York, U.S. military personnel in Texas were in the first stages of training a new rapid-response team that could head to hospitals the next time an outbreak occurs.

The 30-member U.S. Military Ebola Rapid Response Team assembled at the Army's San Antonio Military Medical Center on Wednesday and consists of five physicians, 20 nurses and five certified trainers.

The group will supervise treatment and help hospitals deal with the intricacies of treating Ebola. Team members said they have not been requested to go to New York City, where the latest case of Ebola in the United States was confirmed on Thursday night. It will deploy on the request of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

In the training, members practiced with military precision putting on and taking off the bulky personal protective equipment that is to be worn as part of the protocol for medical personnel treating an Ebola-infected patient.

In the next room, nurses dressed in the protective suits practiced taking vital signs on a dummy used for medical training.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced new protocols for the protective suits after two hospital nurses in Dallas who had treated a man infected with Ebola became infected with the deadly virus this month.

The Russian president says the United States is promoting terrorism by financing militant groups and sowing the seeds of division among nations.
Vladimir Putin added that the US and its allies are still providing direct funding and weapons to the anti-government Takfiri militants operating in Syria. The Russian president noted that this is one reason why the ISIL Takfiri group has turned into a de facto army. He said that because of US support, ISIL has become powerful, justifying Washington’s unilateralism. Putin also advised those supporting terrorism to reflect on what they are doing, adding that one day the terrorists will turn on them and bring death and destruction to their countries.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused the US of trying to impose its will on other countries.

Putin said Washington’s policy has destabilized the world. The Russian president also criticized US interference in other countries as arbitrary. Instead, he urged talks on internationally acceptable conditions for any use of force. Putin also condemned Western sanctions against Moscow over the crisis in Ukraine. He however said the sanctions will not force his country to beg as Russia is strong. Putin added that Russia did not initiate the ongoing tensions between Moscow and the West. The European statistics agency has warned that it has reached nearly 134 percent of the country's gross domestic product in the second quarter of 2014. That’s up more than 3 percent over the first quarter. More bad news arrived from Brussels. Media reported that the European Commission may see Italy's recently passed budget law, which features 18 billion euros in tax cuts, not compatible with the EU's Growth and Stability Pact. The Italian government has been asked by the European Commission for clarifications about its 2015 budget law. The Brussels-based commission warned Italy that it risks deviating significantly from medium-term budget targets it had agreed with the European Union. On Friday, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi said he is hoping to agree a 2015 budget deal with the European Commission. Some suspect that the EU and Italy's top officials only pretend to argue on economic issues, but when push comes to shove they will just act as one party behind the scenes.
