Corporations see the incarceration of Americans as too profitable to resist and so they will continue to build prisons and encourage government to pass laws that wage war on the people to fill these prisons. America have falling victim to the greed of the Corporations and the government that sees Americans as nothing more that consumers, expendable resources and slaves.





An extremely problematic phenomenon in America today is the ever growing industry of privatized prisons across America, generally referred to as the Prison Industrial Complex, as well as skyrocketing rates of incarceration that leave the rest of the nations of the world trailing behind. The issue ties together many social aspects such as the connection between the massive rate of imprisonment for non-violent drug use and rampant poverty, as well as the growing political influence of private prison industries and companies that thrive on inmate populations as cheap and economic forms of labor. As this problem grows larger and larger, the prisons in the United States fill up continuously, based very much on a mentality that years of incarceration can fix pretty much any problem. The United States has, by far and away, the highest rate of incarceration of any nation in the world, as it imprisons approximately 743 people per 100,000 across the country. Today US prisons are filled to the breaking point with 2.3 million people, far more per capita than any country in the world; 1.6 times as many as it's closest competitor, Russia, and 6 times as many as in China. From 20 years ago, the US' prison population quadrupled in size to 2.3 million, making building prisons the fastest growing industry in the United States. Seventy Five percent of Americans in prison are there because of non-violent crimes, particularly in light of the "three strikes and you're out" laws that serve out millions of 25 years to life sentences every year to those that have committed three non-violent crimes like possession of illegal drugs. Because criminals locked up in prisons lose most of their rights in many states across America, the Prison Industrial Complex creates a population of people who cannot vote, cannot contest their working environments, and can work well below the limits of minimum wage, thus creating a very lucrative field that has become the staple of the economic structure for entire communities, particularly in the Midwest.

The US has embarked on a military adventure, “a long war”, which threatens the future of humanity. US-NATO weapons of mass destruction are portrayed as instruments of peace. Mini-nukes are said to be “harmless to the surrounding civilian population”. Pre-emptive nuclear war is portrayed as a “humanitarian undertaking”.

While one can conceptualize the loss of life and destruction resulting from present-day wars including Iraq and Afghanistan, it is impossible to fully comprehend the devastation which might result from a Third World War, using “new technologies” and advanced weapons, until it occurs and becomes a reality. The international community has endorsed nuclear war in the name of world peace. “Making the world safer” is the justification for launching a military operation which could potentially result in a nuclear holocaust.

Nuclear war has become a multibillion dollar undertaking, which fills the pockets of US defense contractors. What is at stake is the outright “privatization of nuclear war”.

The Pentagon’s global military design is one of world conquest. The military deployment of US-NATO forces is occurring in several regions of the world simultaneously.

Central to an understanding of war, is the media campaign which grants it legitimacy in the eyes of public opinion. A good versus evil dichotomy prevails. The perpetrators of war are presented as the victims. Public opinion is misled.

Breaking the “big lie”, which upholds war as a humanitarian undertaking, means breaking a criminal project of global destruction, in which the quest for profit is the overriding force. This profit-driven military agenda destroys human values and transforms people into unconscious zombies.

The object of this book is to forcefully reverse the tide of war, challenge the war criminals in high office and the powerful corporate lobby groups which support them.

In our New Year's Day tradition, four prognosticators, in separate hours, shared their predictions and insights for the new year ahead, and beyond. In order of appearance: psychic Joe Jacobs, numerologist Glynis McCants, prophecy expert John Hogue, and spiritual teacher Vincent Genna. First up, Jacobs assessed 2015 as a good year for business expansion or starting your own business, though fuel prices could shoot up again. The worst months for bad weather and natural disasters are January, August, and October; there could be earthquakes sometime before March in the Southern California area, and flooding in China in the August-September time frame, he predicted. The future is like a train track laid out on the road, but ultimately there are choices-- you can speed up or slow down, or you can take another road, Jacobs remarked.

Glynis McCants noted that 2015 (2+0+1+5 = 8) is an "8" year, which means it's going to be about politics, money, and the economy. As the (figure) 8 goes round and round, she foresees the stock market having a cyclical downturn. One of the big events of the year will be the Supreme Court ruling on ObamaCare in June, she cited, and whether it's a state issue. John Hogue sees 2015 as a year when it becomes clearer that the days of the American empire are ending, as economic power shifts East, and US citizens redefine what the American Dream means. He characterized 2015 as the "year of the spark" where all the elements are laid out for an explosion. Like the Michael Brown/Ferguson incident, "it's one of those mass mob psychology forces, a tsunami of discontent, and this is how revolutions begin," he said. Hogue also pointed toward early December 2015 as being a key time, when a world meeting on climate change takes place in Paris, but he doubted that leaders would take strong enough actions.

Imran Nazar Hosein is a leading International Islamic Philosopher, Scholar and author, specialising in world politics, economy, eschatology , modern socio-economic/political issues and expert on international affairs. He is best- selling author of Jerusalem in the Qur'an. Imran Nazar Hosein was born on the Caribbean island of Trinidad in 1942 to parents whose ancestors had migrated from India as indentured labourers. He studied Islam, Philosophy and International Relations at several universities and institutions of higher learning. Among them are al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, the Institute of International Relations of the University of the West Indies in Trinidad, the University of Karachi in Pakistan, the Aleemiyah Institute of Islamic Studies in Karachi, Pakistan, and the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland.

In the first half, actress, writer, and stand-up comedian Brett Butler, best known for playing the title role in the TV comedy series Grace Under Fire, joined George in-studio to talk about her work in the entertainment industry and how recovery helped her tune into her psychic ability as a medium and cultivate her interests in UFOs and the paranormal. She spoke about being picked by the highly successful producers Tom Werner and Marcy Carsey to helm her own TV show, which ran from 1993 to 1998, and her subsequent path to sobriety after she left the show.

Butler received mixed reactions as she began to be more open about her psychic gifts, with some friends highly supportive, others skeptical. She even incorporated psychic readings into some of her stand-up comedy routines. However, she thinks that people sometimes give psychics too much power, and that the future is always changeable. For a child there's a "trifecta" for developing psychic ability, Butler suggested-- severe physical illness, emotional trauma, and imaginary friends-- and she had all three of those. One of the gifts psychics have is the ability to help people get past traumas or things they're stuck on, and move on with their lives, she added.
