Turkish security forces found a 2kg cylinder with sarin gas after searching the homes of Syrian militants from the Al-Qaeda linked Al-Nusra Front who were previously detained, Turkish media reports. The gas was reportedly going to be used in a bomb.

 Japan's top government spokesman said on Thursday that Thursday's plunge by the Tokyo stock market was a temporary adjustment and that the Japanese economy is steadily picking up.

"Share prices appear to have been undergoing temporary adjustment over the past week," Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told reporters.

"A rise in share prices over the past month has been extremely rapid ... In that regard, it would be unnatural if adjustment did not occur," Suga said.

The Nikkei share average dived to a five-week low on Thursday as the yen firmed further against the dollar.

Uncertainty about the U.S. Federal Reserve's next course of action and a sharp, sudden plunge on Wall Street sent Asian stock markets lower Monday.

Japan's Nikkei 225 index lost 3 percent to 13,359.16, echoing U.S. stock market losses Friday. The Dow dropped more than 200 points, its worst drop in six weeks. The Nikkei also weakened as the Japanese currency posted gains against the dollar, a currency movement seen as negative for Japan's exporters since their products become more expensive when sold overseas.

The Federal Reserve is spending $85 billion a month on buying bonds to push down interest rates in hopes of spurring borrowing and spending. That has propelled investors into stock markets in search of higher returns.

Encouraging reports on housing and hiring, along with a soaring stock market, have led many to suspect that the Fed could cut back on its bond buying in the coming months. Some believe the stock market could plunge without the Fed's support.

South Korea's Kospi fell 0.3 percent to 1,994.37. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 fell 0.5 percent to 4,903.90. Benchmarks in Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines and Taiwan fell. Benchmarks in mainland China were mixed

As people are battered, brutalized, pepper sprayed and tear gassed in Turkey, it is becoming more and more obvious to the awakening masses that they are living under a tyrannical regime globally, who will do anything to keep its enslaved population under its control, its worker ants, and keep them enchained to their system of fear, debt and work. It is a big shock for everyone to realize the truth that, just like Syria, if the Turkish or the US population rose up a bit more than they are and became even more determined, then the tear gas, pepper spray and brutality would certainly turn into bullets, that is the way it is and has always been over millenia, except now it seems a little more sophisticated and people have been convinced that they are living in a democracy, but it is almost the complete opposite. It is a bitter pill to swallow and a painful realization for people to accept they had been controlled, manipulated and convinced that they were free, when in truth they were slaves to their government masters.

Democracy denotes freedom, and the people of this planet under the ruling oligarchs have oppression and slavery not freedom. There is no doubt that we are witnessing the awakening of human beings from a sort of amnesia, a great re membering from a dis membering, and the more the people wake up and realize they are trapped, the more they struggle and try to be free, and the more they struggle and try to be free the more the strangling hands of the tyrannical governments tighten their grip, because this system operates on debt and control of the population, not freedom. More than 100,000 Turkish protesters have gathered at Istanbul's Taksim Square, calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan.

Thousands of others also took to the streets in cities, including the capital Ankara, Izmir, Mugla and Antalya in support of the protesters in Istanbul.

Protesters say that Erdogan is out of touch with the reality on the ground and want his government to step down.

The unrest turned into anti-government protests after police moved into Taksim on Friday in order to break up a sit-in protest against the razing of the park, wounding at least two dozen people.

Although many economists have pointed out that the economic crisis owed more to the malfunctioning of the post-Bretton Woods system, until now no major institution, including the G20 , has come up with an alternative. The goal is for the G20 to transform the International Monetary Fund (IMF) into a global Federal Reserve System. The British and French have yet to provide conclusive evidence that the Syrian regime has in fact used chemicals weapons. Due to a lack of evidence, the Obama administration has balked on using military force in Syria. "Although there is little sign of the UN investigations team declaring chemical weapons have been used, western governments say that reporting of such incidents keeps up pressure on the Assad government and could deter it from large-scale use of chemical weapons," The Guardian reported on Wednesday. "There is increasingly strong evidence of localized use of chemical weapons," French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius claimed on Monday. "We are consulting with our partners to see what concrete consequences that we are going to draw from this."

Israel warned Thursday that it needed to prepare for a "new era" of war in the Middle East as the Syrian regime claimed the first shipment of anti-aircraft missiles from Russia had arrived.

The message comes as the Syrian opposition announced it will not attend a peace conference pushed by the Obama administration, crushing hopes of a ceasefire agreement soon in a war that is rapidly spilling across borders.

Israel vowed to target the S-300 long-range missiles that Russia has promised to send to Syria, insisting the rockets are an offensive weapon that could target Israeli commercial aircraft as well as its fighter jets inside Israeli airspace.

Speaking at the conclusion of a five-day civil defense drill that simulated missile attacks from Syria, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel "must prepare defensively and offensively for the new era of warfare."

"The Israeli home front is more accessible to the enemy than it has been," he said.

His remarks come as fighting between the rebels and Syrian military continued Thursday in the town of Qusair near the border with Lebanon. The Syrian army Wednesday took control of nearby Dabaa air base with the help of hundreds of Hezbollah militants.

The region is important to rebels who use it to transport supplies to their fighters. If lost would be a significant setback for the opposition, which has controlled the region for a year.

n an effort to up the ante in Syria and force the United States to intervene militarily, the British government on Wednesday sent a letter to United Nations boss Ban ki-moon alleging three new incidents of the al-Assad regime using chemical weapons against so-called rebels.

The British and French have yet to provide conclusive evidence that the Syrian regime has in fact used chemicals weapons. Due to a lack of evidence, the Obama administration has balked on using military force in Syria.
