Jim Marrs is an award-winning journalist and has over 30 years experience with several Texas newspapers. In 1999, he began teaching a course on UFOs, perhaps one of the first university level UFO courses in the nation. Jim also investigated the U.S. Army's remote viewing program three years before it was publicly acknowledged by the CIA and then produced "Alien Agenda." Jim Marrs (born 5 December 1943) is an American former newspaper journalist and New York Times best-selling author of books and articles on a wide range of alleged cover ups and conspiracies. Marrs is a prominent figure in the JFK conspiracy press and his book Crossfire was a source for Oliver Stone's film JFK. He has written books asserting the existence of government conspiracies regarding aliens, 9/11, telepathy, and secret societies. He was once a news reporter in the Dallas--Fort Worth Metroplex and has taught a class on the Kennedy Assassination at University of Texas at Arlington for 30 years. Biography

Since 1976, Marrs has taught a course on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy at the University of Texas at Arlington. In 1989, his book, Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy, was published and reached the New York Times Paperback Non-Fiction Best Seller list in mid-February 1992. It became a basis for the Oliver Stone film JFK. Marrs served as a chief consultant for both the film's screenplay and production,Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy.

Beginning in 1992, Marrs spent three years researching and completing a non-fiction book on a top-secret government program called the Stargate Project involving the psychic phenomenon known as remote viewing, only to have the program canceled as it was going to press in the summer of 1995. Within two months, the story of military-developed remote viewing broke nationally in the Washington Post after the CIA revealed the program.

In May 1997, Marrs' investigation of UFOs, Alien Agenda, was published by HarperCollins Publishers. Publishers Weekly described Alien Agenda as "the most entertaining and complete overview of flying saucers and their crew in years." The paperback edition was released in mid-1998. It has been translated into several foreign languages and become the top-selling UFO book in the world.

In early 2000, HarperCollins published Rule by Secrecy, which claimed to trace a hidden history connecting modern secret societies to ancient and medieval times. This book also reached the New York Times Best Seller list. In 2003, his book The War on Freedom probed the alleged conspiracies of the 9/11 attacks and their aftermath. It was released in 2006 under the title The Terror Conspiracy.

Marrs has been a featured speaker at a number of national conferences including the annual International UFO Congress and the annual Gulf Breeze UFO Conference, but he also speaks at local conferences, such as Conspiracy Con and The Bay Area UFO Expo.[8] Beginning in 2000, he began teaching a course on UFOs at the University of Texas at Arlington. Marrs usually also gives a book signing at Brave New Books in Austin, Texas at least once a year.

Marrs has appeared on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, C-SPAN, The Discovery Channel, TLC, The History Channel, This Morning America, Geraldo, The Montel Williams Show, Today, TechTV, Larry King (with George Noory), and Art Bell radio programs, as well as numerous national and regional radio and TV shows.

In October 2011, Jim Marrs started his own radio program, "A View from Marrs" on the Jeff Rense Radio network airing three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3 p.m. Central time. Rush Limbaugh Calls Into The Five: Praises Fox News, Battles With Beckel, And Slams Media Over Zimmerman

Rush Limbaugh called into Fox's The Five this afternoon for a wide-ranging interview that included open praise for Fox News, his thoughts on the George Zimmerman trial, immigration reform, and the future of the Republican Party.

Limbaugh kicked off the conversation by answering questions about whether he told his listeners to "stop watching Fox." He reiterated what he said on the air Tuesday afternoon that he meant the remark towards particular liberal pundits on television. He chalked the controversy up to the media's "desire" to "drive a wedge" among two of the more popular outlets for conservative media consumers — Fox and Limbaugh.

The radio host then offered up his thoughts on why The Five has been successful: "It's real," he said. "You guys make the show because it's a personality driven and it's just real. It just happens and it's relevant, it's topical. And all of you are relatively intelligent."

Co-host Andrea Tantaros asked the radio host to explain the nickname he gave her: Angela Tarantula. "It's a sexist answer," Limbaugh warned. "I come from a long-ago era where men could be men and stereotypical humor didn't offend anybody. You are so dominant and certain and confident I wouldn't want to mess with you."

The group then talked news-of-the-day with Limbaugh, asking him for his thoughts on the media coverage of the Zimmerman trial: "I think the media, you all excluded, is invested in a guilty verdict. And they are invested in a guilty verdict that is racial."

On immigration reform: "I really believe the Democrat Party needs a permanent underclass. They need a permanent dependent class of people low-educated, low-wage, low-skill dependent on government. They need that. Now as Americans climb the ladder of success and elevate themselves through the middle class and are less dependent on government, the Democrat races to replace them. They clearly see 11 million votes here."

On whether the GOP is attempting to appeal to some of the Democratic base through immigration reform: "We got the greatest opportunity — the Republicans do — to contrast themselves with what the Democrat Party stands for and they're not using it. They're trying to be Democrat Party light. They're trying to echo the Democrat Party, be perceived by them and liked by Democrat voters. It's a losing game."

And on the recent NSA scandal: "They've been doing that for ages," he said before asking to come back and talk on that issue in greater detail.

In the first half, rancher, realtor, and author Reid Lance Rosenthal talked about Agenda 21 anti-private property edicts, and government encroachment on freedoms. Agenda 21 got its start at a conference of UN environmental organizations in 1992, and over the years it's become "a 40 chapter ever-evolving bible of globalism," obliterating the rights of sovereign nations, and eliminating personal liberties for the good of the collective, he remarked. Under the guise of such terms as sustainable development, and viable communities, the Agenda seeks to increasingly control human activity, Rosenthal suggested. Agenda 21 promotes the concept of "regionalism," pushing for everyone to live in compact urban areas, and casts a negative light on suburbs and rural areas, he continued.

Governmental property confiscation is up 100 fold in the last 10 years, and "the heyday of property seizures by government for political and fiscal reasons is just beginning," he warned. Agenda 21 has come to Brazil in full force, and there's been more than 4,000 people displaced with their homes demolished, and troops sporting a UN logo were involved in the re-locations, Rosenthal reported. Eminent domain, the right of a government to take a property from a private landowner "for the public good," is a growing problem, with 13 million acres in the US being targeted for "federalization," he added. Rosenthal was also critical of the push for alternative energy in the US, characterizing it as a "cloak of crony capitalism" in which most of its green jobs created go overseas, and further, the industry is highly subsidized, and can't stand on its own.

In the latter half, attorney Scott Tips, the General Counsel for the National Health Federation, the world's oldest health-freedom organization for consumers, discussed how corporations are attempting to dominate markets though global food imperialism, and deny the public access to vitamins and supplements. Big agriculture and 'big pharma' are "dumbing down" the food supply and filling it with toxins, "so they're basically poisoning us and devitalizing the foods," he said. Codex Alimentarius, created 50 years ago, to establish international guidelines and standards for foods and supplements has been pushing to lower the amount of recommended daily intakes of vitamins as well as control or restrict health supplements. FDA bureaucrats who attend the Codex meetings don't represent the American consumer but rather big business, and the US is connected to their rulings via various trade agreements, he detailed.

Statistics show that supplements are generally quite safe, he cited, much more so than hospitals, and pharmaceutical drugs, for instance. People like Senator Dick Durbin, who is pushing a bill to control supplements as a way to protect the consumer, is actually more interested in protecting the existing big business, Tips opined. The answer isn't to build up more government powers-- this doesn't secure freedom, he continued. His organization has looked into such problems as excessive vaccinations, water fluoridation, over-farming reducing nutrients, and GMO labeling, and the common denominator in all of them is that they serve to lower fertility rates.

Glenn Beck Attacks Mos Def Force-Feeding Video, Calls Obama 'A Ridiculous Piece Of Garbage'

July 9, 2013 - Glenn Beck today couldn't help but laugh at rapper Mos Def (now Yasiin Bey) for subjecting himself to force-feeding in order to show his solidarity for the people subjected to similar punishment in Guantanamo Bay. Beck mocked the whole idea of sympathizing with people who are being given food in order to remain alive, and especially with prisoners in Gitmo. Beck also took some time to hit Obama on this issue, calling him a "ridiculous piece of garbage."

One of Beck's co-hosts mocked people criticizing force-feeding, saying, "What kind of nation are we, where we would make people have nutrition?! Where we would feed them to prevent them from starving to death!" Beck noted that the force-feeding is in response to prisoner hunger strikes, and it's being condemned by human rights groups.

Beck admitted he has no problem with shooting the prisoners or just letting them starve on their own, but called out President Obama for hedging on this issue, calling him "such a ridiculous piece of garbage at times." He said that a hunger strike will not make Americans more sympathetic and that it doesn't really matter much if they starve.

"It's not a humane way to kill someone, but we're not killing them. They are. If they want to go see their sweet, sweet Allah, I'm happy to introduce the two."

FRANCE Accused of SPYING on its own CITIZENS in Paris version of NSA PRISM




The French external intelligence agency spies on French citizen's phone calls, emails and social media activity and web use, the Le Monde newspaper has reported.




France's external intelligence agency the DGSE, intercepts signals from computers and telephones in France and between France and other countries in order to get a pictures of who is talking to whom, although, apparently, they do not randomly spy on the content of phone calls, the daily revealed on Thursday.




Emails, text messages, telephone records, access to Facebook and Twitter are stored for years. "All of our communications are spied on," read the article quoting unnamed sources in the intelligence services as well as remarks made publicly by intelligence officials.




The DGSE allegedly stores the metadata from private communications in a basement under its Paris headquarters. All of France's seven other intelligence services have access to the data and can tap into it freely as a means to spot people's suspicious communications. Individuals can then be targeted by more intrusive techniques such as phone-tapping, it was reported. Le Monde pointed out the activities were illegal, but the French national security commission whose job it is to authorize targeted spying, and the parliamentary intelligence committee, challenged the papers report. It said that it works within the law and that the only body in France that collected communication information was a government agency controlled by the Prime Minister's office to monitor for security breaches.




The report comes after revelations that America's NSA regularly spies on its own people as well as on European citizens and embassies.




The allegations were leaked by Edward Snowden and published in the German magazine Der Spiegel, and have sparked a furious response from European governments just as a major US-EU trade talks are about to get underway.

After much of the world was shocked by allegations that the NSA was actively spying on citizens through the PRISM program, Anonymous, a group of internet activists, released a series of documents that they claim can prove the existence of the intelligence sharing network.




Despite the U.S government confirming the existence of the seven-year initiative, some of the companies that were allegedly on board quickly denied their involvement. Major tech corporations that include Microsoft, Apple, AOL, Yahoo, Facebook and Skype were supposedly providing exclusive government access to their servers and all of the customer information contained within.




Although many would argue that it is the NSA's moral obligation to thwart potential attacks using any means necessary, the big concern is what could happen if this information were to fall into the wrong hands. After all, if Anonymous retrieved documents from an intelligence agency that should have unbeatable network security, what's stopping criminal groups from doing the same.

Who Are The Men in Black ~ Nick Redfern

British ufologist Nick Redfern discussed his research into the Men in Black (MIB) phenomenon, in which he looked at numerous cases from the start of UFO sightings to the present day. The first report of Men in Black was associated with Albert Bender, who was studying UFOs in the early 1950s and formed a popular group called the International Flying Saucer Bureau. But then, he suddenly shut the organization down after he was visited by three men wearing black suits who told him that he was getting too close to the truth, and if he knew what was good for him, he'd leave the subject alone. Later, researcher Gray Barker popularized Bender's tale, and implied that the Men in Black were government agents, Redfern detailed.

In many of the MIB accounts, witnesses describe the visitors as having somewhat odd appearances and behavior, including bulging eyes, being very short, sometimes lacking in emotion, and suddenly disappearing. Their goal always seems to be intimidation, which is typically accomplished with veiled threats, said Redfern, who added that he found it curious that people invariably allowed these strangers into their homes, which indicates the MIBs might employ a kind of hypnosis.

Redfern has concluded there may be more than one group behind the MIB phenomenon. For instance, there is documented evidence that government agents have visited people who've reported UFO sightings, yet some of the paranormal aspects to MIB visitations suggest there may also be alien/hybrids making their own visits to determine how much people know about them. Joshua P. Warren proposed an interesting theory to Redfern-- that MIBs may actually be time travelers. The reason they wear the black suits is because this look will fit in in many time periods, and this might also explain why the cars they drive are sometimes out of date, Warren said. Men in Black (MIB), in American popular culture and in UFO conspiracy theories, are men dressed in black suits who claim to be government agents who harass or threaten UFO witnesses to keep them quiet about what they have seen. They have been described as behaving in either an exceedingly furtive manner or a completely outgoing one, with wide grins and disconcerting giggles. This observation might suggest that the "gigglers" were possibly, though not necessarily, pranksters, as various forms of unexpected, inappropriate, or even bizarre (as in robotic) behavior seem to be hallmarks of these mysterious beings.

July 8, 2013 - NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden is still reportedly hiding out in the Moscow airport, but today The Guardian released more video excerpts from the June 6th interview conducted by Glenn Greenwald and Laura Poitros last month. In the new video, Snowden predicts that the U.S. government will charge him under the Espionage Act, and explains more about his motivations behind exposing the NSA's lies to the public, as well as the lack of government impetus to reign in its excesses.
Snowden tells Greenwald he fully expects the United States to go after him with full force. "I think they're going to say I've committed grave crimes, you know, I've violated the Espionage Act. They're going to say, you know, I've aided our enemies in making them aware of these systems, but that argument can be made against anybody who reveals information that points out mass surveillance systems, because fundamentally, they apply equally to ourselves as they do to our enemies."

Greenwald asks Snowden if he joined the intelligence community with the intention of "weaseling" in and becoming a mole in order to undermine it. Snowden explains that initially he "believed in the goodness of what we were doing," but realized after a while that he was part of a huge network "involved in misleading the public." He goes through details from the documents that have been since made public by The Guardian to show how the NSA has repeatedly, consistently "lied" to Congress about the scope of its "dangerous capability."

Snowden also addresses his decision to leave the United States, and why he felt that he had to make the information public in the first place. "I don't want to live in a world where everything I say, everything I do, everyone I talk to, every expression of creativity or love or friendship is recorded, and that's not something I'm willing to support. It's not something I'm willing to to built. And it's not something I'm willing to live under, so I think anyone who opposes that sort of world has an obligation to act any way they can. Now, I've watched and waited and tried to do my job in the most policy-driven way I could, which is to wait and allow other people--you know, wait on our leadership, our figures to sort of correct the excesses of government when we go too far, but as I've watched, I've seen that's not occurring, and, in fact, we're compounding the excesses of prior governments, and making it worse and more invasive. And no one is really standing to stop it."

We lose another one.

Looking at the banners in the massive Egyptian protests last week, we saw many anti-American slogans. Likewise, the Muslim Brotherhood-led government that was deposed by the military last week was very critical of what it saw as US support for the coup. Why is it that all sides in this Egyptian civil war seem so angry with the United States? Because the United States has at one point or another supported each side, which means also that at some point the US has also opposed each side. It is the constant meddling in Egyptian affairs that has turned Egyptians against us, as we would resent foreign intervention in our own affairs.

For more than 30 years, since the US-brokered Camp David Accord between Israel and Egypt, the US supported Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak. Over that period the US sent more than $60 billion to prop up Mubarak and, importantly, to train and seek control over the Egyptian military. Those who opposed Mubarak's unelected reign became more and more resentful of the US, which they rightly saw as aiding and abetting a dictator and denying them their political aspirations.

Then the US began providing assistance to groups seeking to overthrow Mubarak, which they did in 2011. The US continued funding the Egyptian military at that time, arguing that US aid was more critical than ever if we are to maintain influence. The US Administration demanded an election in Egypt after Mubarak's overthrow and an election was held. Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood won a narrow victory. The US supported Morsi but kept funding the Egyptian military.

After a year of Morsi's rule, Egyptians who did not approve of his government took to the streets to demand his removal from power. The US signaled to the Egyptian military that it would not oppose the removal of Morsi from power, and he was removed on July 3rd. With the overthrow of the Muslim Brotherhood-led government came the arrest of many politicians and the closure of many media outlets sympathetic to them. Then the US government warned the same Egyptian military that undermined democracy that it needed to restore democracy! Is it any wonder why Egyptians from all walks of life are united in their irritation with the United States?

Despite the Egyptian government being overthrown by a military coup, the Obama Administration will not utter the word "coup" because acknowledging reality would mean an end to US assistance to the Egyptian government and military. That cannot be allowed.

Instead, we see the same Obama administration that is on a worldwide manhunt for pro-transparency whistle-blower Edward Snowden demand that the Egyptian military exercise "political transparency" in its dealings with the ousted Muslim Brotherhood-led government.

So, successive US administrations over the decades have supported all sides in Egypt, from dictator to demonstrator to military. There is only one side that the US government has never supported: our side. The American side. It has never supported the side of the US taxpayers who resent being forced to fund a foreign dictatorship, a foreign military, and foreign protestors. It has never supported the side of the majority of Americans who do not wish to get involved in the confusing internal affairs of countries thousands of miles away. It has never supported the side of those of us concerned about blowback, which is the real threat to our national security. Unfortunately, US administrations continue to follow the same old failed policies and Obama is no different. More intervention, more foreign aid, more bullying, more empire.
