Coast To Coast AM - July 3, 2015 Tales of the Strange & Open Lines

 In the first half of the program, Buck Wolf, senior correspondent and weird news editor for the Huffington Post, shared tales and adventures from his investigations into the strange and unusual. He noted that the genre of "weird news" can encompass a wide variety of stories, such as bizarre finds and fringe art as well as paranormal events. Reflecting on how he ended up covering strange stories, Wolf recalled working for ABC in the 1990's and reporting on lurid murder trials like those of the Menendez brothers and OJ Simpson. Offered the choice of either covering yet another murder case or traveling to a Spam festival featuring a Stonehenge replica made out of the faux meat, he declared, "I want to see Spamhenge" and thus began his journey covering the bizarre.

While there has always been huge interest in these odd stories, he said, it is the explosion of the Internet which has changed the way they are covered. He explained that not only are there now a bevy of outlets that can report previously marginalized weird stories, but media companies can also see how truly popular these tales are to their readers, which leads to even greater coverage of the strange and unusual. Wolf also cited the proliferation of social media as a wholly unique new way that people receive news, since it has a communal quality where articles are shared and suggested amongst family and friends. Ultimately, he suggested that, as the level of interaction between the media and their audience continues to grow, broadcasters and journalists will have to adapt and become better reporters as feedback becomes instantly and easily available.

During Open Lines, Sid in Texas recounted a strange encounter he had on the 4th of July in 2007. At a family event, he and his father-in-law were cooking in the front yard when Sid noticed something strange running down the middle of the road. As it got closer to the house, he saw that it was an entity wearing a "space helmet" and seemingly covered with a protective layer of cobalt glass. As this odd visitor passed the house, he appeared to stop at the driveway. Encouraged by his father-in-law, Sid ventured over to the vehicles and looked underneath for the creature but saw no sign of it. A subsequent search of the area also yielded no clues as to what became of the 'space man,' leading Sid to theorize that it had somehow cloaked itself.

Other callers during the evening included Randy in Wisconsin, who wanted to raise awareness about how the population of fireflies seems to be diminishing in a manner similar to what is happening with honeybees. Thankfully, Randy pointed out, Clemson University is currently studying the phenomenon as part of a program known as the Vanishing Firefly Project. Greg in Oregon recalled his strange ghostly experience while staying at his sister's house. While resting on the couch on Christmas Eve, something slapped him in the back of the head, but there was no one else in the room. Webster Tarpley - a few words about The Confederate Flag

Webster Tarpley is an American historian, economist, journalist, lecturer and a critic of U.S. foreign and domestic policy.

He received a BA degree summa cum laude in English and Italian from Princeton University in 1966. While a student at Princeton he became a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and was a Fulbright Scholar at University of Turin in Italy. Tarpley also obtained a MA degree in humanities from Skidmore College, as well as a PhD from the Catholic University of America in History.

In the first half of the program, former administrative law attorney at the Pentagon, Don Brown, discussed the mysterious helicopter crash which killed seventeen members of Navy SEAL Team Six that had killed Osama Bin Laden ninety days earlier. The large chopper, known as Extortion 17, was shot down in Afghanistan in 2011, near the Pakistan border, and was the largest single loss-of-life in the history of the US Navy SEALs. On the mission, the team was ostensibly looking for a Taliban operative. As the chopper approached for landing, Rules of Engagement prevented pre-suppression fire into the helicopter's landing zone prior to landing, even though Taliban were spotted moving towards the landing zone, Brown detailed.

Various foreign media outlets reported that the Taliban was tipped on the helicopter's landing zone, he continued, but the US military, in a possible cover-up, concluded in its subsequent investigation that there was no wrong-doing, and that the shoot-down was unavoidable. Among the mysteries in the case were claims that no black box was ever found for the helicopter, and bullets discovered in the bodies of two of the SEALs. Aboard the shot-down craft were seven Afghan soldiers, who possibly were undercover Taliban. They might have guided the chopper to the location where it was shot down, or sabotaged it from within, Brown conjectured.

In the latter half, founder and President of Ramtha's School of Enlightenment, JZ Knight, talked about her renewed interest in UFOs and their meanings, as well as insights from Ramtha, the entity whom she has channeled for decades. According to Knight, such a formation occurred in Wiltshire, England in July 2011, featuring a pipe smoking alien and headdress with seven levels of consciousness. Benjamin Fulford - June 29, 2015: Greek Domino falls, China moves in to pick up the pieces

So, it has finally happened, Greece has shut down its banks and imposed capital controls. And so the dominoes start to fall. This is only the first act in a grand opera that will continue to unfold in the coming months. To try to guess what is in store for the European Union, it is good to take a look at how the fall of the Soviet Union took place. The fall of the Soviet Union began with a widespread sense of dissatisfaction with the government among both the working class and the elites. This gave birth to strikes and demonstrations in Poland that led to the fall of the Polish government in June of 1989. In November of that year the Berlin wall came down. Then, running into 1990, the communist governments of Czechoslovakia,

Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary fell. Finally, in December of 1991 Michael Gorbachev resigned and the Soviet Union itself collapsed.

So now that Greece has failed we can expect Spain, Italy, France, Germany and finally the United States itself to follow a roughly similar trajectory to what we saw with the Soviet Union.

What most people still do not realize about the fall of the Soviet Union was that it was not caused by failed ideology but by actual financial bankruptcy. That is why the United States and the European Union, which is modelled almost exactly on the Soviet Union, are doomed to experience regime change. They are bankrupt.

Chinese and BRICS government sources explain what they are going to do next. Chinese number 2 Li Keqiang is arriving in Europe this week where he will announce China will contribute generously to a European reconstruction fund with an initial budget of 315 billion Euros. It is no coincidence that this is almost exactly the same amount as the Greek debt total is.

The Chinese offer of bail out money for Europe is the one of the reasons why the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland etc. agreed to join the China initiated Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

In addition to this, the BRICS development bank, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and many other new institutions are also now opening shop. All of these institutions will be helping direct a flow of $21 trillion worth of Chinese money that is expected to flood world markets in the coming months and years.

In parallel to this, there are also ongoing negotiations on what rules will apply to the $21 trillion worth of Chinese savings that the Chinese government is soon going to let Chinese citizens invest overseas. Basically this amounts to discussions about what areas the Chinese will be allowed to invest in and what will be off limits.

The Europeans are much more open about what the Chinese can invest in than the Americans. So far, the British have already offered ownership of a major newspaper (this writer is involved in the negotiations so cannot disclose the name of the paper) to the Chinese. The newspaper deal will involve a promise by the Chinese to not interfere in fact based reporting. The British are also trying to find a Chinese buyer interested in the British Telecoms’ landline infrastructure, among other things.

The British are further along in their negotiations with the Chinese than other Europeans but you can be sure the Greeks, then the Spanish, Italians and others will not be far behind.

Hungary is ahead of the rest of Europe in that they have already agreed to participate in the Chinese silk-road initiative to build extensive transportation infrastructure across Eurasia.

By contrast, Chinese and American negotiations over what parts of the US economy Chinese would be allowed to invest in failed last week. Chinese sources say this was because the Americans were unwilling to open enough sectors to Chinese investments. Pentagon sources say the negotiations failed because the Chinese were reluctant to start merging Chinese armed forces with the Pentagon. State Department sources added the Chinese were also still unwilling to open their financial markets sufficiently to Western financial institutions. Of course, seeing what damage Western financial institutions have caused around the world, Chinese reluctance to allow them free reign seems quite reasonable.

Even as this avalanche of Asian money looms over the world markets, there are still frantic moves afoot to try to keep the old Western system solvent. The latest move on that front, according to Japanese right wing sources, has been a request by the US Treasury Department that the Mitsubishi Group take-over the Union Bank of Switzerland. The problem is the Americans are not letting Mitsubishi do any real due diligence. The right winger recalls the same thing happened when the Japanese were asked to bail out Merrill Lynch. “They are just asking us to fill in a black hole,” he complained.

The Mitsubishi Group, with its close ties to David Rockefeller, is the main force behind the Abe slave regime in Japan, according to multiple sources here. Abe, because of his low IQ, was sent to the low prestige Seikei University founded by the Mitubishi Group as a favor to his war criminal grandfather. It appears forcing Mitsubishi to buy UBS is payback for the US campaign to allow Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to start exporting weapons.

The military build-up in Japan is part of a plan first proposed by Senior Nazi cabalist Richard Armitage more than a decade ago. The Abe government is betting its final energy on laws aimed at integrating the Japanese military with the US military. These are expected to be pushed strongly over the summer.

However, there are growing signs in Japan of revolt against the Shinzo Abe slave government. Recently two separate nationally broadcast television shows openly stated the March 11, 2011 tsunami and nuclear disaster in Japan was the result of deliberate sabotage.

Also, several people who recently met Abe said he was looking very frail from his intestinal illness.

There is a concrete scenario to replace Abe this autumn, according to several Japanese power brokers. The details are still being kept secret but the P2 Freemason lodge, MI6, Asian secret societies, the Japanese yakuza and other factions are pushing this scenario. Only a few top level Khazarian slaves remain in support of Abe now. Their names have been noted and they will be asked to step aside this autumn.

Also the P2 Freemason lodge and the Vatican are negotiating deals with the Russians and the Pentagon to make sure the West retains an equal say with Asia in the emerging new international financial, economic and political system. The fact that UBS is linked to the Teutonic Knights and thus to the P2 lodge is a clear indication the Vatican is pushing for Japanese backing (money) to ensure we do not end up with a one China world.

To this end Russia’s Vladimir Putin met with Pope Francis on June 10th to push for an East West Christian bloc, according to Pentagon sources. Both are now going to pressure US President Barack Obama to disengage in the Ukraine, Syria and elsewhere so that the Christian West can form a unified bloc, the sources said.

The demonstrations come as the country confirms it will not meet the deadline for a $1.8 billion loan repayment due by 6 p.m. Eastern time tonight, deepening Greece’s fiscal crisis and threatening its exit from the eurozone. Greece will hold a vote this Sunday on whether to accept an austerity package of budget cuts and tax hikes in exchange for new loans. Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has urged a "no" vote, calling the proposal a surrender. We go to Greece to speak with Costas Panayotakis, professor of sociology at the New York City College of Technology at CUNY and author of "Remaking Scarcity: From Capitalist Inefficiency to Economic Democracy."

In the first half of the program, investigative journalist Jim Marrs discussed his latest work which details the global elite's most audacious plot yet: a conspiracy to reduce the world's population to 500 million people. The corporate owners want the population under control "and they're doing it through bad food, bad water, bad air; and they're spraying us with chemicals," he said, adding that it's really a kind of eugenics program. About 70% of the US water supply has poisonous fluoride in the water supply, and corporate processed foods lack nutrients and lead to obesity, he outlined. As an example of the elite's agenda, he cited Hillary Clinton who has a penchant for natural foods for her own family, yet has advocated for GMOs, and one of the leading supporters for her 'Let's Go Hillary' campaign is a Monsanto lobbyist.

Glyphosate, a major ingredient in Monsanto's Roundup herbicide has been linked to the rising incidence of autism, Marrs stated, and alarmingly, at current rates, by 2025 one in every two children will be autistic. Further, conventional medical treatment is the third leading cause of death in the United States, just behind cancer and heart disease, he reported. Marrs noted how the preponderance of school shooters were taking psychotropic drugs, and that a certain percentage of people on these prescriptions have violent reactions. He also talked about the possibility of mind controlled assassins-- when Timothy McVeigh was first captured, he said he had a chip placed in him.

In the latter half, historian, antiquarian, theologian, writer, and lawyer, Robert W. Sullivan IV shared his fascination with secret societies and how their influence and symbolism permeates various aspects of society, especially in architecture and cinema. Sullivan's work revealed that Masonic philosophers were incorporating elements of the Book of Enoch (an ancient religious work dated as far back as 300 BC) into their rituals. One such ritual called "The Royal Arch of Enoch" was developed in France in the mid 1700's. The Book of Enoch was considered lost until Freemason and traveler James Bruce returned to Europe with copies from Ethiopia in 1773.

Sullivan pointed out fascinating bits of symbolism in a number of films and literary works. For instance, with the James Bond character, author Ian Fleming choose the 007 moniker as a reference to occult philosopher and alchemist John Dee, who was an advisor to Queen Elizabeth I. Fleming also befriended and worked with the famous occultist Aleister Crowley. There are connections to Egyptology and numerology in the Back to the Future trilogy, and the Osiris rebirth cycle is reenacted symbolically in parts II & III, he noted. In The Exorcist film, there is much symbolism to connect the savior-like Father Karras character to Jesus, such as the scene of him ascending the subway, with the sign for 33rd St. behind him (Jesus was 33 years old when crucified).

In the first half of the program, host Dave Schrader (email) welcomed author and parapsychology expert, Ursula Bielski, who shared ghost stories from the city of Chicago. In recounting the tale of an entity known as 'Resurrection Mary,' Bielski marveled that the case is "without a doubt, the most famous vanishing hitchhiker story in the world." A typical encounter with the ghost, she said, happens when men are traveling near Resurrection Cemetery in the south side of Chicago and offer a ride to a woman seen wandering along the road. Upon resuming their journey, the spirit will either swiftly disappear or scream for the driver to stop at the front of Resurrection Cemetery, where she then jumps out of the car, runs through the gate, and vanishes. Bielski stressed that, unlike similar urban legends, numerous known witnesses have had Resurrection Mary experiences, including a police officer who encountered her last summer.

Another case discussed by Bielski was the Congress Hotel, which she noted was less known nationally but, amongst Chicago ghost investigators, the building is seen as the most active and unsettling haunted location in the city. Built for tourists visiting Chicago for the 1893's World's Fair, the hotel boasts a whopping 800 rooms spread over two towers. According to Bielski, during a two day investigation of the hotel, her team found a stunning seventeen haunted rooms as well as two haunted ballrooms. Beyond the hauntings, she also revealed that the hotel has a sealed off room which contains of its furniture. Bielski theorized that the room may have been used for an exorcism and, in keeping with spiritual beliefs surrounding the rite, the furniture would have been seen as potentially dangerous since it could have absorbed the demonic energy that had been released during the event.

During Open Lines, Kevin in Texas told the story of a breathtaking spiritual encounter experienced by his ex-wife. He explained that she had traveled to Galveston in order to hide from a man who had been stalking her, but he found her at a hotel and shot her five times. After she fell to the floor, he left the room to get a hacksaw and finish his nefarious attack. During this time, Kevin's ex-wife looked up and saw two children who exhorted her to get up of the floor and escape, however she was too weak to do so. Miraculously, when the man returned, the ethereal children picked her up and the three of them transported through the door to the outside. When the stalker caught up with the wounded woman, the children vanished, but witnesses saw the gruesome scene, which caused him to flee.

Later in the program, Dave from Maryland recounted incidents from his time working as a corrections officer at a haunted prison. He recalled one evening when he and his fellow officers were watching the security camera monitors and saw people in a workshop that should have been empty. After rushing down to the room, they were dumbfounded when no one was there. As they were leaving the vacant workshop, a disembodied voice screamed out, "pigs, get out!" Other odd events at the prison included doors that required a key being seemingly being opened by themselves and an eerie mist appearing in security footage. As to why these events took place, Dave surmised that they were the work of deceased prisoners who relished at the chance to harass the forces that had kept them confined when they were alive.

 Earthfiles investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe discussed the ongoing loss of commercial honey bee hives in the US, the possible dangers from the rapid advances in A.I. and robotics, the notion that space and time is "an illusion," and strange aerial phenomena seen in the skies near Area 51. Dave Hackenberg, co-chairman of the National Honeybee Advisory Board, lamented that many beekeepers are now "losing 80% to 90% of their operation" due to Colony Collapse Disorder. Based on his experience, Hackenberg pointed to nicotine-based pesticides as the likely cause of the epidemic. While he was optimistic that pollinating insects like honeybees will ultimately survive, Hackenberg conceded that "I'm more worried about beekeepers facing extinction," due to the financial challenges posed to their businesses by CCD. Next, Linda shared her conversation with Royal Astronomer Martin Rees, who expressed concern about the development of artificial intelligence on par with humans. He explained that, since machines can 'think' faster than people, once a computer with a human level of intelligence is created, it will be able to conceive of improvements faster than we can comprehend or stop. "This is when machines will take over," he mused. However, Rees also put forward the theory that perhaps this development is part of a natural process where organic intelligence can only rise to the level where it creates machines which overtake it. Linda also spoke with Professor George Ellis of the University of Cape Town, South Africa, who detailed his "quantum collapse theory" which challenges Einstein's concepts surrounding the nature of time.

In her final segment, Linda played her interview with "Kelly," who witnessed strange aerial phenomena while serving as a security instructor at Creech AFB in Nevada. During a training exercise, Kelly and his students spotted a reddish light hovering in the sky about 30 miles away. Looking at it with a powerful spotting scope, he determined that this light was composed of four smaller lights which were alternating in color between red and orange. After observing the object for about five minutes, it simply faded and disappeared. "It was definitely a craft I have never seen before," he marveled. Kelly went on to recount how this event was merely one instance in a lifetime of ET interaction, including an encounter with a grey alien and a non-physical implant which was embedded in his head. In the first hour, Shanelle Schanz talked about her grandfather, Kenneth Arnold, who on June 24, 1947 was the first pilot to report a UFO sighting, which led to the coining of the term 'flying saucers.' According to Schanz, Arnold first thought the UFOs he spotted in 1947 may have been Russian aircraft and, thus, he felt compelled to report the sighting. However, she revealed, towards the end of his life, Arnold came to the conclusion that these craft has a multidimensional origin. Since Arnold's sighting seemingly served as the start of the modern UFO era, Schanz likened the event to a spiritual experience and observed that "he felt like it was his purpose in life to figure out what it really was."
