Police Officer Michael Slager is Why This Black Man Lives in China




 A white South Carolina police officer was arrested and charged with murder Tuesday after video showed him fatally shooting a fleeing, unarmed black man in the back.

North Charleston Police Officer Michael T. Slager, 33, can be seen shooting 50-year-old Walter Scott after a confrontation on Saturday, according to The Post and Courier. Slager chases Scott and shoots at him eight times in the video recorded by a passerby and obtained by The New York Times.

Scott died there, though it wasn't clear if he died immediately.

The graphic video raises questions about Slager's original assertion that he used his gun because he felt endangered.

 A spokesman for the corporation which runs the shipyard, Ilya Zhitomirsky, told the Associated Press news agency that the critical parts of the submarine's nuclear reactor had been removed long before the repair work had begun. The Orel submarine joined the Northern Fleet's base in Murmansk region in 1992, reports say, and on operations it is armed with anti-ship missiles. It was moved for repairs to Severodvinsk, a city near Arkhangelsk on the White Sea, in 2013. Local media said that the blaze on the 155m-long (500ft) submarine began when some insulation material caught fire during welding work. In 2011, the Yekaterinburg nuclear submarine was damaged in a huge fire during repairs in the northern Murmansk region. OBAMA on CLIMATE CHANGE - Climate Change is Hazardous to America's Health Asserts Obama

Climate change is harming the health of Americans — making it harder to breathe for some and deathly hot for others, President Barack Obama said Tuesday at Howard University after a roundtable discussion exploring the links between atmospheric conditions and illness.

The event — which included Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy and EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy — marked the launch of a series of administration-led actions "that will allow us to better understand, communicate, and reduce the health impacts of climate change," the White House said.

"We've got to do better in protecting vulnerable Americans," Obama told reporters. "Ultimately, though, all of our families are going to be vulnerable. You can't cordon yourself off from air or from climate."

More wildfires mean more tiny particulates are being emitted into the skies, prolonging allergy seasons and inducing more asthma attacks in people that condition, the president said.

Climate change also is associated with higher, overall temperatures and intensified heat waves, exposing more Americans to heat stroke, including those who work outside in jobs like construction and agriculture

"It means that elderly Americans will be even more vulnerable to respiratory distress and possible death from extreme heat, a problem that we already experience in our cities, particularly among the poor and minority populations who don't always have easy access to air conditioning," Man-made “climate change” is largely a myth promoted by politicians to scare the public into accepting a vast expansion of government to supposedly stop “global warming.”

Global warming is a manufactured problem played up by the government to instigate a public reaction – fear – the government then exploits to offer a predetermined solution: the expansion of government at the public’s expense.

This strategy, now known as the Hegelian Dialectic, has been used successfully by politicians for millennia to expand government, which can only grow at the expense of individual liberties.

The Bush administration used the strategy successfully in 2003 when it gained enough public support for the invasion of Iraq by claiming the country had weapons of mass destruction, and the war ultimately expanded the military-industrial complex and America’s emerging police state.

The scientists at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution announced on Monday that samples of seawater collected from the shoreline of Ucluelet, British Columbia, in February contained trace amounts of cesium-134. They say Fukushima would have to be the source of the radioactive cesium, as it is the only place recently where the material was produced and the substance has a 2-year half-life. Cesium-134 has been detected in waters off the United States and Canada, but this is the first time it has been detected along a shore. The scientists say the sample in Ucluelet contained 1.4 Becquerels per cubic meter, well below the internationally set level at which human and marine life can be affected. They say the levels were extremely low but they will continue to carefully monitor the situation, as more sites in the region are expected to show detectable levels of cesium-134 in coming months.

Webster Tarpley is an American historian, economist, journalist, lecturer and a critic of U.S. foreign and domestic policy.

He received a BA degree summa cum laude in English and Italian from Princeton University in 1966. While a student at Princeton he became a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and was a Fulbright Scholar at University of Turin in Italy. Tarpley also obtained a MA degree in humanities from Skidmore College, as well as a PhD from the Catholic University of America in History.

As a European based journalist in the 1980s, Tarpley wrote a study on the assassination of Prime Minister Aldo Moro. The study claimed that the murder was a false flag operation orchestrated by Propaganda Due (a Masonic Lodge) with the cooperation of senior members of the Italian government secret services that was blamed on the Red Brigades.

As an activist historian he first became widely known for his book George Bush: The Unauthorized Biography (1992), a masterpiece of research which is still a must read.
