 Kitco News - While many news headlines said it was a ‘surprise’ move by authorities to devalue the Chinese yuan, one trends forecaster said he was expecting it and more surprises are in store. Speaking to Kitco News, Gerald Celente, publisher of the Trends Journal said he was completely unfazed by the China news. He explained that on July 24, China’s State Council telegraphed the move when it announced a series of measures to pump up the economy and boost declining exports. 'Although it wasn’t reported as such, it was clear to the institute the yuan would be devalued,' he said. On Wednesday, China's yuan hit a four-year low, falling for a second day after The People’s Bank of China devalued it by close to 2%. Spot yuan in China slid to as low as 6.4510 per dollar, its weakest since August 2011, after the central bank set its daily midpoint reference at 6.3306, even weaker than Tuesday's devaluation. China has been implementing economic and monetary measures to resuscitate its flagging economy. The move by China shook the financial world, with Asian and European stock markets selling off. The weaker yuan will make imported goods into China—the world’s most populous country and the second-largest economy—more expensive. It will also make Chinese-produced goods cheaper on the world export market. But Celente believes that China can’t save itself and called it an 'act of desperation.' 'That’s not going to get them out of this. You’ve got a bunch of rookies playing in a big game over there and they don’t know how to get out of it.'

The Next Sovereign Debt Crisis Could Be in France or Italy

 France isn’t that far away from a sovereign debt crisis, and Greece’s problems aren’t going away either, according to John Mauldin, Chairman of Mauldin Economics. Mauldin described Greece’s latest agreement with its creditors as just another example of kicking the can down the road. ‘They’re borrowing money that they can’t pay, on top of money that they already can’t pay,’ said Mauldin. On Tuesday, Greece reached an agreement with its creditors on new bailout terms, but Mauldin believes a Greek exit from the eurozone remains a possibility in the future. ‘There has never been a monetary union in the history of the world that has stayed together, that hasn’t fallen apart, such as the Euro, without having a fiscal union,’ said Mauldin, who believes the next crisis will prompt the creation of a true fiscal union. ‘I think they actually do this, and I think they do this when France itself goes into a sovereign debt crisis. And France is not that far away from it.’ Mauldin said France has no way to grow their way out of its current debt problem. Mauldin said a crisis may be a few years away, but at that time Europeans will realize the best course is to lump all of their debt together. Mauldin spoke with TheStreet’s Rhonda Schaffler at Camp Kotok, an annual gathering of economists and money managers in Maine.

OATH KEEPERS PATROL FERGUSON - Heavily Armed Men Patrol Ferguson Ready to Defend U.S Constitution

Armed to teeth with semi-automatic assault rifles and handguns, members of the Oath Keepers militia, formed of former and current law enforcement and military officers, have blended into the crowd of Ferguson protesters, saying “We’re on your side.” The Oath Keepers are wearing military harness, bullet-proof vests and are armed with AR-15 assault rifles. Videos and pictures posted online show that the Oath Keepers spotted at the rally are all white. Allegedly, they have an agreement with police not to walk through the ranks of law enforcement, according to a Guardian reporter. They are also cited to "be on the protesters' side."

Frank Salter - Eugenics, Ready or Not

 Frank Salter is an Australian academic and researcher at the former Max Planck Institute for Behavioral Physiology. He is a political ethologist, studying political phenomena using the methods and theories of behavioral biology in addition to conventional methods. Frank’s recent essay, “Eugenics, Ready or Not” is the platform for our conversation, which begins with clarification of the definition and background of eugenics, along with its links to genetics and the rapidly advancing field of reproductive technology. Frank details some points in history that have given eugenics a bad name, underscoring instances where the state has stepped in and taken authority over individual sovereignty, an action he declares is extremely dangerous. In the first half, historian and expert in ancient mysteries Jonathan Cahn discussed how omens and cycles from ancient texts are reappearing with startling similarities to the events which foretold the destruction and fall of great civilizations. The cycle of Shemitah was originally described in the Bible as a sabbath or rest for the land, and occurs for a one-year period every seven years, he explained, adding that this pattern of sevens predicted 9/11, the crash of 2008, and other previous economic downturns. He translated Shemitah as "shaking" and said the cycle can also relate to periods of natural disasters.

A new Shemitah cycle starts this September 13th and it's actually the culmination of a 50 year cycle-- a kind of super-Shemitah, and it will run through September 2016, he said. This period could include a major war involving Israel that results in a prophetic end times restoration, Cahn continued. At this juncture, "I believe we could be watching a gigantic change of world history," which will include America's downfall, he remarked. Yet, on the positive side, this hardship to the United States has the possibility of bringing about a great spiritual revival to the country, he added.

In the latter half, Kathleen O’Keefe-Kanavos described how she survived three incidences of cancer missed by the medical community, by relying on her precognitive dreams, in which she received life-saving messages from her spirit guides. Appearing to her as monks in recurring nightmares, they insisted she take particular actions in regards to her medical situation. In one instance, while she was in remission from her first bout of breast cancer, she was told by her guides to ask her doctor for exploratory surgery. The doctor was initially resistant but she finally was able to convince him, and they ended up finding a stage 2 carcinoma, and cancer in the lymph node in a follow-up procedure. If she hadn't acted on the guide's message, it likely would have been too late for her, she surmised.

She is aware when her spirit guides enter her dream state as they appear like "pop-ups" over the existing scene. The guides or eternal teachers (ETs) are able to communicate via a kind of timeless 'Ocean of Gnosis,' an encompassing field that all beings share, she detailed. The guides can act like instructors for the crises and walls that we run up against as human beings in this lifetime, she continued.
