H.R. 1105 - A Big Tax Break for Billionaires

 
For the first time in ten years, the U.S. House of Representatives this week will vote on a bill to kill the death tax once and for all. H.R. 1105, the “Death Tax Repeal Act of 2015″ is sponsored by Congressman Kevin Brady (R-Tex.) and notably features the co-sponsorship of Congressman Sanford Bishop (D-Ga.), a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. Earlier iterations of this bill have enjoyed the co-sponsorship of a majority of the chamber, so passage is not in doubt. Maybe that’s why 81 business and citizen grassroots organizations have signed a joint letter under the auspices of the Family Business Coalition urging Congress to kill the death tax.

With the fate of the bill a sure thing, let’s reflect on the top ten reasons the death tax deserves to die:

1. The death tax is not fair. At a basic level, Americans know that the death tax is not fair. It’s not fair that you earn income all your life and pay heavy taxes on it. It’s not fair that you save your hard-earned money and pay taxes on what you make. It’s not fair that you build a small business and face exorbitantly high tax rates. But all of these unfairness taxes pale in comparison to the death tax. The death tax is a tax you pay on savings you have already paid taxes on at least once, and potentially more than once. It results in the liquidation of first and second generation farms and businesses just to pay the tax. Why should a business have to pay taxes again just because an owner has died?

2. The death tax is not popular with the American people. In a 2009 Tax Foundation poll, the death tax was considered the “least fair” by the American people, even more unfair than the income tax. In poll after poll for decades now, the death tax has consistently been opposed by 60 to 70 percent of adults, registered voters, and likely voters. The results are in, and the intense opposition to the death tax is unquestionable.

A report revealed Wednesday that famed MSNBC host Harris-Perry and her husband owe nearly $70,000 in delinquent taxes. April 15th, or pay your tribute to the Federal Reserve Day, is now upon us – that is unless your one of the following Fortune 500 companies that aren’t paying any taxes.

According to a report in the Daily Mail entitled, “The Fortune 500 Companies That Didn’t Pay a PENNY in 2014 Income Tax Despite Being Worth Billions,” multiple companies including CBS, Mattel, Prudential Time Warner, Owens Cornin, Jet Blue, Xerox, Priceline.com and perennial Bombmaker General Electic, enjoy paying zero income tax while Americans are buried.

Some of these companies even received rebates. Thanks goodness we have Hillary Clinton going after the 1 %.

Ronald Reagan’s Grace Commission report found that one-third of all income taxes are consumed by waste and inefficiency in the federal government, and 100 percent of what is collected is absorbed solely by interest on the federal debt. In the context of the financial crisis, and the government’s ever expanding fiscal deficit, it is perhaps no surprise that the issue of taxation has become one of the most hotly debated topics in the United Kingdom’s upcoming election.

Nor is it surprising that the establishment has successfully avoided any discussion of what makes dealing with the deficit so imperative, namely, the taxpayer bailout of the banking system.

One person who recently ran afoul of this populist fervor is the ex-chairman of HSBC Stephen Green, who presided over the bank at a time when its private banking arm helped wealthy clients (including a number of celebrities) avoid taxes by squirreling their assets away in non-declared Swiss accounts.

SOUTH AFRICA XENOPHOBIA PROTESTS - Blacks on Blacks

 As thousands of South Africans took to the streets of the city of Durban to rally against violence and xenophobia, an online community has joined the protests.

The marches follow recent violent attacks on foreigners in the country that have claimed five lives.

During the protest march Thursday, Twitter followers voiced their support through hashtag campaigns. #PeaceMarch and #SayNoToXenophobia were some of the most popular.

South African Police Services said more than 10,000 people attended the march, including civil rights groups and nongovernmental organizations. World Economy Crumpling NOW! Must see evidence of financial catastrophe in the making.

 World stock indices plummet. This is the first time I have seen ALL major indices go negative since the last big crash...

The world economy stands on the brink of a second credit crisis as the vital transmission systems for lending between banks begin to seize up and the debt markets fall over. The latest round of quantitative easing from the European Central Bank will buy some time but it looks like too little too late.

The second global credit crisis is now already unfolding in China some 6,800 miles away from the epicentre of the first in the US. The bonds of Chinese real estate companies are now falling like dominoes. Kaisa, a Shenzhen-based, Hong Kong-listed developer that raised $2.5bn on international markets had to be bailed out by rival group Sunac last week after it defaulted onits debts. The bonds of other Chinese real estate groups such as Glorious Property and Fantasia have also sold off heavily as the contagion spreads.

Chinese authorities have responded to try and contain the situation. The People’s Bank of China introduced a surprise 50-point cut in the Reserve Requirement Ratio (RRR) from 20pc to 19.5pc. But this misses the point, the credit system in China is completely unsustainable unless new money is printed every year to refinance the old, simply tinkering to ease liquidity won’t cut it.

The strain in its banking system is highlighted by the elevated levels of the Shanghai Interbank Offered Rate (SHIBOR), which shows Chinese banks are worried about lending to each other.

There is no schadenfreude in watching China unravel. The idea that this is an isolated incident is laughable, remember the very same was said of US subprime. The problem is that banks such as Standard Chartered and HSBC have both rapidly increased their lending operations in Asia since 2008.

In the first half, analyst Craig Hulet offered commentary on current events, terrorism, and world conflicts. "It looks to me unbelievably clear that money is going to buy the presidency, and Jeb Bush will be the next president," he declared, adding that in about 10 years, "you and I will not recognize the domestic United States of America." The US, he suggested, has become a corporate regime, and there's an incredible amount of wealth and power in the hands of the very few. It isn't about the people voting any longer, as "every senator and congressman, and the president, is bought and paid for-- they're civilian contractors. It's an oligarchy...which means the money elite runs this country," bankrolling specific candidates that kowtow to their views, Hulet continued.

There's no question any longer that Saudi Arabia was behind the 9-11 attacks, Hulet reported, and this information has been whitewashed by the FBI-- an FBI official actually went to Senator Graham's house and told him to back off on any revelations. The image of the tree is the word I have learned which gives a certain name to the tree, tells its species and recalls its beauty. Can I look at that tree, at that cloud, at that flower, without thought, without the image? That's fairly easy to do, if you have done it. But can I look without the image at a human being with whom I am intimate, whom I consider as wife, husband, child? If I can't, there is no real relationship: the only relationship is between the images that we both have. So, can I look at life, the clouds, the stars, the trees, the river, the bird on the wing, my wife, my child, my neighbor, this whole earth -can I look at it all without the image? Though you have insulted me, though you have hurt me, though you have said nasty things about me or praised me, can I look at you without the image or the memory of what you have done and said to me?Do see the importance of this, because it's only a mind that has retained the memories of hurt, of insult, that is ready to forgive, if it is at all inclined that way. A mind that is not storing up its insults, the flatteries that it receives, has nothing to forgive or not forgive; therefore there is no conflict. Thought has created these images, both inwardly and outwardly. Can the images come to an end, and thought look at everything in life afresh? If you can do this, you will find that without your conscious, deliberate effort to change, change has taken place, a radical change. Most people are ambitious; they want to be somebody: authors, painters, businessmen, or politicians. Priests want to become archbishops. Thought has created this society and sees the advantage of becoming powerful, dominant, an important person, which happens only through ambition. Thought has created the image through observation of the man in power and wants the pleasure of owning a big house, having a picture appear in the papers, and all the rest of it. Can one live in this world without ambition, without the image of pleasure which thought has created? Can one function technologically, outwardly, without this poison of ambition? It can be done, but it is possible only when we understand the origin of thinking and understand actually, factually, the unreality of the division between the observer and the observed. Then we can proceed, because then virtue has a totally different meaning. It is not the moral virtue of an ugly, corrupt society, but virtue which is order. Virtue, like humility, is not something to be cultivated by thought. Thought is not virtuous; it is bourgeois, petty, and thought cannot possibly understand either love or virtue or humility.

 In the first half, tax change advocate Bill Spillane discussed the 'FairTax' alternative-- a flat retail tax that would replace income and payroll taxes, along with a rebate for those who can't afford it. The current US income tax code is "a giant anchor on our ship, and we're trying to drag that anchor down the waterway and it's slowing us down and causing us all kinds of trouble," such as sending jobs overseas, and making locally made products more expensive, he remarked. The FairTax is not merely a reform-- it's an actual replacement for all forms of federal income taxes, including estate taxes, capital gains, alternative minimum, self-employment etc., he explained.

People will have more money in their pockets and can decide how they would like spend it. According to the plan, everyone will pay the same flat tax rate at the cash register-- 23%. Legal residents will be eligible for a "prebate"-- a rebate on taxes based on the size of their family, which makes the tax progressive, he explained, adding that the amount of tax a person pays will depend on how much they spend buying items. One benefit of FairTax is that it will create enormous job opportunities in the US, as new business investment comes flooding in, he said. Spillane suggested that people contact their local political representatives to push for the H.R. 25 FairTax Act (Congress, currently has 67 Representatives as co-sponsors) and the S. 155 FairTax Act (Senate, currently has 6 Senators co-sponsoring).

In the latter half, astronomy professor Chris Impey detailed the latest news in space exploration. As the environment on Earth changes, space travel could be essential to the survival and evolution of mankind, he believes. The privatization model for space exploration has become more predominant, he said, because private companies can move more nimbly than governments, and by having a profit motive, they strive to keep costs down and be more innovative. The Mars One project, which aims to place colonists on the Red Planet is still in play, though they've pushed back the launch date to the mid 2020s, and there is some skepticism that they can technically achieve their goals, Impey noted.

One of the space technologies he finds exciting is solar sails, which coupled with miniaturization techniques, could harness the sun's energy to move through the solar system. Developing a space elevator could greatly reduce costs of missions in our solar system, he added. One of the most compelling targets for further exploration is Saturn's moon Titan, which has liquid methane oceans, said Impey. If it has life, it would be based on a different kind of biology than what is found on Earth.

So there you have it, US top brass retiring into Yakuza fronts. Blair was speaking at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan where he dutifully rolled out the current Washington D.C. party line for the corporate propaganda press. This writer was repeatedly denied an opportunity to ask Blair a question so we will post our question here:

“Mr. Blair, you work for Yohei Sasagawa, a man who creates money out of thin air by fraudulently claiming it is backed by legendary treasures hidden in Indonesian and Philippine caves. Unfortunately your European allies and most of the rest of the world no longer believe the stories of Sasagawa and his fellow gangsters and are building an alternative financial system. My question to you is ‘at what point are you people going to accept reality and agree to renegotiate the international geopolitical and financial architecture to reflect current world demographic and economic reality?’”

My follow up question was to be “The United States Constitution clearly states that the power to create money belongs to the government of the people of the United States so at what point is the US military going to keep its oath to protect the constitution by nationalizing the Federal Reserve Board and freeing the American people from debt slavery?”

The fact I was denied the opportunity to ask these questions reminded me once again that one of the subtle tactics used by the cabal to control such staged events as press conferences is to make sure only reporters who follow the party line are allowed to ask questions.

In any case, listening to the party line as expressed by Blair did provide some important insights into what is happening to the regime in Washington D.C. and its Japanese slave subsidiary. The most important thing Blair said was that the recent speech to the US Congress and Senate by Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu was “not a pretty sight,” and he was “trying to meddle” in US domestic affairs. Public comments of this nature, especially about Israel, at a corporate press conference constitute very strong language. Blair thus confirmed what this writer’s pentagon and agency sources have been telling him and that is that there a concerted campaign going on to remove both Israel’s Netanyahu and the Saudi Arabian regime.

The Saudi regime has asked Egypt, Pakistan and other Muslim countries to help it but all have refused. Pentagon sources are saying that China, Russia and even Netanyahu’s own supporters are twisting his arm to try to get him to end the Zionist nightmarish plan to start World War 3.

The Saudi regime and many members of the Netanyahu regime will be tried as war criminals at the end of all this, the pentagon sources promise. In addition, they will be forced to pay massive financial compensation, the sources say.

So, while US the military industrial complex has now clearly turned its back on the Zionists and the Saudis, it is also clear the current leadership is thinking very small and short term about the future.

Getting back to the world as described by Blair, he does note the best friend the US government now has is Japan, or as he put it, “Japan is one of the few countries in sync,” with the US. The US side is pushing Japan to pass laws that will in effect allow the pentagon to integrate its forces with the Japanese army as the lynchpin to their “pivot to Asia.”

Japanese slave Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will visit the US towards the end of this month where he will read speech to a joint session of Congress that will be carefully prepared by his US and Yakuza handlers. In it, he will try to announce an enhanced US/Japan alliance as a key to a big move to counter balance China. They will also try to get Abe to announce a final accord on the Trans Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement (TPP).

Unfortunately for Abe and his US handlers, the fact that the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Switzerland were among the 50 countries that wanted to join China’s proposed Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank means the entire scenario trying to present the puppet Abe as a powerful Asian leader and alternative to China is failing. It is now a fact that the Europeans have publicly renounced US leadership of the world’s financial architecture. Abe is just a Japanese Obama, a non-white face for the usual Washington puppet masters (minus the Zionists) to hide behind.

The fascist Japanese power brokers like Yohei Sasagawa, and US based Japan handlers who are behind Abe just do not get that they are facing a paradigm shift and not just business as usual with a few changes. Even if Abe goes to Washington and reads his handlers’ speech to the puppets gathered there, he is no longer relevant because Washington is no longer the center of the world stage.

Another thing to note is that Blair, who we are told represents the cutting edge of the US military industrial complex, apparently sincerely believes the blatant statistical lies about the US economy being in a recovery instead of being in freefall. Wishful thinking should never be a part of serious intelligence work.

Another thing that was learned from watching the public performance of a top military industrial complex apparatchik was how much they fail to understand how the internet has totally destroyed the old firewall between what they knew and what was released to the public. He seemed to believe public discourse could still be controlled through falsehoods about things like the true state of the economy made to brainwashed corporate reporters when, in fact, the net gives most of the thinking public intelligence briefings as good as or better than what he is getting.

One thing Blair did say though that is worth mentioning was that China stole about $300 billion dollars and $200 billion dollars’ worth of trade secrets respectively from the US and Japan in 2013. What this shows is that the internet is turning into a noosphere or global consciousness where all information is visible and shared. In such a world, the old mentality of trying to control others through propaganda, secret technology and military force is becoming irrelevant. The Chinese already produces 11 times more steel than the US and have pretty much open access to their intellectual property so, if they wanted to create a giant modern army they could but, they choose not to. In such circumstances it is better to turn them into partners than enemies.

To that end, the White Dragon Society last week made a proposal for the governance structure of the proposed world economic planning agency. The proposal calls for giving a 20% voting share to China, 17% each for Europe and North America, 14% for Japan plus Korea (South and North) and 32% for the other countries. This would put East and West on equal terms with 34% of the vote each and give the deciding vote to the South.

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank could exist as a separate institution under this proposal but it should expand its horizons and aim to be the world infrastructure investment bank.

In any case, news was rather slow during the last week because of the lull in the secret negotiations on how to update the existing global architecture. The Greek crisis can was kicked down the road until May because of this. Things should pick up again towards the end of the month.

Resulting award will be used for training/qualification only, not for duty use, and will be used as a direct substitution in lieu of procuring like quantities of duty ammunition. The requirement will result in an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract against which individual delivery orders will be placed. Estimated quantity is approximately 12,600,000 (12.6 million) rounds of .223 Rem training ammunition per year, totaling 62,500,000 (62.5 million) over the life of the contract. Key criteria for the training ammunition includes, but is not limited to: being easily distinguishable from duty ammunition (both in packaging and cartridge appearance), and meeting ballistic criteria to insure officer competency requirements are achievable.
