Webster Tarpley -- Rand Paul a Libertarian Manchurian Candidate?

Webster Tarpley on Ron Paul's secession comments, and Mitt Romney will not run for President in 2016

Webster Tarpley Historian and President of Washington Grove Institute, a think tank in Washington D.C, Webster Tarpley, discussed the conspiratorial mindset, and shared his intriguing analysis of current geopolitical and historical situations. More and more people are turning toward conspiracies because the "official story" behind such events as 9-11 and the JFK assassination are unbelievable or fantastic, he said. Tarpley doesn't consider himself a conspiracy theorist, but a seeker of truth, though he admitted that the uncovering of facts in many instances often does point to conspiracies. We live in an oligarchy run by financiers, and they often do conspire together for shared goals, he noted, adding that they compose a shadow government that secretly rules the US, intersecting with people at the State Dept., the CIA, and perhaps the Treasury and the Federal Reserve.

Tarpley spoke about his forthcoming book about Pearl Harbor and the assassination of FDR. We're told a lot of fakery about Roosevelt like he provoked Japan, and that he kept his Naval Admirals in the dark, but the opposite was true, he said. Further, a group of Wall St. Republicans that FDR put in control of the Pentagon wanted a defeat to weaken FDR in the postwar world, and Churchill knew the time and place of the Pearl Harbor attack but kept quiet in order to draw the US into the war, he continued. Roosevelt was poisoned by a female Russian painter in April 1945, Tarpley claimed, and Stalin reportedly told FDR's son "your father was poisoned/murdered by the Churchill gang."

Tarpley also commented on current situations in France, China, and Russia, as well as Syria and Libya, two countries that he visited during recent turmoils. America can get out of its economic woes by seizing control of the Federal Reserve, and stop using it to give 0% loans to bankers and financial interests, and instead give these loans with a hundred year maturity to the states, who could then start massive infrastructure rebuilding projects, he argued.
Webster Griffin Tarpley is a philosopher of history who seeks to provide the programs and strategies needed to overcome the current world crisis. As an activist historian he first became widely known for his book George Bush: The Unauthorized Biography (1992), a masterpiece of research which is still a must read. Tarpley is a member of the "world anti-imperialist conference" Axis for Peace, of Scholars for 9/11 Truth and of a research Netzwerk of German 9/11 authors founded in September 2006. He is featured in the film, Zero: an investigation into 9/11 During 2008, he warned of the dangers of an Obama presidency controlled by Wall Street with Obama: The Postmodern Coup, The Making of a Manchurian Candidate and Barack H. Obama: The Unauthorized Biography. His interest in economics is reflected in Surviving the Cataclysm: Your Guide Through the Worst Financial Crisis in Human HistoryAgainst Oligarchy. He is currently completing a study of Pearl Harbor as an episode in Wall Street's war against President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the New Deal, and FDR's economic bill of rights. His books have appeared in Japanese, German, Italian, French, and Spanish. From 1974 to 1984, he was a correspondent in central Europe, during which time he co-authored Chi ha ucciso Aldo Moro (Who Killed Aldo Moro, 1978) a study of international terrorism. In 1979-80, he appeared as commentator for Teleradiosole, a television station in Rome. From 1984 to 1996, he was a correspondent in Washington DC. Tarpley is the co-author of George Bush: The Unauthorized Biography (1992), which has sold 30,000 copies and remains the only critical biography of the former President. In 1997 he published an anthology entitled Against Oligarchy: Essays and Speeches 1970-1996. These books can be consulted on the internet at www.tarpley.net. His 9/11 Synthetic Terror, the Bible of the 9/11 Truth Movement, has sold over 20,000 copies. His two books on Obama are virtually the only critical ones in print from a progressive viewpoint. Tarpley has lectured in numerous colleges and universities around the world. In 1995 he was named a consultant to the Universal Ecological Academy of Moscow. He holds an MA from Skidmore College and a Ph.D. in history from the Catholic University of America. Webster Tarpley's talk show World Crisis Radio is now broadcast on the Genesis World Report on GCNLive Free Internet Streaming Radio, Saturdays, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Eastern (1-3 Central, 11-1 Pacific), all 4 networks.

Rand Paul : The NSA is collecting the records of every American

Its very simple like a very simple long ago when this nation was actually worth caring about We the People set up the government for us by our consent now because of the sheeple and idiotic American people our government is now ruling us like we are slaves , so I got one question what world do we live in where they can break the laws and then prosecute somebody (Snowden) for telling the people that they are breaking the laws am I missing something here ....

We need privacy because the law can be wrong and need to be challenged at times (take Rosa Parks and the race segregation laws for instance).

We need privacy because the legal framework doesn't reflect the constitution at times.

We should have a government of the people, by the people, for the people. Increasingly. it seems we have a government of the lobbyists and political elite, by the lobbyists and political elite, and for the lobbyists and political elite.

"The law perverted! And the police powers of the state perverted along with it! The law, I say, not only turned from its proper purpose but made to follow an entirely contrary purpose! The law become the weapon of every kind of greed! Instead of checking crime, the law itself guilty of the evils it is supposed to punish!

If this is true, it is a serious fact, and moral duty requires me to call the attention of my fellow-citizens to it."

- Frederic Bastiat, The Law, 1848

Rand Paul brings class-action lawsuit against NSA

The National Security Agency is under fire in a new way, as Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) spearheads a class-action lawsuit that claims the secretive spy agency violated Americans' constitutional rights with its bulk metadata collection programs. "We think everybody in America who has a cell phone would be eligible for this class-action suit," Paul said. In the meantime, the NSA is also facing questions from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) as to whether they are spying on members of Congress the way they are spying on world leaders. RT's Meghan Lopez discusses the latest NSA developments with Rachel Levinson-Waldman, counsel to the Brennan Center's Liberty and National Security Program.

Senator Rand Paul Annouces Lawsuit Against Obama Over NSA Spying - Hannity

One senator cannot bring down this incredible evil that has taken over. And you can bet before the NSA started spying on millions of innocent Americans , they had collected life long data on the 535 elected Senators and Congressmen , and any top laws firms in the country that might be able to put up a good fight, and its for those reasons alone , The NSA must be reeled in , and mass surveillance shutdown , they can take and twist data on anyone of us , claim national secrecy , and say we are guilty something we did not do , and all you Americans out there that don't think they will do just that when they need to , that's what Hitler did with those same powers when fully operational and uncontested.
America is not a great country right now , its being led by criminals in our government and traitors that want to crush our constitutional rights and sovereign citizenship to turn us into slaves that need their security.

US citizens > US military. Hence Rothschild and co. built the TSA, NSA and other agencies to disguise their banker-led takeover. But they do fear an awake and angry populace; ie educating others of their tyranny is the first step to eventually hunting down and eliminating their defunct inbred genes from our gene pool. The largest army ever in the history of mankind are the gun owners of America I'm not in favor of violence anyway, but I agree. If at least 10% of American people were to fight ...That means 30millions of people shooting. No "Call To Arms" = Nothing to stop these federal criminals of the highest order from destroying Our Beloved Republic.

Senator Rand Paul Attempting To Start Class Action Lawsuit Against The NSA

Sounds positive, however, the citizens of the United States of America should not have to file Class Action Lawsuits against a government entity that is in total breach of the Fourth Amendment and the Constitution.  The remedy is in Congress and the Supreme Court.  It seems like trivial pursuits in light of the massive invasions of privacy that Snowden revealed.  That is the process.

Rand Paul: 40 Times More People Have Lost Their Insurance In Kentucky Than Signed Up For Obamacare

The L.A. Times reports Obamacare enrollment in Kentucky is outpacing estimates. Senator Rand Paul gives his take on CNN's Out Front with Erin Burnett.

Rand Paul Tells Erin Burnett Democrat 'Intransigence' Keeping Government Shut Down

10/2/13 - Immediately following statements from party leaders in the House and Senate on their Wednesday evening meeting with President Obama, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) joined Erin Burnett on CNN to speak for Senate Republicans on the state of negotiations with Democrats and the president as day two of the government shutdown comes to a close.

Paul began by insisting the Republicans are trying to "compromise" with the president but are not getting anything in return. "We started out with a position that we don't want any Obamacare," he said. "The president wants all of it, 100%. I would think a compromise would be both sides come off of their positions some."

Burnett countered by reminding Paul that Democrats are offering a spending cap in order to come to a long-term agreement on the budget, asking, "Why isn't that enough? It does seem like Obamacare is a bit of an obsession."

Paul shot back that the Democrats are "defying what the normal history of compromise" has been in Washington. "Their intransigence really is keeping the government shut down." He added later, "When we have a divided government, it means we have to get together and negotiate. The fact that they won't negotiate I think really is untenable. I think they're going to eventually have to talk to us."

One aspect of this debate Paul refused to inject himself into was the growing divide between more moderate Republicans like Rep. Peter King (R-NY) and tea party conservatives like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) over the tactics being used to demonstrate opposition to Obamacare. He instead chose to focus on the commonalities between all members of the GOP.

While he said "everybody" can admit that Republicans did not all agree on the "tactics," Paul stressed that "on Obamacare, we're absolutely united," saying "it's bad for America." Despite that certainty, he said Republicans are willing to compromise. "That's what the American people need to know," he said. "We've been giving and giving and giving. The president is saying 'My way or the highway' and I don't think that's what the American people want."

Finally, Paul insisted that when it comes to the debt ceiling, he's for "taking default completely off the table." He made a promise to the American people and Wall Street "that we will always pay the interest on the debt as a priority."

Rand Paul: President Obama Sent More Security To Shut Down WWII Memorial Than To Benghazi

"There was a time during the attack in Benghazi when there were 5 people there, 4 people and the ambassador. There weren't many people protecting him and today there were 7 people trying to keep the WWII vets from seeing the monument. Somebody did make a political decision, I promise you that someone didn't get all the employees out there putting barricades up for hundreds of yards if they didn't want to make a political statement. They're trying to blame this on Republicans but in the end it's just stupid to block an open monument and say 'oh you can't go look at the monument.'"

Rand Paul: I Hope Russians and Syrians Are 'Sincere' About Diplomatic Approach

The United States and Russia have reached a deal on what to do with Syria's chemical weapons. Syria has one week to declare the location of its stockpile. The agreement also plans to impose United Nations penalties if President Bashar al-Assad's regime fails to comply.

Fox News' Uma Pemmaraju spoke to Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) about how these developments affect the U.S. He said a military solution will make the situation worse and hopes that the Syrians and Russians are sincere about a diplomatic approach. "What's most important is that we get the result we want, and the result would be that the chemical weapons are taken out of Syrian hands and put into international hands."

Sen. Paul said it's not about which country, Russia or the U.S., looks the strongest. "America is the sole remaining super power in probably every imaginable way, and I think that we are also a super power in the sense that we reserve that power [...] to use it reluctantly."

Rand Paul: Putin Is Running Circles Around Obama, If This Were Tennis It'd Be Advantage Putin

Rand Paul joins Fox News' Sean Hannity to discuss Russian President Vladimir Putin's op-ed in the New York Times and the Syrian civil war.

Rand Paul: No Military Outcome Would Remove Any Chemical Weapons Or Make Them Less Likely To Be Used

Sen. Rand Paul, (R-Ky.), on efforts to end the rising tension over Syria's chemical weapons.

"I think ultimately there is a possible diplomatic solution here and it's much better than the military outcome. No military outcome would remove any chemical weapons or make them less likely to be used. A diplomatic solution where they're removed from the country, though, does remove them from harm to Israel, to Jordan, to Turkey, so I think a diplomatic solution is so much to be desired that I would even put up with some of the pinpricking from Putin and I guess, you know, back and forth and tweaking that he'd like to do."

Rand Paul To White House: 'Call Off Syria Vote'

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) wants the White House to call off the congressional vote that would potentially authorize strikes against Syria. He told Neil Cavuto on Your World, "I guess my problem is today on the anniversary of 9/11, we ought to remember who attacked us -- Al Qaeda."

The senator said it's difficult to isolate which rebel groups are associated with Al Qaeda in Syria. Referencing the war in Afghanistan, he said, "[They] say I love America until you turn around and they shoot you in the back. [...] So when people line up in Syria and say please give me a stinger missile, [...] can we trust them?"

Rand Paul: It Troubles Me That President Thinks He Can Still Attack Syria Even If Congress Votes No

On Hannity, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) spoke out against taking military action in Syria. Earlier today during the Senate hearing, he pressed Secretary of State John Kerry on the clear objective is for the United States.

Sen. Paul told Sean Hannity that he doesn't believe there's a good outcome if the U.S. bombs Syria. Furthermore, he said there is no clear friend for the U.S. within the rebels.

I want to be proud of the President, there haven't been many times. I wanted to be proud that he was asking for congressional authority. And I was for about a minute until I heard him say 'oh, but, it's just a fake vote. If you vote against me I'll still bomb Syria because I have all the authority I need.' That troubles me..." Paul said.

He criticized the resolution put forth by the Congress because it restricts the power of the president to execute the war. "So while I think the president is limited on initiating the war, I think the president has most, if not all, of the power on how to execute the war."

Rand Paul : I Say To ALL Americans Enough is ENOUGH! We're NOT Gonna Take It Anymore!

We can neither feed the poor, house the homeless nor save American homes in foreclosure, but we sure as hell can fund endless wars. Put both the house and the senate in prison for the crime of unAmerican activities and willful aiding our enemies.

Rand Paul Speaks At The Veterans of Foreign Wars National Convention 7/22/13

Rand Paul (R-Ky.) spoke at the 114th Veterans of Foreign Wars National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Kentucky Republican, who has not been shy in hinting he may run for president in 2016, has been a critic of overseas military adventurism that partly defined President George W. Bush's two terms in office, as well as the use of drone strikes under both Mr. Bush's administration and that of President Obama.

"America has never backed down from a fight, but we should never be one that is eager to get involved in civil wars that don't affect our national security," he said. "Is our involvement in Egypt, Syria and Pakistan to our benefit or our detriment? We must have the strongest military on Earth — not because we are eager to use it, but so that no one would ever dare challenge us."

Rand Paul

Mr. Paul went on to quote President Reagan's first inaugural address: "Our forbearance...should never be misunderstood. Our reluctance for conflict should not be misjudged as a failure of will. When action is required to preserve our national security, we will act. We will maintain sufficient strength to prevail if need be, knowing that if we do so we have the best chance of never having to use that strength."

For the country's sake and for veterans' sake, Mr. Paul said, "America's mission should always be to keep the peace, not to police the world."

Rand Paul: Obama Will Bail Out Detroit 'Over My Dead Body'

Sen. Rand Paul said he will use every resource he has at his disposal to stop President Barack Obama from bailing out newly-bankrupt Detroit because he believes the city can and must save itself and learn from its fiscal mistakes. "I basically say he [Obama] is bailing them out over my dead body because we don't have any money in Washington."

"There's some good things that come out of bankruptcy," Paul said in a phone interview from Iowa. "One is you get to start over. Bankruptcy lets you be forgiven of your debt. And you do so by getting new management, better management, and by getting rid of unwieldy contracts, contracts that give you where public employees are getting paid twice what private employees are and things come back more to normal. That's the way cities and businesses can recover.

"I basically say he [Obama] is bailing them out over my dead body because we don't have any money in Washington."

RAND PAUL On The Issues: Foreign Aid

Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky on foreign aid.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) urged that the United States bring its troops home from a costly war in Afghanistan, cut foreign aid especially to potentially hostile countries like Egypt, and take serious steps towards reforming entitlements and the tax code. He also said that, like his father Ron, he believes he can appeal to the youth vote and help make the GOP competitive in "blue and purple states."

The few who understand the system will either be so interested in its profits or so dependent on its favours that there will be no opposition from that class, while on the other hand, the great body of the people mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that capital derives from the system will bear its burdens without complaint and perhaps without even suspecting that the system is inimical to their interests.
