Build up to WW3 RUSSIA holds Largest WAR GAMES since COLD WAR Response to 'Simulated US Attack'

Build up to WW3 - RUSSIA holds Largest WAR GAMES since COLD WAR. Response to 'Simulated US Attack'

Straight out of Russian news, Vladimir Putin has called for the nation's strategic bombers to enter a state of 'full combat readiness' following the 'snap drills' that were initiated after Israel bombed Russian-made missiles within Syria.

Originally being revealed by an anonymous intelligence individuals within the US military and shared with CNN as reported by the Israeli National News, the revelation that Israel was behind the strike on the Russian-made missiles in Syria may be behind the reason for the combat drill — assuming the Russians found out before the general public. Unfortunately, the US mainstream media is too busy covering the minor intricacies of what George Zimmerman ate for breakfast today to discuss the potential brewing of mega conflict.

And when you throw Edward Snowden into this mix of tensions between world powers, it's additional fuel on the fire amid all of this diplomatic turmoil. And with the intelligence leak that it was Israel who blew up Russia's missiles after they deemed them to be a threat to the country, you have a real serious key going into the ignition of world war.

Whether or not escalations reach the point of conflict, and I certainly hope they do not (as Israel vs Russia is the absolute 'perfect storm' setup to launch the next world war and potential nuclear armageddon), the amassing of over 160,000 troops and strategic bombers with orders to achieve 'full combat readiness' is newsworthy. But apparently not to the mainstream media within the United States. A simple Google search at the time of writing for 'Russia 160,000 troops' will in fact bring up forums, social media posts, Russian websites, and small-time blogs.

The largest Russian military exercise since the cold war was a simulated response to a "hypothetical attack by Japanese and US forces,"

The wargames, which involved 130 combat aircraft, 70 ships, 5,000 tanks, 160,000 troops and 320 tons of equipment took place in Russia's Far East near the border with China. The drill was the result of a "snap order" given by Vladimir Putin on Friday which tasked the Russian military to achieve full "combat readiness" in a short time frame.

"The Sakhalin part of the maneuvers was intended to simulate a response to a hypothetical attack by Japanese and US forces," Konstantin Sivkov told BBC News.

The fact that the exercises targeted Japan is interesting given that Japan's Air Self-Defense Force was forced to scramble jets to track the movement of two Russian bear bombers that flew near Japanese airspace and over the disputed Kuril Islands on Monday.

Although Russia denied that the drills were also aimed at China, independent Moscow-based military analyst Alexander Khramchikhin said that "the land part of the exercise is directed at China, while the sea and island part of it is aimed at Japan."

Vladimir Putin, who personally witnessed the exercises, said he was proud of the outcome and that the drill displayed a "high degree" of combat readiness.

With the US and Russia on the verge of a proxy war in Syria following Israel's bombing of Russian weapons supplies earlier this month, tensions between the two superpowers are once again starting to simmer. America's support for jihadist rebels has angered Russia, which firmly backs the Assad government and has a huge geopolitical stake in preventing its collapse.

"cold war" revelation attack israel weapon report newspaper tension fighter "fighter jet" technology people humanity "made in russia" public truth agenda "build up to war"  trends in the news The wargames took place amidst a Russian military build-up that has accelerated in recent years.

Russia is currently engaged in the largest military build-up since the cold war, including the development of a new missile defense radar in southern Russia designed to counter missiles launched from Europe, as part of maneuvers which pose, "a strategic threat to the United States and NATO allies," according to US military officials.

Russia is also working on a new generation of nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles called the Yars-M which "Russian officials say will be able to penetrate U.S. missile defenses."

BUILD UP TO WW3 ~ US and China starting new Cold War

Build up to WW3 US and China starting new Cold War

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta announced plans Thursday to deploy combat ships to Singapore for joint exercises, which he said showed US commitment to the strategically vital Asia-Pacific region.

The announcement came a day after Panetta met Singaporean Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen at the Pentagon, and while the first of 2,500 US Marines sent to Australia were starting work -- to the irritation of regional superpower China.

"The Defense Department's move to deploy US combat ships to Singapore and raise the level of joint exercises will deepen the bilateral military relationship," said a joint statement from the defense chiefs.

"The deployment signals US commitment to the region and enhances the ability to train and engage with regional partners," it said.

"Both leaders underscored the shared belief that a strong US presence in the Asia-Pacific region enhances regional stability and security."

The United States signaled last December that it could send the "littoral combat ships," small, surface vessels intended for operations close to shore, to Singapore.

The Pentagon statement said the ships would be deployed on a rotational basis and will not be based in Singapore, which is a long-standing ally of the United States.

Pentagon spokeswoman Commander Leslie Hull-Ryde, said "the specific details related to this unprecedented engagement are still being discussed," but noted that it marked a "significant movement in terms of our cooperation."

The US military already operates a small post in Singapore that assists in logistics and exercises for forces in Southeast Asia.

China's defense ministry, however, has been scornful over increased American military activity in Asia, saying it is proof of a "Cold War mentality" from Washington.

Chinese state media has also accused President Barack Obama of using such action to act as a distraction from US economic woes.

The US views with increasing concern China's growing assertiveness in territorial disputes in the Asia-Pacific region, such as the South China Sea.

The deployment of Marines to Australia has reassured some Asian countries, who see it as a statement that the United States intends to stand up for its allies and interests.

China maintains it has a policy of "peaceful development" with all countries.

In an academic article forecasting the shape of the US Navy in 2025, Admiral Jonathan Greenert, chief of naval operations, wrote in December 2011 that "we will station several of our newest littoral combat ships" in Singapore.

WW3 in ACTION Syria THREATENS RETALIATION for Israeli AIRSTIKE Iran WILL defend Syria

WW3 in ACTION: Syria THREATENS RETALIATION for Israeli AIRSTIKE! Iran WILL defend Syria!

Syria has filed an official complaint to the United Nations over an Israeli airstrike on a military research center near Damascus. The move followed a threat from Iran that Israel would face "serious consequences" for the attack. RT spoke to Prof. Seyed Mohammad Marandi - Iranian academic and political analyst. He says that Israel should be concerned about Iran's possible answer to the airstrike in Syria.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast has condemned Israel's airstrike on Syria, saying that the Tel Aviv regime seeks to create insecurity and instability in the region. "The operation conducted by the aggressive Zionist forces against some targets in Syria last night shows that this regime is after creating instability and insecurity in regional countries as well as weakening the resistance movement," Mehmanparast said in an interview with Press TV on Thursday. He went on to say that Israel's move also indicates that the Tel Aviv regime continues its crimes and aggressions whenever it finds the opportunity.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman warned that those who are creating tension, insecurity and instability in Syria are "in fact voluntarily or involuntarily laying the ground for more violations and aggressions by the Zionist regime [of Israel]." "Regional countries should be aware of the main danger in the region. They [West and Israel] are trying to create a rift between Islamic countries in the region. They are also trying to create unrest in countries that are in the frontline of the resistance movement against the occupying Zionist regime [of Israel]," he explained

Build up to WW3 - North Korea Steps Up Missile Firings

North Korea Fires 3 Missiles into Sea of Japan

North Korea on Saturday launched three short-range missiles into the Sea of Japan, apparently as part of a military drill, South Korea's defence ministry said.

US and South Korean forces had been on heightened alert for a medium-range ballistic missile test in recent weeks amid
tensions triggered by North Korea's nuclear test in February.

"North Korea launched two guided missiles in the morning and another one in the afternoon," a defence ministry spokesman said.

"The missiles landed in the East Sea (Sea of Japan)," he said.

South Korea was maintaining intense surveillance of the North and keeping a high-level of readiness to deal with any risky developments, he added.

North Korea sometimes launches short-range missiles for tests or as part of military drills.

"A more detailed analysis will be needed but the missiles launched may be a modified anti-ship missile or the KN-02 surface-to-surface missile derived from the Soviet era SS-21 that has a range of about 120 kilometres," a Seoul official told Yonhap news agency.

Following the move, the United States urged the North to exercise restraint, without specifically commenting on the launches.

"We are closely monitoring the situation on the Korean Peninsula. As is standard practice, we do not comment on intelligence matters," Darby Holladay, a state department spokesman said.

"We continue to urge North Korea to exercise restraint and take steps to improve its relations with its neighbours."

Seoul meanwhile branded the tests "serious" provocations.

"The international community will levy much tougher sanctions against North Korea for its continued absurd provocation," Min Hyun-Joo, spokeswoman of the ruling Saenuri Party, was quoted as saying by Yonhap.

"No compensations or benefits will be allowed if North Korea fails to show changes in its policy toward the right direction," she added.

The launches followed a joint South Korea-US naval exercise this week, slammed by North Korea as a "wanton" provocation and rehearsal for war.

A US defence official said last week that two North Korean Musudan medium-range missiles that had been primed for firing as tensions flared in the run-up to the North's national celebrations on April 15 had been moved from their launch site.

Musudan missiles have an estimated range of 2,500 to 4,000 kilometres (1,500 to 2,500 miles), enough to reach South Korea and Japan and potentially US military bases on the Pacific island of Guam.

US and South Korean officials had been worried that any test of the medium-range missiles would trigger a fresh surge in tensions, which escalated after the North carried out a nuclear test in February.

UN sanctions imposed after the test triggered a cycle of escalating military tensions on the Korean peninsula that are only now beginning to subside.

An aide to the Japanese prime minister returned home from a controversial trip to North Korea on Saturday, fuelling speculation that Pyongyang may be trying to thaw icy relations with Japan.

At the height of the tensions, Pyongyang threatened pre-emptive nuclear strikes on the United States and South Korea.

Build Up to WW3 ~ America Playing a Dangerous Game with N. Korea

WW3-APOCALYPSE-WARNING--US-PLAYING-VERY-DANGEROUS-GAME-WITH-N-KOREA-

An analyst tells Press TV that the United States has engaged in 'a very dangerous game' in the Korean Peninsula by precipitating the crisis in the region through its war games around North Korea. North Korea has said it will prepare its nuclear force for an all-out war against the US as it blames Washington for the escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula. Tensions between the US and North Korea sharply heightened after the US dispatched nuclear-capable B-52s and B-2 stealth bombers to participate in joint military drills with South Korea. The moves prompted Pyongyang to step up its war rhetoric, authorizing its army to launch preemptive nuclear strikes on the US.

Breaking News : China Signals it will Back North Korea in War end times news update ~ 7 April 2013

7 April 2013 Breaking News China Signals it will Back North Korea in War end times news update 4-7-13

China won't sell out North Korea, no matter how much it should, and that sends a message to the rest of the world.

Who would you rather have in your corner? Who is going to stand by you when times are tough? China or America?

Officially China may not be too happy about the way that North Korea is acting. Or maybe it is.

China isn't too worried that Obama will actually drop his golf clubs and stand up to the Communist banker of his welfare state. It doesn't want to appear too crazy in public, but it has moved to a more militarist stance and North Korean aggressiveness serves its interests by tying up the United States in Korea while allowing its leaders to be the ones who claim to have the choke hold on the Nuclear Hound of North Korea.

But if push does come to shove, then China has North Korea's back. Unlike Obama Inc. which only has the Muslim Brotherhood's back.

China continued moving tanks and armored vehicles and flying flights near North Korea this week as part of a military buildup in the northeastern part of the country that U.S. officials say is related to the crisis with North Korea.

The Obama administration, meanwhile, sought to play down the Chinese military buildup along the border with Beijing fraternal communist ally despite the growing danger of conflict following unprecedented threats by Pyongyang to attack the United States and South Korea with nuclear weapons. The buildup appears linked to North Korea's March 30 announcement that it is in a state of war with South Korea after the United Nations imposed a new round of sanctions following the North's Feb. 12 2013 nuclear test and because of ongoing large-scale joint U.S.-South Korea military exercises.

The People's Liberation Army (PLA) troop and tank movements were reported in Daqing, located in northeastern Heilongjiang Province, and in the border city of Shenyang, in Liaoning Province.

Officials said one key military unit involved in the mobilization is the 190th Mechanized Infantry Brigade based in Benxi, Liaoning Province. The brigade is believed to be the PLA's frontline combat unit that would respond to any regional conflict or refugee flows. Troops and tank movements also were reported in Dandong, in Liaoning Province. Fighter jets were reported flying in larger numbers in Fucheng, Hebei Province, and in Zhangwu and Changchun, Liaoning Provinces. Additionally, the troop buildup is a signal to Pyongyang that China will abide by its defense commitment to North Korea in the event of renewed conflict.

If the PRC really wanted to discourage North Korea's misbehavior, then it would avoid the buildup. After all the only thing China really has to worry about is a flood of refugees and it doesn't need jets or tanks to deal with them.

The message being sent is that China, unlike the United States, doesn't abandon its allies.

Obama may have sold out Poland on missile defense and sold out the UK on the Falklands and Israel on Hamas. Obama sold out Mubarak and the leaders of most American allies in the Middle East.

March 31st 2013 Presstv reports - Russian president Putin orders unscheduled military drill in Black Sea Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered an unexpected military exercise involving dozens of ships and thousands of troops in the Black Sea.

Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday that Putin issued the order for the large-scale maneuvers overnight as he flew back from the South African city of Durban after a two-day summit of the BRICS group of emerging powers.

Peskov further said the drill is aimed at testing the battle-readiness of Russia's Black Sea units. "These are large-scale unannounced test exercises. The main goal is to check the readiness and cohesion of the various units," he said.

The ships taking part in the exercise have already left the Russia-leased Sevastopol port in Ukraine's Crimea Peninsula, the Russian spokesman added.

According to a Kremlin statement, the drill will involve 36 vessels, up to 7,000 troops and an unspecified number of aircraft. However, the statement did not specify how long the exercise would last.

Russian foreign affairs analyst Fyodor Lukyanov, who is also the editor of Russia in Global Affairs journal, said, "It is flexing muscles and may have more to do with what is happening in the Mediterranean, around Syria, than in the Black Sea."

In January, Russia launched its largest naval exercises in decades in the Mediterranean and Black Seas near the territorial waters of Syria.

Moscow said the drills were "held in line with the Russian Armed Forces' 2013 combat training plan," and focused on "interoperability of task forces from several fleets while on a mission in a far-off maritime zone."

In addition to Georgia and Ukraine, Russia shares the Black Sea with Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania.
